I Odense centrum ligger Danmarks Jernbanemuseum. Her kan I opleve den danske jernbanehistorie i den autentiske remisebygning fra 1954. På 21 spor viser vi en perlerække af ikoniske lokomotiver og vogne. Kig ind i de royale vogne, oplev rejselivet på 3. klasse og se sneploven, 70’er kupéen og den orange traktor fra ”Olsen-banden på sporet”. Se også udstillinger om H.C. Andersens togrejser og jernbanesikkerhed. På udearealet finder I en stor drejeskive, vandkran og kulgård. I er velkomne til at gå ind i mange vogne og lokomotiver. I kan stå i førerhuset på damplokomotivet fra 1954, sidde på træsæderne i den to-etagers Klampenborg-vogn og opleve postsorteringsvognen. Der er en stor udendørs legeplads til børnene. De vil også elske en tur med minitoget eller Børnebanegården i børnestørrelse.

Hyggeligt museum!

We love this museum in Odense. Great for both kids and adults. It is informal enough that it feels "homey" but also very thoughtfully made. The exhibitions change from time to time, so we found an årskort very worthwhile.
