JD Gyms - Middleton Reviews 

Very welcoming on first day at the gym. I was met by a member of staff @chloe who helped me settle in, eased my nerves and supported me through my first fitness class

I have been 3 times so far at different times and there has always been equipment available and friendly staff

Big open space, lots of equipment and open for long hours everyday so can come and workout at a convenient time. Clean changing rooms and lockers available too. I’m a gym newbie and I’m really enjoying my experience so far, always excited to come back the next day😊

Joined this gym as it was the closest and most convenient one to travel to in my area, it is nice place and all of the areas in the gym are very clean and tidy, the equipment is good and there are alot of the machines so most of the time you dont even have to wait to use what you want to use. Overall i enjoy going to this gym and the price and facilities are great.

Really nice setup. However was told that they were short of staff so no one available to show me round. First time doing spin class lady running it took time to make sure I was on the right setup. Very impressed.

Direct debit was set up and payment went through but then the accounts department defaulted my membership for some reason and I wasn’t able to access the gym I had paid for, it has since been resolved but very disappointed.

JD is a very good academy. It is well equipped and the facilities are excellent.

Luxury gym at an affordable price. I spend more time in the gym because I love the way I can get on any equipment I need. It's so big and has a nice style to it. My favourite gym so far- easily better than David Lloyds!

Great Gym just gets overcrowded and selected machines are often rotated by large groups of people meaning you may wait 30 mins to use one, but that happens everywhere you go

All of the cross trainers were turned off and half the treadmills weren’t working. Not what I was wanting in a new gym!

I think that JD gyms is because I feel comfortable when I’m exercising

My first time ever at a gym, nice big gym, clean and fresh friendly staff, very approachable..

My personal trainer was excellent. Always having a happy vibe, very helpful. he is very caring never would pushes to hard to breaking point.

In my opinion, everything is absolutely fine with the gym, very friendly staff etc. I feel it just closes too soon. This is due to being connected to the main shopping centre.
An exterior exit and later closing time may be beneficial for a lot of people.

No concessionary rates for over 60s. No concessionary rates for off peak. JD took over this gym during COVID. Before this I was a member and paid half the price it is now. I have noticed that the gym has now gone from being really busy at 10.00am to very quiet as you have lost so many of the older off peak customers. They may have paid less but surely a 'cheaper' customer is better than no customer? is this discrimination and a way to keep the gym young and keep the 'oldies' away? In the long run, financially it is your loss.

I am really impressed by the amount of equipment and classes on offer here. It is absolutely spotlessly clean. I felt awkward coming back to a gym after many years and being middle aged but I have only been met with encouragement and helpfulness by the staff. Well done JD gym Midd
