Don't make a big MISTAKE
I really, don't want someone to make a similar mistake. I bought my wife's wedding set at the jewelry exchange in Norristown. My first big jewelry purchase ever...Really the WORST financial decision I have made. I carefully selected the diamonds and the settings. I listened to the promises the manager made me, I looked at their EGL appraisal of the diamonds, and made the purchase after haggling i received about $800 off the sticker price. I thought I did pretty good. After we got married, I wanted to make sure my $8500 (I was not a rich guy, was $9300) Investment was protected so I opted to add a rider to our insurance. They demand an appraisal, so I offered the EGL cert it comes with, but they stated they only accept real appraisals. Unknown to me, EGL certs are not real... go figure. So i got my first real appraisal and it was for $4100. I was thinking BS! I went and got two other real appraisals and they were $4000, and $3950 from reputable appraisers in the industry. They are appraisers recognized by the insurance industry. Their real appraisals are accepted by the most stringent for the accuracy of their appraisals. I did not tell either about the appraisal before them. After each completed their examination, I showed each appraiser the EGL cert of value, and they also replied, they're not real. Understand that the appraisals are what it should cost to buy a new set at full retail price! The truth is the value of their diamonds and rings at full retail replacement value, is half what they charge. That's very bad compared to most any other jewelry store , not in an alley!!! So bottom line is they're charging you twice what the industry charges for the same thing. And when I brought them back to the jewelry exchange and demanded restitution, they simply said, "ohh sorry, all sales are final. Its in the contract you signed. " but they offered me a STORE CREDIT of $2500 towards the purchase of something else, if I wanted to return them! ($6000 less than I paid) *Before you buy , do research about the BS "appraisals" (certs) these corrupt stores offer, and buy from a real jewelry store, not used car salespeople in cheap suits. Now i go to a local, family owned store that every appraisal matches or exceeds the price I paid. I hope you find a reputable jewelry store. It should be a happy and wonderful experience, even after your purchase.
Crooked
Park

This business is a complete FRAUD! They stole my bracelet! From the store to the Corporate off CEO they are crooked
and need to be prosecuted. They lie and they pass you off from salesperson to salesperson with no one being honest to
accountable. I believe I was treated poorly because I am an African American female senior.
I took my 4.95 carat bracelet to have all of the links reinforced. Wore my bracelet twice and it broke. So therefore they
took my money and didn't do the repairs. Fast forward 4/2022 I took my bracelet back to them and told them my
bracelet broke again after they supposedly repaired it. They took my bracelet back in for repairs. 4/26 I called and
checked on the status of my repairs. Two days later, I received a call from Kathy the manager telling me that my bracelet
was lost. They told me I can come and pick one up or they would make one exactly like mine but they would get back
with me in a week or so. When they got back in touch with me after about two weeks, they told me my bracelet was
ready, so I was not given an option to pick one out. Went to pick the bracelet up, it was missing the safety chain. So
bracelet had to be sent out again for the safety chain another 2-4 weeks. When I finally went to pick the bracelet up, the
frame of the bracelet was very small the diamonds looked very tiny and they included a very long thin safety chain. It
appeared to be a child's bracelet. Called corporate talked to Mark Doddridge who stated that the frame of the bracelet
was much smaller than my original one and to send it back ASAP. So you see, they knowingly tried to deceive me. Mark
stated that due to the year that I purchased my bracelet in 2005 that they no longer carried that frame and that if he had
to give me a 7-8 carat bracelet no expenses to me he would to compensate for my losses. They did have my exact frame
in the store but they were unwilling to put the 4.95 carat diamonds in the frame. After that date Mark stopped taking my
calls and I spoke with Moein, and Gino. The two stated that they were willing to make me a different design or I could go
in the store and pick out one. I was unwilling to take a different design. I went in the store and picked out one and they
intimidated and bullied me into spending 1532.00 to get my bracelet back otherwise I would not have anything. So their
intent was to steal my bracelet and force me into spending a large sum of money or taking one of far less value than my Original one.
I have been buying jewelry at The…
I have been buying jewelry at The Jewelry Exchange in Bethesda for years. The people who work there are great. Yes, they do have some diamonds that are not great, but look at the price. You can't expect a stone for 500. to look like the one for 5000. They will show you the difference and you choose what to do.
BEWARE
BEWARE . My wife and I PURCHASED AN ENGAGEMENT RING FROM THEM we picked a diamond and a setting , we examined the diamond thru a jewelers' loupe , it was flawless. they told us to come back in an hour and it would be mounted in the setting. we paid and left for home. Some months later over a friends who had a jewlers loupe we again examined the diamond. not the stone we picked and purchased. they switched the diamond with one with a crack in the bottom of the stone. DONT LET THEM SCAM YOU . CHECK THE STONE BEFORE AND AFTER IT IS MOUNTED IN THE RING . SAME FOR CLEANING OR WHATEVER. DONT LET YOU STONE OUT OF YOUR SIGHT AROUND THESE CROOKED SCUM . BETTER YET..STAY AWAY..
Buyers Beware!
Buyers Beware!! Put a ring on lawaway with Chicago store. Paid on it.. Moved to Florida and they said they would transfer ring to Tampa store. Went to Tampa store after transfer only to find out not same diamond! Ended up picking out brand new setting and diamond. After paperwork and more money down, recd receipt of new balance owed. 2 weeks later, got a strange call saying the balance they gave me was wrong. I owed MORE money. My receipt showed breakdown of return of other ring , payments and then new ring and balance. It wasnt wrong. I said i would be in to talk to manager when back in area. Store was 2 hrs away. A month later got call that they were closing Tampa store and if i wanted ring, i had to pay NEW higher balance to a store in Texas and they would "ship" ring. I said I no longer trusted that and just wanted money back. They said no and hung up. So put $2500 & no ring. How they are still on business is beyond me. But they just scam people out of money so i guess thats how. Beware!!
