I ordered the doctoral regalia and…

I ordered the doctoral regalia and received the wrong one. The doctoral regalia that I paid over $1000 for is incorrect. I require the blue robe with the blue velvet piping, NOT the black robe with the blue piping. I called and spoke to several people out of the people that I have spoken to 1 hung up on me, and 3 couldn't help me. How hard is it to get a blue robe with blue piping..that's simple. I spent 3 years in college, fast track, paid a lot of money for school, only to have the incorrect reagalia, and have paid over $1000 for something that I did not request, and they don't seem to care. I bet if the issue were something else of their interest they would care.

Beyond frustrated with Jostens! I will NEVER order another thing from this company EVER! I ordered my daughters graduation invitations on 3/3 (that I spent almost $200 on for 50 invitations) that won’t be here in time to even send out for the graduation on May 8th. After emailing them they are unable to cancel my order and give me a refund until I receive the invitations then I can send them back! This is an awful way to do business.

Would give zero stars if it was…

Would give zero stars if it was offered. Terrible customer service. Refuse to follow their own policy. I requested a refund on Jan 8th, 2026. It was approved and told it would take 10-15 business days to process. After multiple emails, over 6 weeks later, I finally got a partial refund in SOMEONE ELSES NAME!
It took another several weeks to receive the second part of my refund, it did actually come in my name. They want me to have the person (who does not live in my home) to go to the bank with me and sign it over to me. Ive already made them aware that we have gone to the bank and they said that was ridiculous. The policy states refunds are given in the way they are received. I have a confirmation email also stating this. They received $300 from MY debit card, but refused to refund it that way. I would never do business with them again. Such an unnecessarily awful experience. I did report to the BBB with all the proof of the owed refund, but they also ignored the many attempts the BBB tried to reach out. So, that report will be reflected on their site. Buyer beware! It is now April 2nd, as of today, they are simply refusing to issue my refund in my name.

I'm with everyone on this. Our great kid is graduating, we have only one choice...to buy a cheap polyester robe and some trinkets added in from this company for around $82 plus another $20 that they add on without warning you, just before you pay. The entire package will be thrown in the dumpster after graduation. I can't think of a workaround for this, other than demand that your school stop cooperating in this massive scheme. This company knows it has you where they want you on this occasion, and you will do your best to give your senior a graduation experience where they need to look like everyone else at school. Absolutely a scam. And their website is almost unnavigable, and prompts you to keep spending all the way to the end and past.

Buy elsewhere!!

To all the parents out there, PLEASE don't ever order your child's ring from this company! Go to Herff Jones, ETSY, heck, even Amazon! Wrong ring/style came in, did a re-do and STILL wrong. Said either accept or we'll give you a refund. That's sort of tough when you need a ring by a certain date. Horrible customer service, they don't care about you or your kid, you are simply a number and a dollar sign. Save yourself the heartache and buy elsewhere, trust me!

Garbage legacy company. Their website is operated by a 9 year old. It's the only logical explanation. Jostens one main goal is to get the year right, and they're a year behind. Incompetence at best, complete idiocracy at worst. Not a good look or experience. Next kid that graduates, WE WILL NOT UTILIZE JOSTENS, and save our sanity.

Doing yearbook ad was horrible

Just did the yearbook ad for our daughter and it was the most painful experience trying to get the website to work. Pictures were a pain to ad. No numerical word counter as your typing the word part of the ad. You get to end with not enough space. It kicks you out or backwards constantly causing you to lose progress having to restart. I almost didn’t complete out of frustration. Took me over an hour to ad 3 pictures and a small paragraph only to be charged $4 for convenience fee when I did all the work. What was convenient? $74 dollars for the smallest ad is ludicrous. Not buying photos, rings, or graduation accessories due to outrageous prices. Buying elsewhere saved me over $1000 dollars. Get ur pictures done elsewhere for 1/4 of the price. Rings were $80 from a local jeweler. Customized graduation accessories from Etsy $60. Pics $45. Save the money.

Refused refund even after proof of request 3 weeks earlier

Placed an order on 11/13/25. Sent email to request partial cancellation 2 days later 11/15. Received automated email with case number. No further response. Got email saying entire order was shipping. Called customer support to get refund for part of order I didn't want. Absolutely refused. Avoid this business like the plague.

Scam company

Their schedule, not yours claiming false norms.

Buyer beware. This is a terrible company trying to thrive on name recognition alone.

We ordered graduation announcements in mid March from Jostens. And they were delivered May 12th. Even the high school was surprised at their late arrival.

When we contacted Jostens about the 2 month delay in arrival, we were told announcements are intended to be sent up to 6 weeks AFTER graduation so a congratulatory note can be sent to the student, not beforehand to notify family and friends of the upcoming event to make plans to attend.

So according to their customer service, taking 2 months to send a $200 order that arrives 2 weeks before graduation is perfectly acceptable.

Jostens is the WORST

I am completely and utterly disappointed with my experience with Jostens and I will not be using them in the future, nor will I recommend them to a family/friend. I work at a university and ordered graduation stoles for our graduating credential students. I ordered them 2 months in advance and paid for expedite shipping and it's a good thing because they were sporadically delivered while we patiently waited to receive them all so we can give them to our graduates for a ceremony they would be a part of. Two packages arrived EMPTY so two of our candidates were the only ones without a stole - it was devastating to see them so sad as they were taking group and family pictures. I called Jostens and had to re-order the two missing stoles and again was told one delivery date but only to have them delivered days later. I received the new orders and AGAIN they were wrong! The names on the stoles were incorrect. I give Jostens a ZERO!

No doctoal robe for graduation! Order never started.

I ordered my doctoral robe and regalia before the deadline given to me by my university, but as of the day before graduation I had no robe. I called and my order had not even been started! I was given a full refund, but that doesn't give me a robe to wear to my graduation tomorrow. DO NOT BUY FROM JOSTENS! See if there is an alternative!

Josten’s LOST my son’s Letterman’s…

Josten’s LOST my son’s Letterman’s Jacket! Over 500 dollars and I can’t even get the local representative to explain what happened to my son’s jacket! It was in her possession. On April 11, and she called saying it was in. We said we would go pick it up and I paid the balance over the phone with a credit card! Never even set eyes on this jacket. She said it has to go to the school for a PO? Whatever that meant and now the jacket is unable to be found! She won’t answer the phone and no one in the school knows anything about the jacket! It’s ruined my son’s senior year. All because this woman was so incompetent to not just allow us to pick up the jacket. I’m beyond angry! I have spent thousands with this company and I am going to do all I can to make sure everyone knows what we’ve experienced and how disgracefully we’ve been treated in all of this! I feel like his jacket is in the trunk of a car or just hanging somewhere and this woman who demanded that this jacket not be given to us,the owners of the jacket but to go to the school first, now has no answers! I am astonished a company could do business this way. Graduation is less than a month away and now I’m going to have to pay for an attorney and sue Josten’s for mental anguish and my son’s whole senior experience being ruined.

Spent over 5 hours on multiple phone…

Spent over 5 hours on multiple phone calls and processing a return at USPS. Every step of the way needed hand holding with me proving with receipts, tracking, emails, etc... that each step had taken place. Unfortunately, Jostens seems to be a monopoly that many schools use. The hide the plain "cap and gown" package at the very bottom of some webpage, so it seems that expensive packages with fancy paper invitations, etc... are the only option. Frankly, except for weddings, I've been doing invites to parties for the kids digitally.
