Negative experience

During boarding, I was instructed to consolidate my bags, which I understand is part of airline policy. I was willing to comply and did so without argument. However, the way this was handled felt unnecessarily condescending and uncomfortable.
I was told I could not board until I placed a very small bag into another bag. I had to step out of line and re-enter, and when I did so, I was pointed out for rejoining the line, which left me feeling like my only options were to either hold up the line or rush and risk damaging my belongings.
Later, after boarding, another crew member instructed me that my backpack had to be placed in the overhead bin. I acknowledged the instructions and said, “I’ve got it,” but the crew member remained hovering and continued directing me step-by-step in a way that felt patronizing, as if I didn’t understand simple instructions.
I fully understand the need to enforce policies, but the tone and approach made me feel embarrassed and treated like a child in front of other passengers. A more respectful and professional manner would make a significant difference in the passenger experience.
This experience has made me reluctant to fly JetBlue again.

Feedback con

I recently flew four separate flights with JetBlue, and while the overall experience was… acceptable, there were enough frustrations that it’s hard not to feel irritated.
Out of my four flights, I was assigned a middle seat on three of them. Three. Out of four. At some point that stops feeling like bad luck and starts feeling like the system simply doesn’t care about the passenger experience. Spending that much time wedged between strangers is not exactly the way to build customer loyalty.
Punctuality also left something to be desired. Two of the flights failed to push back on time, which added unnecessary delays to trips that were already long enough.
But the most baffling part? After all that, JetBlue sent me an email asking for feedback—but only for the one flight where everything actually went well. That was the one flight where I didn’t have a middle seat, the plane was half empty, and it left on time.
Call me cynical, but it certainly feels like JetBlue is very interested in collecting feedback when things go smoothly, and much less interested when they don’t.
If you’re going to ask customers about their experience, ask about all of it—not just the convenient parts.

This is the worst travel company ever

This is the worst travel company ever. I would never recommend anyone buy a ticket to travel with this company. I bought a ticket for two people, but they couldn't arrive at the airport on time. I called JetBlue to change the flight to a later time, but they refused. They said I could cancel the ticket, which was the only option I had. I was forced to cancel, and they charged me a cancellation fee of over $200. The worst part is, they won't refund the money I paid. They told me I could only use it as credit to buy another ticket with the same company. The money is lost because I will never travel with such a terrible company, nor will my family.

Having to repay for seats every time they make changes.

Last year I booked an evening flight for May this year, included even more seats/bag payment.

In December they decided to cancel that flight and move me to an earlier flight, and while inconvenient, was still manageable for me.
At this time everything was transferred to the new flight, the same seat selection etc.

In April they changed the flight number (same departure etc) and in turn a week later I noticed I was no longer in my selected seat, the booking showed it paid for, so when selecting it again it said I needed to make payment.

I contacted their call centre and was advised they will need to refund the $61 I paid for the seat and recharge me $69 (the current price), so already I am paying more for the seat, the payment showed in my bank account the moment he processed it and my booking was showing me in my selected seat.

2 days later, I am no longer in that seat anymore (or any) and again the booking shows I paid for the seat but again to select it I am promoted to pay for it again.

Again I contact them and again and told I will need to pay for the seat again and they will issue a refund.

I asked if they could manually override it and just put me in it, they stated they are also promoted for payment and it's the only way, I asked if there was a supervisor or escalation team that could do it, I was told no (either they are lying or have the worst system in the airline industry).

So again I payed for the seat, and was told they will refund it.

This is 5 transactions that have cost me with exchange fees and international transaction fees (I am from Australia).. I asked if JetBlue would offer me any compensation for this, as it is clearly based on them making changes and a faulty system .. I was advised they can only tell me they understand and are sorry.

Hopefully this is the end of this drama for this particular flight, however based on this experience, I will no longer recommend or fly with JetBlue in the future.

Fyi: their call centre staff were nice and professional +I suggest limited with what they can do), and I have had little issue with flying with them before
However the inconvenient time change and added costs just for 1 seat has made me come to the conclusion that this is not an airline I can trust going forward.

Update: an hour later I get the same email as last time saying I paid for a seat but payment did not complete successfully (even though my bank shows otherwise) and to contact them.. so this will be the same nonsense over and over, I have never had an issue using the exact card with JetBlue before so it is clearly an issue their end that continues to cost me fees and charges every time to correct it.
This is after the service person stated it shows competed their end after I made the payment, and sent me a confirmation email showing such .. but also the JetBlue seat selection/payment merry go round continues.

Forced to check in a backpack

Flight from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale (1700). I was required to check my backpack, which was intended as a carry-on and contained valuables. The only alternative offered was to move me to another flight, which was not acceptable. When I boarded, there was plenty of overhead space available, which made the situation even more frustrating. Backpacks are not designed to be checked in, especially when they contain personal and valuable items, but this concern was disregarded. Very disappointed with how this was handled and will reconsider flying with this airline in the future.

Worst experience

Worst experience. I simply asked to move my seat on an empty flight as the individual next to me smelled. I was dismissed from moving 1x row in front of me. I sat 4HRS in a stench. Never again.

I paid for extra leg room and didn’t…

I paid for extra leg room and didn’t get it and wanted a refund. The chat experience was awe full. I waited just under 5 hours and then they kept me waiting when answered a further 45 mins so I gave up. Also the phone, you have to leave a number. When they call back it just goes to answer phone and they leave a message. Did this 6 times and still did not get to speak to an agent. It’s risky if you book with them and something doesn’t go to plan. You can’t get support.

