About eight months ago

About eight months ago, on January 11th I bought a 08 Chevy cobalt off of you guys in attempt to settle a prior owner of that cars delinquent account. I offered you a substantial amount for that car in which your regional manager, accepted. I have receipt of the acceptance letter which stated this exact fact. Shortly thereafter, I sent you the agreed upon payment in full. About three days later I was given a payment confirmation and receipt of payment thru email correspondence. At that point, I was notified that I would be granted title of said vehicle between three and six months from payment. The payment was received 1/17/2019. I have made multiple attempts in the past 4-5 months to try to reach you guys to retrieve the status of the title. However, my attempts proved futile as you guys repeatedly failed to follow thru on promises of different departments to contact me to resolve my issue. This review is my last ditch effort for you guys to finally resolve this issue and avoid me going to my local state representative or legal representative to sue for breach of contract. If you would like to reach me my name is Robert Blotzer and my number is+14125221861. I hope to finally get some feedback in this matter and hope to receive my title for car that i paid for 8 months ago .

I got less than 5 payments to go and I get a call that they dont process check payments no more. First of all I'm not giving any info by phone second this is very inconvenient for me their customer service is second to last a few month back I bring my car to be serviced my ac isn't working and oil needed changing and I asked for them to check and service a few other things all they did was change the oil and said it's not hot you dont really need your ac and its cold outside and everything else is fine yet come back when it gets hot that left a bad taste in my mouth because I have to get my car fixed on their schedule so inconvenient and because I have a few payments left their sending me emails to buy another car from them after this experience I won't even buy life saving medicine from them their bad business people who screw their customers I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

If it was possible to assign zero stars…

If it was possible to assign zero stars that’s what I would do. They are absolutely the worst. Their behavior is borderline harassing. They call constantly to “remind me” that I have a payment due. When I initially signed my contract I requested that I pay monthly and I was told that it would not be a problem. That was a lie. I must pay biweekly on my payday. Last week my family and I went out of town on vacation during the time my payment was due. I didn’t think anything of it. As it would only be a few day 3 exactly. When I returned home and checked my email I had received a notice of repossession. I made the payment and now I’m refinancing with another company.

FALSE ADVERTISING

Today, Freddie Johnson called me because I sent in an inquiry to set up an appointment at your COLUMBUS, OH Morse Road Location

I sent him the following disclosure:

"Just relocated from Seattle to Columbus Ohio
I've been here 30 days
I have 2 repos
2016 & in 2018
(2018 I was on a medical leave and didn't have income)
My credit score is around 545
I have about $500 down
I don't care what kind of car it is as long as it's automatic transmission and won't breakdown in the next 12 months"

Freddie's response was "i hear all of that, but we can help you and I will send you a coupon and because we are in-house financing they will see all your efforts to improve your credit and if you have that offer letter for your job they will appreciate that too. Its okay you just moved here. You only have $500 cash down, thats okay, we could approve you for less than that down, we just want to get you in so you can get on the road. {I told him - I will have to Uber there, I do not want my time wasted)- he said it won't be, you are in good hands."

I emailed all verifying documentation via email IN ADVANCE, I was very efficient and organized. Austin, the salesman who assisted me upon my arrival even commented how refreshing I was because I had everything ready and organized.

They send everything to financing...
THEN
I get DENIED

Your financing company wants to see 90 days on my job + $2K down because of my repossessions!

What PISSES ME OFF

I told them UPFRONT
What EXACTLY was on my credit
How much cash I had down
That I JUST MOVED 4 weeks ago to the state and had not started my job yet

I VERBALIZED and WROTE ALL of this WITH supporting documentation!

JD BYRIDER Wasted my time AND cost me $48 round trip in UBER!

An ethical company would have said, "Thank you for your disclosures, based on our experience, with the challenges you have in your background, our finance team likes to see at least 90 days on the job with $2k down."

Or something like that - but NOPE, Mr. Freddie says, "it will be fine we approve people with way worse."

