Don't bother trying to work for this…

Don't bother trying to work for this company. I finally got access to a Windows laptop because my Mac wouldn't work for the job. I passed the pc scan and couldn't go to the next screen despite the directions saying that i can go the apply portion. I refreshed thinking the page got stuck and got kicked out then told " Thank you for your interest in Working Solutions. Based on your applicant profile we have determined you are not a fit for our agent community. We appreciate your time and wish you well in your job search." HOW AM I NOT A FIT WHEN I HAVEN'T EVEN MADE IT TO THE APPLY PORTION?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I only filled out the profile. I can't login either. I don't understand how your application process works if you're going to kick people out before they get a chance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry for the frustration you went through. It makes sense that you would feel confused and discouraged after preparing your system and trying to move forward with the application.

What you described can happen when our system detects inconsistencies within an application. When that happens, the system stops the process early, which can feel abrupt and unclear, especially if you have not yet reached the apply portion. I understand how disappointing that can be.

We appreciate your interest in joining the Working Solutions community, and are sorry that the process left you feeling dismissed. Your feedback is valuable as we continue working to make our communication clearer for applicants.

If you feel that your application may have been flagged in error or you would like someone to review your situation, our support team can assist at hr@workingsol.com.

Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we wish you well in your job search.

Take it up a Notch !

8GB of Ram? No Wifi? What are you running a concentration camp online! Your working website is definitely not user friendly...the max of 8GB ram miniimum 4GB? You may get ppl to work for you but in my opinion your website platform sucks by not being Iinterchangeable for ppl who could bring more jobs to your platform n knowledge ...you dnt want employees, you want work slaves where once you download your software, they dnt hv room for anything else on their bare minimum computer hv you thought abt modernizing your work platform to let other ppl who could work for you get on board....you want nothing but to override ppls computer where they can't stay updated with their computer software n not work for anyone else!.. Stop bombarding ppls computers, open up n get more ppl to work for you....n lastly needing Ethenet no Wifi is as old fashion as u can get ... Take ur platform n stuff it because the Ramifications you want are 20plus years behind n so unfair to those who could possibly be contractors for you as you are definitely the last of the last of this fossil typed almost extinct platform....

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced, and we appreciate the chance to clarify a few things.

Our system requirements, including RAM minimums and the need for a wired Ethernet connection, are in place to ensure security, stability, and the best performance for our clients and contractors. Many of the projects we support involve sensitive customer information, so a hard‑wired connection helps prevent dropped calls, audio issues, and data interruptions that can occur over Wi‑Fi.

We also want to reassure you that:

• Contractors maintain full control of their own devices. Our platform does not prevent the use of other software, nor does it block people from working with other companies.

• We regularly update and modernize our technology, and our team continues to evaluate system requirements as new, secure solutions become available.

• Our support team is always happy to troubleshoot setup concerns or answer questions about equipment needs.

We truly value your perspective and will share your comments internally as we continue improving our contractor experience. If you’d like to discuss your concerns directly, please reach out to us at hr@workingsol.com. We’re here to help.

Lack of Preparation

My instructor is knowledgeable. I feel that there was too much emphasis on the "booking" of tours which we were repeatedly told "you won't be doing this". I feel like I was thrown in the lion's den when I took my first live call. My opinion is that we should have had the opportunity to role play with pros instead of being put in a break out room with someone who is as confused as myself. I feel I am unprepared for Leap. The curriculum needs to change. Than you for the opportunity to express my feelings.

Great Company

Working Solutions had a very clear and thorough roadmap in place, which made it easy to understand what was expected at each stage. The structure and support were there--it was just a matter of staying consistent and putting in the work each day. I appreciated how everything was laid out step by step.

I am SO HAPPY to be back!!!!!

The interaction in training

The interaction in training, the amount of training that was given, the instructors that were training us were absolutely amazing! It was fun & enjoyable. I feared 3 hrs for training I would nod off for sure, but NO! Not once did that happen! I am appreciative & grateful for all that was put in to guide us on our journey! Would definitely recommend to some one that was looking for an opportunity! Great Job!!!!

