Disappointed
I ordered a tent via their website on Wednesday. The money was taken from my account and I received an official confirmation email. So far so good...
I anticipated a dispatch email the following day (Thursday) but I heard nothing.
Then late on Friday I receive an brusque email:
"wont know if we have an Orion tent in stock untill (sic) Monday . Will confirm availability then"
So they didn't even know if they had it in stock. The weekend passes and I wait to hear on Monday - nothing.
On Tuesday, (6 days after placing my order), having heard nothing, I enquire what's happening. I later get the response:
"just received call I am affraid (sic) we have sold out ! will refund"
So it's taken 6 days to learn that they don't have the stock they advertise on their site; and that they are not going to supply me. They've not even tried to order one in from their distributor. I could have ordered online from another supplier, received delivery and gone on a camping trip in the time it's taken them to let me know they are not even going to try to fulfil my order.
I have subsequently checked their website and the tent is still advertised for sale and of course you would be able to place your order and make your payment and they will take your money etc...
I have no confidence that anything they advertise on their website is actually available. Their stock levels are not linked to their website and their order processing 'system' is slow and amateurish. This is certainly a company I will avoid dealing with in future.

They still have the tent advertised on their website and will continue to take your money in payment for stock they don't have.

They have today(!) finally removed this product from their website - 8 1/2 weeks after I placed my original order.
