Order for a jerry can was placed on a Saturday, expecting DPD delivery on Tuesday (as 'next working day delivery per their T&Cs, and delivery by DPD for items <30 kg). I had left in a message with my order to delivery to nearest DPD collection point if I was not at home, which is about 100 m down my street at a local CO-OP shop conveniently. However, the deliver was not until Thursday, done by Royal Mail, alternative delivery location not honoured, but instead the box was left on my patio at the back of our house (per Royal Mail's "proof of delivery" - not!), which can be accessed by anyone walking past. When I saw that delivery notification, I had to cancel my afternoon appointments, rush home to get the parcel before someone else did. Thankfully succussful, but was very stressful and messed up my plans for that afternoon.
Why JCB decided to not use DPD, not honoured my alternatively delivery address, and not even responded to my message placed with my order, and then used Royal Mail instead who left the item unsafe, that is why I am rating only 3 stars (taking item itself in consideration). Had it been stolen, it would have been 1 star only. And that would be simply due to no communication by JCB to my message, and not delivering upon their promise per their website.
Thankfully, the jerry can itself I am very pleased with. Very solidly built and a great seal. Same goes for the accompanying nozzle).
However, I will be very hesitant to order from JCB again, simply due to their poor and unreliable delivery service.
Great company very helpful telephone advisor made me complete purchase and assured me great after sales help
Purchased a mitre saw on the 13th of march and it stated dispatched after the 15th of march. I leave it a week and still nothing, so I contact them and then I’m told it’ll now be displayed early April and then two days later it’ll now be the end of April. At this point I decided to just cancel as it was clear this company is incompetent to fulfil an order, my only advise…. Shop anywhere except JCB! Could only imagine what would happen if you needed any actual customer service under warranty.
Having parts at a reasonable price
Plus having it in stock is good.
Just took 2 days longer for the delivery which was down to the courier.
Not happy regarding there’s no oil in the engine
Had to change the delivery date which wasn't an issue. Delivered on time and the product looks good although not used them much as yet.
Excellent product reasonably easy to assemble.
Ordered a tool box, it was sent incorrectly, customer service quickly rectified the issue.
Would recommend
Ive now had 4 sets from JCB under warranty.
60 emails sent asking for parts.
Got send used damaged parts as replacements.
Set 1 fault socket delamination- had to collect and send a new set
Set 2, 1/4 extension ball fell out so doesn’t hold sockets. Had to send a new set and collect
Set 3, first use and 1/2 extension ball stuck in and doesn’t hold sockets.
Sent out replacement but was short extension not the long 1/2.
I then asked them to send a new part and they tried saying they’ll issue a 100% refund and replace the set however I had warranty still so told them they need to fulfil it and send out a replacement.
THEY SENT A USED DAMAGED PART TO REPLACE IT. They could not at all justify why.
Now saying they need to collect and send another set.
Over 60 emails sent, hours of my life trying to get them to send parts.
Do not even think of buying from them.
Absolutely disgusting to send used and damaged parts as replacements.
I was happy with the ordering and delivery. I was a bit disappointed only to have one battery. It means having to stop and wait for it to charge. Also my last JCB drill had a plastic case which gave good protection.
My last JCB drill is still in good working order but the charger has failed. What a waste.

Good information on customer service
Tines bent on two forks from previous places. The JCB fork looks as if it is strong and will do the job. The lifetime warranty is good news.