The Location Manager, Shawon emailed me asking for a current pay stub - I told him - I do NOT have any pay stubs yet, I start work 3/28/19 and the current remedial job I have I do not get my first paycheck until next week.
His response was, "ok, gotcha."
THAT was the point in which he should have said WE NEED 90 DAYS OF PAY STUBS HERE IN COLUMBUS, OH.
I even sent him 6 months worth of pay stubs that I had from my previous job in WA state!

Even WHEN I do get my 90 days on the job and save up $2K I would NEVER purchase from your company - purely based on the slick talker Freddie, false advertising, time wasted and money I spent on Uber.

You need to deal with your ethics and stop being predators.

At first when we arrived at the SW…

At first when we arrived at the SW Military location in SA TX. We were greeted great and then when we wanted a car THEY CHOSE the car for us so we went with it's nice runs good, then the finance guy Named Nick Mora was horribly rude. He didn't allow my wife in the room when signing the docs and then they told me to send the proof of insurance to avoid a 45 dollar charge to the dealer and come to find out we still got charged the $45. Demanding our money back Nick refused and he won't answer the calls. Trust me although good at selling you a car after the hook comes the deception from JD byrider and CNAC particularly Nick Mora. We will not do this again Ever.

RUN don't WALK!!!

If I could give negative stars I would! I am a single mother who is rebuilding credit and went to JD Byrider in search of reliable transportation and a way to inprove my credit score after my divorce. This company bamboozled me. The same day I purchased the vehicle and signed my paperwork the engine light came on and hadn't gone off in the entire 18 months and after the 12 times I put the vehicle in the shop to rectify the issue. After signing my paperwork for the car the saleswoman at the Austin, TX location (which was closed down a month after I acquired the vehicle) took the car to put gas in it and the engine light came on. She told me and the Sales Manager about the engine light and he instructed me to go to a third party to fix it. Needless to say 4 months and 3 temp tags later I was still not able to register my car because the engine light is an automatic inspection FAIL! So I contacted JD Byrider and spoke to a man named "Ram" who advised me that the issue would get fixed although I had already taken the car to the third party mechanic and Pep Boys 5 times already to fix the engine issue (o2 senor repair, gas cap replacement etc.) and nothing worked. Ram arranged for someone to pick up my car to get it inspected and promised me (which he now lies about claiming he never said) that he would replace the car if the engine light came back on. They kept my car for 3 weeks and got it inspected and dropped the car back off to me with the engine light STILL on. I called Ram and he dodged my calls and instructed someone else to basically tell me I was out of luck and that used cars aren't perfect. This company knowingly sold me a car with severe engine issues which left me as a single mother without a vehicle for a total of almost 3 months out of the year and a half I had the vehicle. The cherry on the pie of all this is that the timing belt went out on me in December and I had to once again rent a car and be liable for my car note. After two weeks of paying $300/week for a rental car on top of my car note I was told that the mechanic Sergio did not want to replace the timing belt on an engine with over 150,000 miles on it. So I was told I would have to pay for the engine. $500 down and the other $600 later. I was without a car and drowning financially because of the rental car on top of my other bills. I paid the $500 and deferred the rest of the payment and picked up my car. One week later the engine light is back on, the engine sounds loose and everytime I turn the engine sounds like it is sliding and the temperature light comes on. The day after I borrowed the money to put a down payment on another car with a better company and left the POS car JD Byrider sold me at the dealership and instructed them to pick it up...which they still haven't the car has been there for 5 days they also have the nerve to tell me everytime I call to inquire about them towing the car how this car will negatively effect my credit for the next 7 to 10 years. This company is by far the worst company you could EVER get a car from! Don't walk RUN away! Buy a car ANYWHERE ELSE I beg you! Save yourself the heartache and financial woe. I plan on filing a lawsuit against JD Byrider and if I had the spare time would stand outside for hours each day to boycott their company. CNAC is the finance company that partners with JD Byrider to get you financed and they even know JD Byrider is a joke and honestly hate the fact that they are partnered with such a disgusting company.

