James has made the sale very easy and kept me up to date with every step of the sale.

Would strongly recommend to anyone.

I spoke to several cash home buyer companies and I felt James at J Bear was the best. Not just the best cash offer but the most personal, professional and efficient in communication, knowledge and advice. A change of circumstances meant I did not sell my house through cash home buyer companies but J Bear would have been my first choice if I went ahead.

Having been dissappointed with an estate agent selling our mothers property we decided to respond to a letter from J. Bear Properties. James was so helpful and gave helpful advice. He never bad-mouthed the estate agents, just advised how to move forward. A fair price was offered by him for our mum's property but we could not do anything until the tie in period with the estate agents had expired. Unfortunately, by the time that happened the property that mum wanted to purchase was sold. With no other property suitable we had to cancel. All throughout James was helpful, patient, not pushy and demonstrated genuine concern. I am comfortable recommending him to anyone who needs a quick sale at a fair price.

After our property had been on the market for a few months we agreed a sale with James Bear Properties. During the transaction we encountered problems on our end which meant quite a delay in the sale. During this time we dealt personally with James Bear, he was so very helpful and supportive during what could have been a very stressful time for us.

I had been trying to sell an inherited property, that was in need of repair and modernisation, through an estate agent for nearly a year which I found very stressful. I contacted J Bear Properties and they handled everything including paying all fees. They were in regular contact and kept me updated with what was happening. I was very happy with their service

James was very friendly, professional and upfront with his proposal. Although we did not proceed with his offer there was no “hard sell” and I would have no hesitation in recommending his company.

My brother and I inherited our dad's house and we want to sell. We had a direct mail from J Bear offering a cash purchase with a quick completion.
Dad's house hasn't been decorated for years, he was much more interested in spending his time mountain biking than plastering and painting, and there are a few cracks in the walls. Dad had had them looked at and we were confident the cracks were related to historic settlement. We had a full survey done before we put it on the market, in order to be certain, and to be able to provide the report to potential buyers, and our surveyor confirmed all the cracks were related to historic settlement and no structural work was required. We sent this report to J Bear, but understandably they wanted their own surveyor to survery.
Their surveyor told us that the house was structurally unsound, not habitable and not mortgageable. J Bear told us that they weren't sure they'd be able to make an offer, but if they did it would be much lower to take account of the structural work required.
We were astonished by the report, so paid for a full report done by a structural engineer. The structural engineer confirmed what our surveyor had told us - all of the cracking is related to historial settlement and some thermal movement, it's not progressive, the house is habitable and the house is mortgageable.
I sent the report to J Bear a week ago. I'm not sure if they were trying to frighten us into accepting a very low offer, or if their surveyor is incompetent or maybe just over-cautious, but I've had no contact from them since then, so I'm drawing my own conclusions.

I was really impressed with the professionalism of J Bear Properties, although we didn't manage to sell the property due to circumstances beyond my control. James from JBP was in constant contact, giving good advice and being very patient. I would be happy to recommend their services and if needed would use them again in the future.

Excellent personal services with no drama or hassle. James and the team were excellent and unlike other similar companies James and the team were not pushy and understood our circumstances. I would certainly recommend them.