I used to use them every month as moved…

I used to use them every month as moved to Florida almost 5 yrs ago and go to visit my Grandbabies monthly even if just the weekend in Massachusetts. Last TWO times flights canceled due to weather. Completely understand but both times on que was called between 2-3am just to have both trips incorrectly changed! 1st time the agent booked BOTH tickets departing RSW and arriving at BOS. I assumed she was competent even though was extremely rude on phone and when I arrived at BOS a week later to return to Florida was stranded until they found a replacement flight. She also didn't put a single note so was very confusing for poor agent at airport who was tryingto get me home. I also had to pay 3 times for my luggage and seats as supposedly auto refunded. My original canceled flight was 1/27/26 and have yet to receive any refunds. Now day before yesterday my daughters flight was canceled due to weather and she was rescheduled for 9:43pm last night which just kept getting delayed. Was finally given option to reschedule so we did for 6am this morning. Once at airport they stated her original flight left on time (have screen shots of every delay message we had received as she had family picking her up to keep them updated). Once they realized we had that proof stated she never rebooked which again we have screen shots of AND she paid for her seat AND luggage yet again for the 6am flight! At that point stated they had no flights they could get her on today and she was going for important doctors appointment she obviously would not be able to nake at this point and we canceled everything, they then had the audacity to ask if we wanted to keep return flight. Obviously NOT as she cannot get to BOS so WHY would we need a return flight with them. Doubt we will get the over thousand we spent on flights/seats and luggage. Their response. Sorry for inconvenience again and should receive refund in 7-10 business days. WILL NEVER use them again as rather pay any airline other than JetBlue. The Customer Service representatives are ALWAYS rude when you FINALLY receive a return call 8-10hrs later. They could care less about their customers. PLEASE if looking for reliable airline with competent employees do NOT choose Jet Blue. Just wish I had used all the points I accumulated from how often I had been flying back and forth. They have no control over the weather BUT absolutely do have control on booking the flights they tell you you will now be on and how awful they speak to customers. If I could put ZERO stars I would! Also don't even waste your time calling to complain about service or lack of refunds. They tell you someone from "escalation department" will call you and you will NEVER hear back

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. First we boarded late. Waited on the plane for an hour for them to then have us re board the plane taking all our gear off with us. And then waited another hour and a half to then take off. Flight was alright but then the airport was supposedly packed so we did full on circles waiting, like some donuts you do in the jet skis. We did that for 40 minutes. To then land originally at 8pm and now landing at 12am. And to now wait ANOTHER HOUR for a gate to open

They charge you to call now

I called and received a call back about 6 hours later but not only did they refuse to help me change, they informed me that I would be charged a $25 just for using their services.

Terrible communications

Terrible communications. Flight canceled two hours ago and the app and text notifications still show flight status delayed 3 hours. Neither the departing or arriving airport are listed as cities with delays/cancellations. Was told plane was in the air when ultimately it wasn't. Three hours in line to rebook, and no one answers their customersupport lines. Very unpleasant experience. Jetblue used to be better than other airlines imo but they have failed miserably lately. After waiting in line to rebook for two hours, they now are dismissing everyone. Telling everyone dial 800 number which no one answers. I understand things go wrong at times but the miscommunication and lack of response is poor.

Unethical and useless company

If I could leave zero stars or negative stars then I absolutely would. They lost us over $1,000 because they couldn't rebook us for something within 24 hours after already having pushed us back 12 hours to begin with. Absolutely ridiculous experience and even their “escalation team” gave us the same lame duck response of things being “uncontrollable” and taking no accountability or responsibility whatsoever for the massive hole they put us in.

JetBlue isn't an airline

JetBlue isn't an airline, it's a piece of crap. The standards are below those of a city bus. They canceled the flight and scheduled another one over a day later. The airline didn't provide breakfast at the hotel, and after a long plea, they even gave me an Uber voucher. Despite having purchased tickets with reserved seats for the canceled flight, without giving a reason, just before boarding the flight, they ordered me to buy new seats, for which I had to pay twice as much as the first time, without any possibility of reversing the price difference, which is embarrassing. The next day, boarding took forever... who knows how many classes in a ridiculous single-class A321. Boarding took 40 minutes, and the plane took off again with a delay. It's a travesty, not an airline. You're far from European standards.

3 hours prior to take off in JFK

3 hours prior to take off in JFK, JetBlue's main hub, on a day where nobody else shows delays I got another 4 1/2 hour delay on my flight. The last time it was 3 and I cannot recall when I have flown with them and they are on time. This airline should not be allowed to operate. They are clearly not capable of it. Pay more for Delta, United or whomever. It is worth it. It is literally dangerous to book with these people.

This is horrible airline!

This is horrible airline!
Spending hours!! Before take off in the air plain and an hour so far after landed.
They say 15 minutes while takes hours with horrible noise.
I missed an important meeting which led to a deal lose !
I would never recommend this airline line.
If I could I would give them 0 stars !!
Will never use them again !

We had an excellent experience flying…

My wife and I had an excellent experience flying with JetBlue from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala and back. From the moment I checked in at the airport, everything was smooth and well organized. The staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the entire trip.
Both flights were on time, the seats were comfortable, and the cabin was clean and well maintained. The in-flight entertainment and the attentive service made the journey very enjoyable.
Traveling with JetBlue made the trip between Fort Lauderdale and Guatemala stress-free and pleasant. I truly appreciate the great service and would gladly choose JetBlue again for future travels. Highly recommended!