WorkingSolutions The Company

Working Solutions is a nice company to work for. I worked for them about 4 years ago on a couple of different programs and I found them to be a caring company to work for. They are helpful and very attentive to you meeting your goals. I just started back a couple of months ago and people working to support are still very committed.

Inconsistent Assessment Grading Policies

I took the assessment with them a while back and passed. I have proof of this in my email. I tried to log in recently and was greeted with a screen that says I did not pass my assessment, so I emailed customer service who proceeded to tell me that their "assessments have been recalibrated and unfortunately, my results no longer meet their requirements," and that they don't allow retakes. This makes zero sense and I cannot understand how they think this is a legitimate way to run a business. Don't waste your time with them because they may just decide to change up their grading system again and alienate even more clients.

I feel completely misled

I feel completely misled by the company. I accepted a position contracting for Turbo Tax during this tax season. During training we were told more than once there would be plenty of hours, even more than full time if you wanted it.Totally not true. I was not able to get even close to full time until I was "promoted" to a tier 2 agent after attending a one hour WebEx meeting. We were also told repeatedly that there were no minimum hours so you could work this as a second job. Basically they lie about the minimum because you get reprimanded quite rudely if you don't schedule 15 or 20 hours even though there aren't official minimums. Training is a joke that you will be lucky to get paid anything for. Their payroll system is a royal pain. No regular direct deposit unless you want to wait days longer for your paycheck. Instead they direct deposit it to a prepaid account that is overrun with fees. And you're a self employed contractor and have to pay your own taxes. At least that they are upfront about from the beginning. Otherwise, they mislead you, their systems are a mess and make it very hard to stay logged in and "available" for the full 60 minutes each hour so you can get paid for 45 minutes at whatever per minute rate they are paying you, and they have some very unprofessional staff who don't know how to deal with people professionally.

Below minimum wage/ Consistent wage theft

I had such high hopes for this company. Essentially : Working Solutions is a platform which works as an intermediary between the independent contractor (You) and the client company (i.e Turbo Tax, A place for Mom, etc.)
The independent contractor signs a contract with working solutions which outlines policies (pay, attendance, etc) to be executed by you and working solutions.

Issue: WORKING SOLUTIONS DOES NOT ADHERE TO THEIR PORTION OF THE CONTRACT REGARDING PAY.

On SEVERAL occasions many hundreds of contractors have complained about missing pay, resource agent behavior, and made-up contract stipulations ( Usually regarding pay after agents notice non-payment for hours worked). None of these issues have ultimately resolved, instead, the company sends a placeholder to gaslight all of the complaining contractors i.e " I got my money; if the 150+ of you haven't received your pay, it's likely a user error. Follow up with a dispute. " We even had the VP of Programs pop into a chat to
interject on pay issues, the only problem is, her response had NOTHING to do with missing pay.
The contractors are not in error with their complaints; they are being robbed of time and money.
The accounting team does not adhere to the pay dispute guarantee.
So essentially, you end up being paid .05/min for the time you've worked instead of the guaranteed 0.25-0.30/min.
Working solutions holds that this issue varies depending on the client. That is not the truth. Ultimately, Working Solutions is in charge of remitting payments to its contractors and has had several issues with this across client programs.

The work environment is horrible and full of bad-mannered, passive-aggressive resource agents. Resource agents are level 1 help agents that are paid about 0.01 cent more per minute than regular agents to help new agents with questions during calls.
As independent contractors/Agents, everyone is their own boss. However, that doesn't stop the resource agents from barking orders at the agents that ask for help in the help room chats, being downright rude at every turn, and signing agents off of the phone systems at random (a BIG issue since your paycheck is auto-populated based on the minutes you spend logged into the phone systems)
There are program Managers that are supposed to be there to help resolve these issues, but they do nothing.

A lot of the agents are complacent and have bullied other agents when/if they complain about any of the maladapted behaviors and practices that are in place.
You can see many threads of resource agent/normal agent interactions that are appalling in language and scope. These threads usually start with a simple and innocent question about the inner workings of working solutions and are met with vicious comments.

Essentially it all boils down to a facet of exploitation. Many of the workers here have few other choices in attaining quick and easy employment in this time, and are unlikely to seek legal recourse as the pay they receive is close to nothing.

Save yourself, do not contract here.
