Im a Jiffy Pro and I love the service

Im a Jiffy Pro and I love the service. As long as your being transparent with clients its a great way to stay busy during slower times. Great customer service team to help out when Pros have issues and the app is very easy to use. Highly recommend to professionals looking to grow their business. Plus the service fee is a write-off during tax season!

If you are considering becoming a pro…

If you are considering becoming a pro for jiffy DONT! They take 30% right off the top for any work you complete. Their support for pros is pretty much non-existant. They will try to trick you by reaching out to your personally outside of the jiffy app and try to get you to agree to doing work outside of the app just so they can penalize you. They also told me they were going to shadow ban my account because i called in to complain about their service and support toward pros. They will hound you down if you dont reply to clients within in their time frame but then when you want to talk to them you have to book an appointment thats 3 days out. These guys are an absolute joke of a company and if you have any dignity you will not want to work for these scumbags.

Update Feb, 2024

Update Feb, 2024.

Jiffy charges contractors (AKA Jiffy Pros) 30% for rate-based and 20% for quoted jobs—$ 75 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours to Jiffy clients ordering services from the app. Jiffy takes 30% of the total job, which is completely insane! A contractor pays for insurance, gas, and tools. Imagine being tooled, trucked & experienced so you can spend 3 hours of your day to make $105. Jiffy does not pay travel time to contractors, so you have to account for the time spent getting to people. You can take more than one job per day, but with crazy traffic most days and no guarantee of a second job coming from the app, you can be assured the pay is crap for someone with extensive experience.

I worked for Jiffy as a contractor

I worked for Jiffy as a contractor, and Jiffy is starting with lower fee for new contractors 22% and then fee goes up another 8% with thumbs down from customers, and the scam part that it's all fakes to bring the contractors fees up as much as possible.
Recently they changed the fees and started to charge up to 40%, that's total scam, if you are a contractor, have some respect to yourself and do not let croocks like Jiffy pro to make money on you.

Do not recommend

Used Jiffy quite a few times, had an issue with the service twice and filed warranty claimed, they were resolved, but after this we we re banned from using the service. They are looking for glowing reviews and do not want you to use these highly promised warranty service which is essentially the only way this service is different from anything else you can find yourself without paying any fees to them.

I hired someone who was suppose to be a pro he did a terrible job on putting in cupboard doors, don't even line up then you close the cupboard door. The shelves don't align with the wall. When I complained they said they would give me a small discount then charge me even more than I originally paid to fix it. Will never use them again.

Unverified, unqualified “pros”

They don’t vet their pros, so someone can say they’re qualified but have no training. Beyond that, the reviews on the app are questionable. I hired a 5 star contractor with 15 reviews and he didn’t know how to do the basics of the job I hired him for. When you run into trouble, support gives you the runaround for a few weeks and tells you that you didn’t hire a “verified pro” (their app doesn’t even show if someone is verified so only jiffy employees know). They ultimate did fix the job but it took months for a basic flooring job that should’ve taken 2 days.

I would never use this app again and encourage you not to!

CAUTION! WHEN USING A "Jiffy Pro"

CAUTION! "JIFFY PRO'S? THINK AGAIN! Reviews? Take a closer look ..... FAKE!

Worst company!!!! I hired them to fix my fridge and do some plumbing work. Neither job was completed satisfactorily and on top of that they left a mess.

I figured out their M.O. Think about it. Who would work and want to be labeled as A "Jiffy Pro"? Would a successful profesional want to be know as a "Jiffy Pro" tradesman running his own business? NEVER!!!!!

No, it is the desperate "Jiffy Pro's" of the repair service industry who can't get jobs because they are so bad that they go to work for Jiffy on demand so they can get work. That is why they can provide quick service with terrible quality requiring multiple revisits to fix the original job. I would stay clear of this company if you want anything to be fixed properly!

