I have found their customer service very helpful. And I fully support the mission of the company, I'd like to see more companies working to support the environment. Interest rate is not bad too!

Atmos is not reliable and difficult to work with. I was told that Atmos would notify us when the first payment on our loan for solar panels was due. The first notification I received was that I was late for our first payment. I called and was told there was a problem with their notification program. I quickly made a payment, but I could not set up automatic payments until the first payment cleared, which took several days. After that delay, I set up automatic payments. The proportion of each payment that went to principal and interest varied greatly and was inconsistent with any amortization schedule I have ever seen. After more than a year (but less than the period required for tax credits to be applied), the principal owed actually grew by 862.25 despite regular monthly payments being made. I decided to pay off the loan. I went through the Atmos website to make the payment and paid off what Atmos stated was the payoff amount. But paying off a loan through Atmos takes 3 days to settle! And during those three days, further interest accrues! In other words, given the limitations of Atmos' system, you can never pay off your loan!

My complaint is that I cannot join the club. For some reason(s) I keep getting denied approval. This last attempt I submitted my ID and a headshot. However, like my other tries I have been denied without explanation. I have been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. I like the premise of Atmos but would like an explanation in detail as to why I continually am denied use of their services.

I’ve been using Atmos since it was in beta and I highly recommend it! I love their mission and values; it feels good to put my money where my mouth is.

Excellent bank that has everything I need for online banking. Their interest ratest are the highest around, and I love that my deposits are funding only climate-positive investments. Customer service is great on the very rare occasions I have needed to use it.

Please refer to my other review. They finally reimplemented their mobile check deposits. It is no different. They continue to reject checks with no explanation, charge a chargeback fee, and let you scramble. These hacks are horrible.

I moved from Chase to Atmos to divest from fossil fuels. While I appreciate that Atmos is a B Corp investing in renewable energy and partners with many environmental groups, with high savings interest rate, my user experience of Atmos isn't so smooth because it's new. It has upgraded its backend bank at least twice in the past year, most recently to Five Star Bank, which changed my account number, not so long after I signed up. This caused a lot of trouble when my automatic payments got rejected as I can't remember to change all of them, and it hasn't been that long since I went through that turmoil after switching from Chase. Furthermore, not working with Zelle, not accepting cash deposit, and not having a checkbook have caused some awkward situations, though I managed to work around. The limit to cash deposit has been kind of annoying when I have to mobil deposit my paycheck the first month after changing my direct deposit. During the transition to Five Star Bank, mobile deposit isn't working. I haven't lost my patience with Atmos yet, as the instability of a new service is understandable. We'll see how it goes after it moves to Five Star Bank. Hopefully it goes well. The frustration kind of makes me regret not switching to Amalgamated instead, which is very mature and stable.

I want to give a shout out to this company. I was cautious about how it might work at first, but I have found that moving money has been seamless, and when I have been unsure, their help staff has been quick to get me on track. Their recent move between underwriters went smoothly for me as well. Meanwhile I feel confident that my money has been working in a way that I can get behind (solar loans and supporting good organizations).

A couple of weeks ago Atmos cancelled my debit card when I was trying to buy gas. I was confused initially but then rec'd a VM from their customer support saying the card info was "compromised on the Dark Web" and cancelled for my safety. Ok, not great, but they did have a "virtual debit card" that I could implement on my phone using the app. However, I was unable to withdraw cash since most ATM's around here require a physical card and the 'tap' feature is somewhat rare.

I received a new card a few days ago, went to activate it via the phone tree, sounded like it worked, but then I find the new card isn't listed on my Atmos account. Also, there was some sort of bank migration that was taking place as my compromised card was being shipped, and now I'm being asked to request another new card, with another 2 week delay expected, and this time no virtual card. I left a message with their VM, no response yet.

There was also the issue of transaction/card limits. A few months ago, I was requested to "verify" some information so they could raise my limits. Okay, I played along, but the final piece to raise my limits was some sort of phone interview they wanted me to complete. I didn't have the time (or really interest) to engage with the additional request for a phone interview, my limits stayed the same, and now they've migrated to a new bank it doesn't look like my "verification" is recorded on the website any longer, and there's no option of raising the limits. This is unfortunate because it very much restricts what sort of purchases I am able to make with my account.

Overall I really like the ethos/mission of Atmos bank and the savings interest rate is excellent, but the accessibility factor and customer support are horrifying. Customer support is very courteous but between the issues with my card(s) and transaction limits, I'm starting to look around.

Ravi (the CS rep that worked to restore my card/account service) did a great job getting my account back up and running. I'm looking forward to the improvements Atmos will be bringing to their customers through their new partnership with Five Star Bank.

What a great bank. Points for
- Friendly and efficient customer service. Instant replies on the online chat, quick turnaround via email. Yet to phone, there is no need for these two communication options.
- Security checks at each step to provide peace of mind.
- Clear and easy-to-use app and website.
- Decent savings rate with a minimum monthly donation.

Waiting for the joint account option to open another account.

Have loved banking with Atmos so far. Great features like nonprofit donations and tons of carbon saved. On top of it all, I know my money is being used to fund climate positive projects and working to reverse climate change. This feels like the future of banking. Highly recommend!

Atmos Financial gives me peace of mind knowing that each dollar I have deposited with them is being leveraged to help finance green projects, such as loans for solar adoption. Their relatively high interest rate is a bonus, and their authentication security gives me comfort and trust. Highly recommend Atmos!

Really admire Atmos for going through the FDIC insurance process so that users like me can safely park our reserve/rainy day funds in a place that earns real money for social good.

Excellent team and a solid trustworthy cause

I was looking for a new, more ethical way of banking, and have found it with Atmos. It feels great to have my banking align with my personal values. This is the first bank I've found that helps the environment, supports great non-profits, and even offers a better rate. What's not to love about that? Thank you Atmos!

I started with a small deposit and then eventually moved my savings account over. This is a bank with a better savings rate than normal banks, provides value to our world, and will not fund polluters, or petrochemical companies. FDIC insured means we are all safe and helping our world. No brainer...

Love this climate friendly bank. Was easy to move money, feels very secure with all the alerts on sign-ins,etc. Also, love the fact it pays high-interest but also that some proceeds go to climate causes I care about. Keep up the good work!

Atmos has been great so far. Knowing my money is being used for the good of the earth and earning high interest AND supporting great charities. It’s a triple win. Can’t wait for Atmos to keep rolling out more products!

Atmos is legit through and through. They’re the only bank I could find that actually exclusively supports clean energy and reversing climate change. Super customer service.

Opening an account at Atmos Financial is very easy. Most importantly it feels so good to know that my money isn't being used to build oil pipelines that violate the rights of Native people, threaten to pollute freshwater supplies or prolong our dependence on fossil fuels. I want my money invested in projects that are climate positive.