The worse

I don't own a car wit JD Brmyrider but have had numerous encounter with the location is St. Cloud, Minnesota, specifically with Brian Ogle, he is rude and extremely disrepectful. If this is who you have running your company, know that you business will suffer with this man as your manager. His customer service is awful, he does not listen and his overall demeanor is condescending. If you want a good experience with buying a car do not expect it from this man.

We bought a car from JD Ryder in West…

We bought a car from JD Ryder in West Dundee in December 2018. The sales process was very unprofessional and agonizing. The sales person sat at their desk with their shoes off the entire time we were there and texted on their phone during the process. We sat there for hours and even had to come back another day because the financing department kept printing out the paperwork for a different care that we were not even buying. The sales person also continues to text my cell phone very unprofessionally buy just saying "Hey!" They keep trying to sell me another car and dont even realize we already just bought one. The finance department is so screwed up and rude its ridiculous. When the plates came in they gave me plates to another car. Not the one we purchased. Also, our payment schedule is for every two weeks and they have taken the car payment out of my bank account every week thus far for the month of February and not even the right amounts (higher actually.) which has caused my bank account to have issues because we plan for the payments on the date of our schedule that they provided. When you call in they are rude. When you go in person they are rude. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointed! Stay away!

I came to jd byryder in desperate need…

I came to jd byryder in desperate need of a reliable vehicle with heat and a.c. as I was working with special needs clients. Which i lost because i couldnt transport my client... I spent all day at the dealership.... I told them my needs for a vehicle I have 2 children in the home but mind u I have 6 step kids I need a third row vehicle to fit my whole family I then was showed MULTIPULE sedans they were decent cars but not what I needed I needed a van so because I have bad credit 😒😲 no kidding... I was forced into a junker van they had that shouldn't have been on the lot it ran fine on the test drive no problems detected so I sign the papers move all my stuff into the van move all my kids seats and get going on my way 15 mins down the road it starts raining turn on wipers and guess what it falls apart nice great so have to buy a wiper... next day I am sitting at the bus stop with my kids go to turn on the heat car overheats but won't kick out any hot air... I call service department set up a time to come in so I go in they can't figure it out changed something sent me on my way... car drives fine almost all the way home get about 25 mins from home van completly overheated amd turns off going 55 so now im sitting in bfe with my 3 mth old baby and oldest kid on the side of the road i call the office and they tell me i have to find a ride for my kids cause they cant ride in the tow truck.... ummmm no whos gonna watch the kids? Take the van back up there in the morning I get a loaner car they have my van for 2 weeks! It's the headgaskets... after telling them it was that or the heater core (mechanics daughter) alright any ways .... they "get it fixed" and I drive the van a week no problems besides now vans eating coolant go figure I call they set a appt for 4 weeks out so I just keep putting in coolant In... I take it back in they have it for about a week it's the damn clamps for the radiator hoses "and a bunch of other things" aren't properly sealed meanwhile I'm thinking to myself u are kidding me right must of gotten certified by cracker jack box ... long story short do your research on the companies reviews I really wish I did shoulda backed out on my first trip to the service department and there were alot of upset customers... go to Sundance go anywhere but here ive lost out on 2,000+ bucks I could had a decent vehicle n half the stress then i have had this whole experience And still have a car I'm not paying for a car that don't run not for 17,000 bucks run away n don't look back

Ms. Areia was amazing!!

I’ve been loooking for a nice dependable vehicle for about a month now and I must say in all of my searching I’ve not run across someone like Ms. Elliot! Aside from her outstanding customer service, and extremely relatable and empathetic personality, she was very knowledgeable and gave me amazing pointers that I never thought to look at/for when looking for a vehicle!! I left out of there feeling not only amazing, but empowered! Her genuiness really made my day! If you’re in Greenville, SC and looking for a car, I STRONGLY recommend you see her!! 2400 Laurens Rd. You won’t be disappointed!!
