Yall I'm not saying that your experience is fake but please if your struggling seek help. I bet many of you guys just loose points and give up the entire thing. There is more than one person, and more than one site. Try seeking easier ones if you don't like your current one. You can struggle but don't take it too far because they offer hints that I guess you don't use and it's school. It's meant to be hard anyway. Its not so you can just close the computer without asking anyone for help and saying you hate it. And no, this isn't torture. If it was then it'd actually do something to your body. Just helping you understand most of this is overreacting.

I would give this -1 stars of I could it made multiple people I know have suicidal thoughts and 20% of the answers are incorrect, I reaserch so I wanna say words I legally cannot say.

I got a question wrong just because of a stupid typo, 1 star. I would NOT recommend this if you are looking for some learning program not stressful

this app is bad instead of the teachers teaching you they make you do ixl for a hour it is bad 1 out of 5 do not recommend

TEACHERS NEED TO WAKE UP. I DON'T THINK IT'S NORMAL THAT STUDENTS ARE MORE STRESSED WHEN DOING IXL MORE THAN EXAMS. THE SMART SCORE AND EXPLANATIONS ARE COMPLETELY USELESS. I WOULD RATHER DO A FIVE-PARAGRAPH ESSAY THAN DO THIS, AND PARENTS THAT ARE SAYING IXL IS GREAT MAKE OUR CHILDREN DO MIDDLE SCHOOL IXL AND WATCH THEIR FACES LOOK AT THE COMPUTER WITH DISAPIONTMENT AND TERROR.

Well,when I tried to this website last year,It didn’t let me make an IXL account and thank god it never let me sign into this dumb website,it is bad,it takes more points than when you gain points,when you get a question wrong,you have to start over,which is stupid

We have to do 40 minutes of IXL every week, if we don’t then our grade in Primetime (starting class) drops drastically. Instead of actually doing missing work during that time, we have to answer repetitive question like robots. And if you get one incorrect, you lose around 15 percent of your progress. And you only get 5 percent if you get an answer correct. And if you have free time because you finished your work early, you have to do IXL until class ends. It’s so bad that I come back from school looking like I joined the marine corps. Fix the damn website and make it actually useful or just shut it down.

It is causes frustration and anxiety for my child.It also lacks guidance for example it shows you video but it requires headphones but you can’t just grab headphones at school.No one even reads the example cause it is useless.My child was well behaved but know he gets angry in class cause of ixl causing anger.If he doesn’t get his ixls finished he gets detention this causes anxiety.ONLY Teachers like it because it is easy to pull out their grades on ixl.SO I NOT RECOMMEND IXL IS AN AWFUL WEBSITE 😡🤬

This site sucks. After getting multiple questions correct, my entire progress fell apart. After an hour, I gave up.

Horrible site, makes me feel dread and sadness the second that its mentioned or having to be done.

The number of times I have cried because of this dumb website is so much that it would be 0 stars if I could.
The only reason it has so many users is because we are forced to use it

This company SUCKS! I was just minding my own business when the IXL headquarters called me! I asked it "Who are you?" and it wouldn't respond until I found the value of X! Then, they bombed my knees!

IXL is honestly one of the most frustrating math/ELA websites I’ve used.

First off, the SmartScore system makes no sense. In the Non-Challenge Zone, you can lose 3 points just for getting something wrong—but sometimes it takes away 5 or even 9 points. Then when you get questions right, it only gives you like 1–4 points back. And in the Challenge Zone, it’s even worse—it usually only gives you +1 point. That’s completely unfair and makes progress feel almost impossible.

It feels like you get punished way harder than you get rewarded, which just makes people want to give up instead of actually learning.

Also, my teacher assigns IXL even when school is closed. During a big snowstorm when we had the whole week off, we still had to do IXL on Thursday and Friday. That doesn’t feel like a break at all.

They say IXL is supposed to “help students,” but honestly, it just causes stress. I’ve seen people get super frustrated or overwhelmed using it.

Compared to IXL, Zearn is way better. At least it doesn’t destroy your progress with huge point drops (even if the Tower of Power can still be rough sometimes).

Overall, IXL feels more like a punishment system than a learning tool.

IXL is very boring, and if my hand slips I can get the question wrong. also when I get used to the format, it changes and I have to get used to it again. it also sends me back to far in the 85-99 range by 4-5 questions. I recommend not using this app and it is even my 10th birthday tomorrow. I might like school without ixl

IXL is the worst way to learn ever. It is the biggest disgrace to learning websites. It's the purgatory of math. You cannot answer a single question wrong without losing 30 points and then for one right answer you get like 5 back. Every wrong question requires at least quadruple to make up for it. Answering questions over and over is absolute hell. A simple mistake, typo, accidental submit causes immense damage to your smart score. Only causing even more questions required. It causes anxiety; you fear answering a simple question and risking 5 more questions worth of work. Simple packets or sheets of paper with problems are much more suited for learning compared to this garbage. Maybe more people would start enjoying math and learning if you didn't drag them through a repetitive hell each and every lesson.

It took me so many questions to get from 86 to 97, and once I got there and misclicked, I got sent back to 88, do you have ANY idea how annoying your SmartScore system is? Your questions aren't even clear. Honestly do better this time.
