Ordered my Christmas box on November 26th and they shipped it on December 21st. I sent a message many times about my order, and at first the reply was pretty friendly and I thought they will ship it pretty soon. After that, I got different kind of messages how long the shipping will take.
I understand holiday hurries, but what's the point to deliver a christmas box if you can't even get it on time? It was supposed to be a gift, which obviously will not be anymore.
Also, they deleted my pretty casual comment on Instagram, when questioning the shipping time.
Edit// Still nothing received on 4th of January. They won't refund the order, since it's already shipped. Howewer, the status of the package's tracking is not updating anywhere.
2nd Edit// 18th of January: A while ago they told me the package has been stuck at customs but is finally released. And now they answered, that the package may have been lost in transit and gave a 50$ gift card to their stores.
Full refund would've been better 'cause I really have no trust to this company anymore. Better than nothing I guess.

Don't know where my order is. I have no shipping details. Order almost a month ago haven't received anything. Tried to contact customer service to get a status update on my order. Said they would get back in 2-3 days. No response.

I gave them 2 stars since my money was returned. I think it's good to note that if you are willing to wait a very long time-- I am sure you will get it. I waited a month; after it says 8-10 business days to fulfill your order. I think they should revise their website to indicate they are running months behind before they send you the first box. I don't like to be charged for another box prior to at least making sure the prior one was shipped. There are other boxes out there to get great snacks shipped that are a bit more transparent. I guess with as many subscribers that they have-- they can afford to lose those that aren't willing to wait.

So many different snacks! My family and I all had different favourites which made it so much more shareable!

Ordering is quick and easy. I don't feel like the company is being dishonest with me. It is very easy to pause or cancel the subscription. The product is great and items are always fresh.

It was meant to be a gift subscription for my son. But I went through the process of buying this subscription, and the site never asked me for my son’s name, or whether I wanted to write some kind of holiday note.
Also: I wanted to make sure it would arrive before Christmas, but the order process never indicated the first month's arrival day.

So fun and had no idea you existed! I have two Anime fans in my family, and so this will be an awesome gift for one of them to get a taste of Japan right at home! TY

I just placed an order with Japan Crate. I am SO excited! We see the crates at our local World Market. But we did not know what the boxes contained. By sighing up for your site, we can now see what we are getting! Cant wait to get our order!

Boxes have been about 3 weeks delayed for the last 4 months. They are currently over a month behind. Great stuff.... when it arrives. Also customer service will give you a 100 dollar gift card for their website of which you can make another purchase that wont arrive.

I originally subscribed for the exclusive Persona 5 box they had. That went well, so I decided to continue my subscription.
I purchased two crates for my boyfriend and I back in November 2022. Was sent a tracking number. That never arrived, so I reached out to customer support. They apologized and was told they’d ship out December’s box. Received a tracking number for that as well. Only one of two boxes were delivered.. when I paid for two.
Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. The price you’re paying for these boxes are unbelievably high for what you’re getting.

I have been a subscriber with JC in the past. This time I subscribed in August and received my first Crate, which was good. Then I received no more crates. I contacted them each month and received a proforma reply full of platitudes. Despite being directly asked, they will not tell me when or if I will receive another crate in my subscription. They have lost my trust.

Japan Crate customer service has never let me down. Any time, even though it's rare, that I have an issue, they resolve my issue promptly, professionally, and kindly. My 16-year-old daughter loves the variety of snacks and learning more about Japan. I enjoy the coupons and other box choices as well.
