I went to Carl Lewis for help with my CV, at the suggestion of my work coach, as it was fairly barebones and definitely need to be updated. Firstly, meeting was scheduled at my local job centre but, at the last minute, it was changed to being a phone call, meaning that I basically had to reschedule my whole day around it.
On the call, he wasn’t very clear about what I needed to do to, sending me links to courses that expired the day after he provided them, he also wasn’t very clear about what changes he was suggesting I make to my CV while he was writing the document of changes so, when I received the document of suggested changes after the call, I wasn’t entirely sure what to do with the information provided. As I didn’t have access to the suggestion document until the end of the call, I couldn’t provide feedback to Carl’s swarm of incorrect changes.
For reference, my only job has been as an Ocado delivery van driver, a job that only involved driving and delivering products to customers and that I was fired from after a week due to failing the driving assessment, if you believed the things that Carl told me to put about myself and the job, you’d think I was a truck driver that packed products into the vans which I’d then deliver to customers and, if you didn’t look at the dates on my CV, you’d also think that I was a logistics expert that had worked at the Ocado job for a couple years.
Carl also told me to give feedback to him at the end of the call but he rushed me so much, that I couldn’t read his horrible CV suggestions and, as such, basically tricked me into giving him a five star review out of ignorance.
I’m sure I would’ve probably had a more positive experience of Carl Lewis if this CV edit was done in person, able to have more direct feedback on the edit but, as a phone call, I was confused, rushed, and, altogether, dissatisfied with the experience that I had.

Absolutely amazing..!! I have recently gone self employed and Clare and the team have helped me out tremendously from answering questions about tax returns to funding equipment. I get a phone call once a month to see how things are going and offer her advice.

Very pleasant experience

My employment coach was Clare Kumi. After a particularly difficult couple of years in my personal life, Clare gave me all the support and professional guidance I needed to start my own business and get back to work around my young children. Clare was so understanding and patient with me during the times when i was close to giving up, and assisted me with finding a solution and a way through. Personally i feel she went above and beyond her role to support me, and for this myself and my family will be forever grateful to her for this. There was never any pressure or deadlines, and the help is there if you need it. Although employment support can seem excessive at times via the job centre, Jobs22 are better equipped from a professional perspective to assist you dependant upon your individual circumstances and e.g. help you in a particular field such as self employment. Clare completely understood me, my circumstances and what I was trying to achieve. I highly recommend working with jobs 22. Special thanks to Clare Kumi for your kindness and support. I will miss our catch ups! :)
