If I could give a minus rating to this…

If I could give a minus rating to this company I would, absolute joke of a company, first called them to do work on a some waste pipes coming from the bathroom the answer I received was they don't do that type of work, I gave them the benefit and called again a few months later approximately 2 weeks before Christmas to book someone to do some repair work on my shower was told they were not taking any more bookings till after Christmas I said that's OK but the replied No you have to call back in the new year to book in to which I did to be told they were taking no more bathroom bookings as they were fully booked but didn't say how soon or how far till I could get someone no explanation whatsoever, how this company has any rating at all is beyond me

My landlord had James Foy do our…

My landlord had James Foy do our bathroom as we had a leak, so I'm not sure what the price was, so can't comment on that.
They were on time every day, 2 really helpful and happy fellas which made me feel a lot better about having the job done.
They were fast finding the leak, and getting it under control. They told us step by step what they were going to be doing, and took on board things we mentioned to them.
They done the work to a great standard, and didn't cut corners like I've had from different jobs in the past. Very happy with the work and would definitely recommend them.

Excellent service

Excellent service. Have used for many years to
do gas safety checks. Very efficient and unbelievably polite and helpful. Usually deal with a Gemma. Would definitely recommend and would use for other areas if needed.

Always outstanding

We have used both James Foy Plumbing and Electrics for a few years and always find every aspect of their service outstanding. For both large and small jobs, from the initial call to the very friendly office, they make and keep prompt appointments and do an excellent job. It is very unusual now to find a company which is trustworthy, efficient and turns up when they say they will. If only other skilled tradespeople treated their customers with respect like this.

Avoid them at all costs!!!!!!

I would give zero stars if I could. They checked and rewired my property before my tenants moved in and did a terrible job. Spotlight fittings were damaged and some of the plugs no longer work. They removed a electrical socket by the front door and the wiring/light in the shed without consent. I contacted them a year and a few days later when I moved back into the property and they refused to rectify the issues because I was a few days after the service guarantee. Receptionist was incredibly rude and refused to help. Avoid them at all costs!!!!!!!!

Same old, same old.

It's pretty telling when you read a review like Don O'Connor's, and it's like history repeating itself. Exactly the same thing happened with us - condemning a boiler (arguably) and then having to chase three times for a quotation you were promised within a couple of days, only to be told TWO WEEKS later that they really actually can't do the work. Not very good customer service either - when I called to complain and ask for a reason why, it wasn't the most pleasant of conversations I've had as a customer, let's just say. Now getting the work done by a lovely fella from another Liverpool reliable company.

*Edited after poor response* - no work was carried out, hence no fee to be paid. We were such bad tenants over 12 years that we bought the property at a discount and are still friendly with our ex-landlord. Nice try.

I look forward to hearing the tape recording of me agreeing to the imaginary call-out charge confirmation if you'd like to go further with this. I won't be responding on here anymore as it's becoming embarrassing now.

Debi was horrendous with her poor landlord as a tenant. Now horrendous with us. Same old, same old. You also still owe us money - please contact the office to make payment.

Edit: there is £50.00 call out - agreed on the phone. Please call the office and make payment please. Sure you was!!

Edit 2: If you don't pay it'll just go to court, it's as simple as that. You'll receive a letter in 7 days if there isn't a payment made.

Bad customer service

Had engineer to service boiler and do gas safety certificate on 22nd September he found a problem with the flue and issued a warning do not use notice contacted company do necessary work and despite several phone calls over 6 day's they they couldn't give me a date for work to be done contacted them again 27th and they just said some time next week they new there was family with 2 young children in the house without use of the boiler and really could of handled this better just didn't seem to care customer service appalling

-Prompt service
-Decent price
-Reliable, completed jobs quickly
-Approachable and friendly for example the receptionist remembers me.
- didn't mind me falling asleep on sofa while they worked (night shift worker) XD

Terrible company

Terrible company! Bad service, they just into your money. Me and my partner used them sometimes, always paid on time, realised that they made wrong diagnostics and charged me for the same thing 3 times, when they realised they are wrong asked me to pay for all of the wrong fix and asked me to find someone to fix it.

How can you charge for a diagnostics £40 and say fix is £300 and you pay that again, problem is the same the next day and asking me to find an electrician and after paying £340 it's still my problem! Forced them to find an electrician and he fixed it in the and the problem was not plumbing it should have cost me only £40+£70 but I paid them £550 for the same problem it's a not funny joke! I asked them the refund because they made wrong diagnostics and in necessary fix , got an email from the owner James Foy, very bad attitude. They make you wait weeks ,months No professionalism! Do not use them , you will be ripped off!

Great Service

James Foy Plumbing recently replaced my boiler. The engineer was clean, efficient and left my home immaculate. My parents are now looking at having their bathroom and boiler replaced with James Foy, would highly recommend
