The basic price for the adv. covers three month period, but it is valid only when your advertisement deadline is over three month. I placed an adv. with deadline for 2 weeks, and planned to extend until filled. However, Jobs.ac.uk asked me to pay another full payment for this extension. I recommend to use other sites, such as FindaPhd or LinkedIn.
I would give this website 0 if I could. They don't know how to categorise jobs properly. Looking at jobs in education studies - a field that I've worked in as a full time senior academic for three decades - around half of them are totally outside that subject: e.g. tutor in Welsh, security research analyst, defence research analyst, research fellow in clinical brain sciences, law teacher, health research, clinical research fellow in a dept. of cardiovascular science, statistics and economics tutor, accounting tutor, creative music production. NONE OF THESE ARE IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATIONAL STUDIES - and these are from only pages 1-3 of 8 pages! These people don't understand what educational studies is. My advice: use the Times Higher Education jobs page.