NOT RECOMMENDED !
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AND LOOK AT THE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS HOW THEY INDICATE THEY ARE INDEED FABRICATED.

IF YOUR A GOOD READER YOU WILL SPOT THEM.

PEOPLE USE JIFFY BECAUSE OF TIME RESTRICTIONS BUT STILL FOND THE TIME TO WRITE A WHOLE NOVEL ON THEIR EXPERIENCE. ...SURE!!!!

Be very careful re pricing for a service. I was charged $180 for a job which took just over 30 minutes. Their website is not clear that you will be charged a certain amount regardless of the time it takes. I was definitely way overcharged and will be extremely careful in the future. I would like to recommend this service to family and friends but after this experience I cannot. It has completely soured me with respect to this company and in fact I would caution anyone considering this service to ask a lot of questions prior to retaining them for any type of service.

Jiffy Users Must Share Their Credit Card

Jiffy Users Must Share Their Credit Card Details Before Being Connected With a Pro
For homeowners to get connected to a home service pro on Jiffy, they must input their credit card information. Homeowners are not able to communicate with a pro prior. For many, sharing credit card information before connecting/receiving a quote is not only time-consuming but can leave people feeling uneasy. Additionally, all payments are made through Jiffy, and Jiffy will take a percentage of each job. Feel I was taken for a ride, and Jiffy on Demand will do nothing for a resolution.
The 100% customer satisfaction is a scam as the end result for the handyman experience was "Unfortunately, this is out of our Pro's scope.
Be very careful before using this service. They are not transparent with their pricing. The quality of work of their tradesmen are very poor. Had 2 security lights put in, which they overcharged me for. One stopped working when the electrician left, he came back a second time. It stopped working after a day. Contacted jiffy to assist, not helpful.
I Am out of pocket OVER $500. He contacts MY tenant DIRECTLY (NOT ME!) altho he was SPECIFICALLY ASKED NOT TO. ABsolutely OUTrageous, UNacceptable, UNprofessional, Wants to come again (according to my TENANT, didn't hear from HIM!) but I DON'T want him TOUCHING anything I own. Part doesn't work, 3 visits didn't work.
I WANTED 100% refund, but Jiffy NOT willing. SHAMEFUL!
You've been warned!

A pro damaged my floors and installed a toilet that has lose parts. His name is Joshua Morison. He also asked me to get a faucet over the phone. The faucet ended up not being compatible. When I spoke with Rosita in customer service via text because that is the only method they use she was rude and not helpful. I have been a customer and had great experiences with Jiffy so I was very dissatisfied in how I was treated. Rosita and Lindsay in customer service lack empathy and customer service. Not worth the headache. @jiffy

Unresponsive

Not impressed. They advertise a 10 minute response time to book your service. I have been waiting 20 hours and no booking yet. They keep saying "Hope to have a pro confirmed for you shortly!" but nothing happens. I've given them 3 possible days for a dishwasher fix and they haven't got back to me. It seems they don't even know their people's schedule to be able to book someone.

Jiffy On-Demand Lawn Contract = FAIL

Wellison accepted my lawn mowing contract in January 2021. First scheduled date for mowing was May 1st. I requested a week-day visit and he said "No problem." He was a no-show and my grass continued to grow longer.

He then said he would come the second weekend in May. No-show again. Grass grew even longer.

Third week of May. He changed appt. again to Saturday May 15, 7-8AM. No-show once again.

I called Wellison and asked him where he was? He either pretended not to hear me or doesn't know English.

I then reported this problem to Jiffy customer service. instead of working to locate a reputable and reliable replacement, they canceled the whole contract. 😒 Told me I was basically on my own to find someone else.

The lawn is now seriously overgrown and I have nobody to mow it.

If this contractor accepts your job, RUN! He is unreliable and has no business being on this app. Shame on Jiffy for not properly vetting this contractor before allowing them to accept jobs they have no intention of performing.

An absolute customer experience disaster.
