From beginning to end, my dealings with Jack have been an absolute disaster.
I purchased a property via Jack, and my experience with him has been unprofessional, to say the least. Throughout the purchase, Jack’s communication was excessive, contacting me multiple times outside business hours.
Jack initially referred me to a broker, who I later left, because without my knowledge he had contacted the broker, potentially ascertaining my personal information without my consent. He then called me outside business hours, panicking and challenging my affordability for the property before the broker had the chance to walk me through their recommendations.
He repeatedly badgered me to contact my new broker on several occasions, asking them to send emails as proof that I could meet the purchasing requirements, far beyond what I felt a competent estate agent would request, especially given that I had already provided a Decision in Principle.
Towards the end of the purchase, he had a childish outburst that I still don’t understand, where he insulted me by calling me “rude” when, in fact, all I did was answer his question. With no apology, he then acted as if it hadn’t happened (as shown in the attached image).
Finally, on the day of the exchange, I was left outside the property with the key hidden on the floor nearby. Jack had informed me he wasn’t available for the key exchange, which I accepted. However, upon trying the key, it didn’t work. This resulted in the previous owner having to squeeze through a tight narrow window gap to give me access to the property.
