Hi Richard.

As I'm unclear, can you please help me to understand how an SSD, that is only a container for your recordings from your camera to your computer, can have any effect on loading LUTs or post-production?

Particularity, because the JinniMag device you got uses the exact same type of the SSDs used in the Red Mini-Mag device, it makes it equally strange to state this as to say the a different print on two exactly similar shopping bags that you use to contain and bring your shopping home from a store, can make the spices in you food to taste differently, and therefore it's less efficient. Just replace shopping with "footage" and spices with "LUTs".

I assure you that JinniMag works 100% equal to what a RED Mini-Mag does. If something is NOT supposed to work on RED's it probably won't work on JinniMag, too. And I guess that may be your case, that you are expecting to do something that is not supposed to be done in that particular way.

You didn't have your files corrupted or frame drop or lack of compatibility, that makes JinniMag equally effective as RED Mini-Mag. Otherwise, you are always welcomed to contact us and we will take care of returns.

By the way, a few years into the use of JinniMag by many people, this is the first time we are receiving such a comment. We are a small company trying to make something extremely expensive affordable for many and save you some money, WITHOUT any compromise on quality. And as a small company, our customer satisfaction is paramount to us.

Dear Zack Wolfe;

I am sorry you feel unhappy with our product.

Assuming you are familiar with camera peripherals and that you understand the difference between “JinniMag” -that is inside the protective case in which it delivered- and it's complimentary “free hard shell protective case” some of your feedback points raised some serious concerns about it's validity.

You have mentioned that you “Contacted customer service about a refund and have yet to hear back from them”. In contrast to the you claimed in your review that is publicly published on TrustPilot (on 17th May 2017 at 14:00GMT) there is no record of any of your correspondence with us whatsoever so far.

You also put in writing: “The build quality is plastic, not very durable as they state on the site”. This is also untrue as there is no plastic part used in manufacturing JinniMag. JinniMag housing is fully metal as stated in the website.

We take quality control seriously and I can make you sure that we capture series of photographic evidences of every unit -including the one sent- before and during packaging that clearly establish the components, look, colour, exterior and material of it.


Any way, I have arranged a UPS pick up for TOMORROW (18th of May 2017) to collect the JinniMag you purchased from us and return it to us for either an exchange or full refund as a matter of high priority.

The return will be free of charge and I sent you the postage labels (airway bill) to go on the packaging via your email you provided upon making the purchase.

We are quite serious about our company's and it's products' integrity and have a proven record of not withstanding any defamatory/libellous comments at any level.
