I was looking to buy some kind of Portakabin-style structure to be used as a waiting room for customers who had to wait outside our shop on account of the Coronovirus restrictions. I was surfing the internet one night, and came across the JCPSA website. They looked to have exactly what we needed.
We made an appointment to visit. Wasn’t sure quite what to make of their place at first. Had the look of one of those yards they always used for the shoot-outs on The Sweeney. But a chap there knew we were expected, and showed us around. He was very helpful and friendly. And he knew the product. We looked at some very fancy units, but after talking about our requirements, he showed us an unfinished one that looked to have potential. We discussed some of our wishes, and he said we could have it, totally as we wanted it. In a week! That was impressive, although our need wasn’t that urgent.
We came back a week later to see the boss, Paul, to button down the details, and agree the financials. All done very professionally. Nothing seemed to present a problem, and he was able to answer all our questions in a way that spoke of great experience and competence. The price was more than reasonable. Paul is from Poland, I believe, and I left thinking that it would all have been a lot more theatrical, drawn out and equivocal if I had been dealing with your average British supplier.
Six weeks later, on the prescribed date, the unit turned up. It looked great. Just one problem; no air conditioning, which I was sure I had agreed as part of the spec.. I wrote to Paul, but got back a perfectly polite note saying that aircon had been discussed, but not agreed. Had only I been in the meeting with Paul, I would have given him the benefit of the doubt, but my wife was present at that meeting and, as she always reminds me, she is never wrong! She too felt the aircon had been agreed.
I have not done business with many Easter European companies. I admit to my prejudice, and suspected that I was being taken for a ride. I wrote to Paul. I was not accusatory, but deep down I felt that we would reach an impasse. Accepting that this was probably nothing more than a miscommunication, I offered to make a contribution to the cost; a contribution that I felt might equate to 50% of the total cost.
The response I received was humbling, humiliating even. Paul wrote back to say that he had never had an unhappy customer, and stated that he would fit the aircon at his cost at a time that was convenient to us. It was not the response I expected. Rarely do I find that my expectations are exceeded, but that is what Paul did. There was no disingenuity in his offer and wish to put things right. He clearly just wanted to keep a client happy.
Paul made it very difficult for me to pay the contribution I offered, but my accounts department made it hard to refuse it. A week or so later, on a cold and damp Sunday morning, Paul turned up. Owner or not, he fitted the unit on his own. It was installed neatly and professionally in a couple of hours.
From the first time we met, I was deeply impressed by Paul; his energy, his drive, his ambition, and his straightforward manner. I am embarrassed that I did not take him at face value and that, for an instant, I doubted his integrity. I was wrong. Paul runs a great business. He is perhaps a diamond in the rough, but I suspect that he cares not too much for our Anglo-Saxon sensibilities. I thought I was the hardest working man in Christendom but, given that on the day I met him at his yard he had been in his office since 4.00am, I suspect that this mantle more correctly belongs to him. He rightly deserves any success he has. His units are great, but I take the view that there are lots of companies that can do the same kind of thing. What, for me, makes JCPSA stand out is Paul and his attitude. I would trust any business with someone like Paul at the helm. His prices are more than fair; you can be sure that any work he does will be done well, on time, and in my experience, to the customer’s total satisfaction. And there simply aren’t many companies you can say that about these days.
Lovely new office ordered and delivered, high standard of finish and nothing to much trouble from order to delivery.
Great service, Thank you.
This is our 3rd dealing with JCPSA, all satisfactory, our latest office was designed by ourselves then 'fitted and kitted out' by Paul and his team all to a very good standard and delivered on the promised date.very pleased.
All the staff at JCPSA were very helpful and knowledgeable when our cricket club were selecting temporary changing rooms. Despite difficult access to our ground their haulier Danny (and his wife) did an excellent job delivering and installing our chosen cabin. Many thanks to all. Ian
Paul and the team were very helpful from start to finish, the build and quality of the office unit is very solid, it was perfectly adapted to our specification and installed on site without a hitch. It was left clean and ready for us to move straight in. Well recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. Easy to order, lots and LOTS of support and communications.
Also the delivery driver was fantastic managing to thread the cabin through a maze of telephone cables.
