No update For 3 days

For 3 days, there was no update on the shipping. For 3 days, DPD said they have not yet received the box from John Bell. Then suddenly it appeared.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re very sorry for the frustration caused by the delay.

Just to clarify the timeline: your order was placed on Saturday, 24th January at 5pm, after our team had finished for the weekend, so it was dispatched on Monday, the next working day.

The delay occurred on the courier’s side, as DPD had not yet scanned the parcel, which can make it look as though nothing has been received. Once they scanned it, the tracking updated.

We appreciate your patience, and while the dispatch was handled on time, this type of delay is unfortunately something only the courier can address. If you ever need help with an order, we’re always here to assist.

Brilliant customer service

Our clinic needed a manual old school BP machine urgently today. I was ringing around local pharmacies in a panic. Ryan from the John Bell pharmacy was incredible!!! He found me the right machine and kept it on the side for my colleague. Ryan, you saved the day!! Thank you so much

Great service 7

I ordered online but they contacted me very quickly to say that one of the items was out of stock. They gave me a number of options, from which I chose to wait for restocking. They kept me informed on expected timescales and despatched the full order promptly. Great service from Natalia.

Only 1 item ordered online was in stock

Only one item ordered online was deliverable, suggesting a problem between John Bell & Croyden’s system of record and their website, causing a hit and miss user experience. Shame as was raving about them last year. Their product lines are excellent but if you aren’t sure what’s actually going to arrive it’s very hard to purchase presents from them.

Just to clarify, two of the items you ordered were in stock and were sent to you. The third item had unfortunately been sold offline (in‑store) shortly before your online order was processed. Because it was also discontinued, we weren’t able to offer a replacement or restock, so we issued a refund straight away.

We also apologise for not communicating this sooner. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when purchasing gifts, and we’re working to improve both our stock accuracy and communication.

Poor service

Poor service. I had to buy something for someone who doesn't use the internet. I asked them to send a particular colour but ended getting the wrong one. They should have contacted me to say they don't have colours I needed. Fair enough, things like that happen in life but that itself isn't always a reason for a bad review as I suppose it can be returned. But felt violated as they put my name on the parcel instead of what I put meaning the lady opened a parcel in my name (containing her items). I take privacy very seriously and don't like the delivery name being changed without my consent and then having a parcel "with my name" being opened. On a positive note, the price was good. But I think I was let down overall hence a rating of 1 star.

We`re sorry to hear that your experience didn`t meet your expectations.

Regarding the colour: the product you purchased does not come with a colour-selection option - it is dispatched in a random colour. We received a colour request from you, and our team explained that we would do our best, although we could not guarantee availability. We understand it was disappointing not to receive the preferred colour.

As for the name of the parcel - we understand that the situation felt uncomfortable for you. The name was automatically replaced with the name of the account holder because the "name" field contained a message rather than the recipient`s details. This is a system rule to ensure the parcels are addressed correctly. We also clarified this directly in our private response at the time.

Unfortunately we did not receive any information indicating that the parcel was meant for someone else, and we rely on customers to provide accurate address and name details at the checkout.

We`re sorry that despite our explanation you still felt dissatisfied, and we appreciate you taking time to share your concerns.
