I ordered some doweling during a sale period and paid for the products. I then received an email stating they had cancelled my order due to a 'pricing error' their end, despite no mention in their terms and conditions that this is allowed. I contacted CAB and trading standards and this shambles of a business should have honoured the price I paid. Now I have radio silence from them. Their communication and customer service has been appalling. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Was looking for 5"x2" rough sawn timber. JAS Timber came up in a web search and stated they had the timber in stock. After driving 35 miles to JAS Timber in Blackburn I was told that they had none in stock and haven't been able to get any for quite a while. A complete waste of time. Why don't these companies update their web pages!!

From start to finish JAS timber have been brilliant. Great communication. Our door frame arrived when stated. It is all there and I am so excited as I have waited some years for it. Found JAS online last month, asked for a quote, recd quote and drawing, placed the order and paid. All the while, communicating with James. Arrived exactly as per my request. Will definitely use again and whole heartedly recommend. Thank you, to everyone at JAS.

My experience with Jas Timber has been excellent.
Sorry to hear James had such a bad experience. Mine could not have been further from his. Ordered 30 pieces of trim at a 3rd of the cost of wickes, to be delivered. Delivery was to take place via a 3rd party courier. Easy online processing, order confirmed and email issued. Following day received an email from courier to say they have received the notification. Next day I received a text to detail date of delivery. Day prior to delivery I received a text with a tracking url saying order would be delivered within a 1 hour time slot. Order delivered on time by a very friendly and professional courier. Unbelievable packaging. Really sturdy and protective. I couldn’t fault them. Thank you Jas Timber. (And sorry to hear of James’ experience).

If you're reading this and going to place an order over the phone/online don't bother. I used Jas Timber earlier in the year and was impressed with the service and products but my recent experience is probably the worst experience I've had with any business.

Placed order on the 13th July via email asking for a quote, no response so I phoned and phoned and phoned getting every excuse you can imagine as to why they (James) couldn't send me a quote. I was finally told on the 28th July that my order would be completed the following week by James. I phone up today (5th August) for an update only to be told that it's been booked in for the 31st August!!! Even though I've been waiting since the 13th July and it's just 2 door casings and a piece of timber. No phone call, no email, nothing.

I now have to try and get my money back so I can order the items elsewhere.
