Disappointing Experience After Years of Satisfaction

We are a long-standing and previously satisfied client of IVG. Until recently, we experienced good service and clear communication. Unfortunately, our last two interactions in 2025 have raised serious concerns about professionalism and reliability.

In our most recent case, we received verbal and written confirmation from IVG that a specific auction item (13024-112) would be available for inspection in Berlin. Based on this, we arranged international travel from Romania for one of our representatives.

When our team member arrived on the scheduled day, access was again confirmed over the phone—only for us to be informed later, without warning, that the item had been removed from the auction due to third-party issues.

We submitted a formal written complaint detailing the time lost, travel expenses, and lack of prior notice. IVG responded with repeated template messages and did not answer our questions or offer any remedy.

As a professional buyer, we are disappointed by the shift in how issues are handled. We hope IVG will return to its previous standards, but based on our experience this year, we cannot currently recommend them for international or business-critical purchases.

We understand how frustrating it must have been to organize international travel based on an agreed appointment, only to face an unexpected change. Unfortunately, in rare cases, items may be withdrawn from auctions at short notice due to third-party or legal reasons beyond our control. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that our communication in this case should have been clearer and more proactive.

Please rest assured that your concerns have been spoken about internally and we are reviewing our procedures to prevent similar misunderstandings in the future.
