Had another wonderful time at Joan’s art retreat at rudyard lake. It truely is a beautiful place to be. So peaceful ☺️ this is a piece I painted during the retreat of flowers in a meadow. Thankyou Joan for giving me the confidence to believe I can paint 🎨 I’ve even gone out and bought my own paints, paper and brushes and have started painting at home! 🏡

Had an amazing experience at the art retreat! I went with my daughter for her birthday treat and some mum and daughter time x Joan is a great teacher and her approach to art is detailed using lots of different tools for watercolour expression making it a really fun experience. I’ve learnt a lot in one day and would definitely return x very friendly atmosphere, lunch and teas and coffees . Was lovely meeting new people and chatting about our stories, was all round a fantastic day 😊

Wow Joan’s art retreat was a blast! Lovely people and a great teacher. I’ve been once before as a birthday treat and this was my second time I will 100% be returning. I’ve told a couple of friends how great it was and we are planning on coming together in march. With Joan’s classes she doesn’t do “step by step” but instead teaches you techniques which enables you to go away and paint freely with the skills you have learnt. Highly recommend!!!

Good company, artistic creativity, tranquil setting, and time to relax and recouperate from a busy lifestyle.

I wanted something special.
Joan certainly delivered they are absolutely stunning.

She did 4 commissions for me, 2 of which I offered to my daughter for her 20th birthday, and 2 were for me. She worked from pictures, she asked lots of relevant questions that only a true professional and artist would ask! The results, each time, were incredible. So perfect, shiny, faithful to our beloved animals! Last but not least, she is such a nice and warm person to know!

I bought a piece of Joan Kennedy's artwork at a fair in Milton Keynes. It was hard to choose as there was so much I liked! Joan's artwork is bright, engaging and authentic and her animal characters would add a cheerful note to any home.
Joan is a warm and friendly person; the purchase was very relaxed - no hard sell at all here - and I was delighted to hear about the story behind her passion for producing such lovely items.

Loved the full day course I attended at Rudyard Lake. A really relaxed and enjoyable day, in a beautiful setting. Joan is a great teacher and a lovely person too.

Joan did a commission for us of our gorgeous dog Cooper. The likeness was incredible. It hangs in our living room with pride and we love it. Thank you Joan for your wonderful work and service.

Joan is a true talent. I have purchased numerous pieces of her art and giftware and I am never disappointed. Not only is she a fantastic artist, she is also a lovely person and gives great advice regarding the hanging and positioning of her work. Fantastic. Joan has been running these brilliant events upstairs at rudyard lake . I have personally seen everyone enjoying themselves and doing some amazing artwork . A beautiful lake with gorgeous views is the perfect setting for creativity and mindfulness.

Joan is a great artist and shares her knowledge with people at her watercolour retreat days. Joan is an excellent teacher and a lovely warm happy person which makes it a pleasure to be in her company
