The awning was missing a screw which wasn’t a massive deal, but did need replacing so we could use it. However, after a few calls & emails, we arranged for a repair whilst the RV was parked... See more

Compact but good for solo traveling
Clean car
Good bedsheets provided
Everything works
A little inconvenient is the sink. While pushing, it's hard to clean and there is no good space for the gasstove, in general the kitchen is a little too compact.

Not what we expected
Get rid of your crap cars - the modern Toyota Corolla or similar in the picture did not match what we got. We got a beaten up Toyota of some sort. Near 7yrs old, $425,000+km on the clock, dodgy brakes and no pick up to pass cars safely and for $630 5days nz. Booked through DiscoveryCars Cairns. I should have taken note of the reviews.

Horrible experience
We have rented a campervan with pick up in Cairns Saturday the 14/9 and delivery in Melbourne Saturday the 12/10.
At pick up in Cairns we go through the car with two young girls. One of them is in training and the other one seem to be in control. The one showing us how the van works finds out that the cabinets have a hard time closing, but try to brush it off as normal. She then proceeds to show us the faucet, which is really leaky, but have to turn it off and pretend that is normal.
We then drive of, but quickly find out all the problems and shortcomings of the car. When we try to use the faucet for the first time, we find out the tank is totally empty. We've been sent on our way with an empty tank. We then find out that the faucet cannot be turned off! The water is constantly running, unless we turn it completely off on the switch. That is very unfortunate when you are outback trying to preserve water.
The first night we are going to sleep, we find out that ALL curtains miss a button, so the sun wakes us up early in the morning
The back door cannot be closed without slamming it really hard 5-10 times, so we can lock the car for the night or when we are on a hike. We have gotten complaints from fellow travelers that we are slamming the door almost everywhere we went.
We then decide Thursday the 26/9 to drive by JUCY Sydney to get our pillows, linen and towels changed, because we were halfway through our trip. While we were there we hoped they could help us with the problems we've encountered.
They tried to fix the curtains. While trying to fix the curtains your employee had something sticky om his pants that went all over the car and our suitcases. They said they were sorry, but the stains would not come of the car or our suitcases.
They acknowledged that the faucet needed a new valve, but they did not have the option to fix it.
We then got to talk with the manager there, who was really rude and belittled us. He meant that we should have used our time on driving through Brisbane or Gold Coast to fix the problems. It was "out of his hands". We told him that we had a lot of other things to see and explore here in Australia, and our priority have not been fixing your campervan.
We used a whole hour at JUCY Sydney. When we were going to sleep the same night, we noticed that the new buttons on the curtains did not fit ones on the car. So we just wasted our afternoon in the shop.
We think it's unbelievable that we should pay all this money and use our vacation on trying to fix your problems on the campervan. We thought you were a big company who knew how to run things, but apparently not. They offered us 90 AUD in compensation for our troubles.. We have paid 5500 AUD with the the stress free plus! But this has not been stress free at all.
They are just trying to squeeze every penny out of any costumer, without acknowledging their mistakes.

Great service
Great service. We used the for the first time when we traveled to Melbourne a couple years back and they were our first choice for our trip to Queenstown. They are not at the airport and some people wouldn't want to wait for a shuttle, but with better prices and being able to pick up the car at a location with much less traffic and congestion, which is what you get at the airport. I loved it. This especially if you are driving on the left side of the road for the first time.

First of all the staff very grumpy and…
First of all the staff very grumpy and unhelpful. A very long wait to pick up the van, with no apology for it being late. No offer of a drink while we waited. After complaining to the manager he offered a half a day refund. Which i never received. Now getting billed for not leaving clean. We emptied everything at the gas station by the airport!!! We might not be expert campers but we tried to do as they asked. If there was a problem why not tell us when you did the vehicle check?

Left some things out
Chaser hire was process was easy but they left out items that I paid for (no camping chairs/table) no inside table...was removed for some reason. And the grey water was constantly leaking.

Worst Car I have ever driven!
Drove worst car ever, geuninely thought it would brake down on the way. The following is what I sent to the feedback team and I received ~$170 back. Never hire a camper with Jucy.
"I can not believe that someone has the audacity to hire our that vehicle, let alone at the rate! That van was built in 2003 and had over 400,000kms on it! It would be cheaper to buy that car and the camping equipment than hire it out from you. We spent ~$1000 on that vehicle for a week and based on what we received it was worth ~$400 max. And the fact that you charge insurance on it is basically criminal. You say our liability is up to $5,000, when it would be cheaper for you to buy a new car. If someone were to have any sort of crash in it, they would be doing you a favour, as it is most likely worth more written off, than it would cost to fix it. I doubt they even make spare parts for that vehicle any more. I was expecting a vehicle from 2014-2017 due to your advertisement on interior fit out, not 2003. At no point while booking the did it state that the age of the vehicle would be more that that. As soon as I saw the age of the vehicle I had immediate safety concerns. No one should be hiring out a car that is over 10 years old without making it clear to the driver the age of the vehicle, let alone 20! To add to it, the seat belts don't snap back so if anyone were to have an accident Jucy would be liable. The condition of the vehicle and the no notice is disgraceful and embarrassing.
Getting past the age and safety concerns, the vehicle itself was in a horrible condition. Some of the issues were as follows:
- There was weird noise coming from back when driving, sounded like a belt is about to snap
- Something smelt like it was burning (that shouldnt be) when engine is running
- Android auto doesnt connect half the time
- Drivers side rear door gets stuck and sometimes autolocks its self
- Passenger side rear door gets stuck
- Bed doesnt fold out properly
- Curtains are missing half there connection studs and are ripped
- Engine makes weird rattling noise
- Ventilation ducts broken
- Drivers side door doesn't stay open
- Rain leaks into the vehicle from the roof
- Heater doesn't work
- Passenger door rattles
- Multiple lights blown (Need high beam on to drive at night safely)
Jucy needs to remove that car from its fleet and set expectations while booking. Cutting the charge for hire in half (at minimum) should also be on the radar."

Pick up went great
The employee that showed us the vehicle, Vinny (I'm so sorry, I didn't ask the proper spelling and this Is most surely wrong), was extremely helpful and patient, explaining every single feature in detail multiple times (we are slow learners). Especially the automatic drive which is new for us.
Also the facility is located in a nice area, close to a supermarket so it's very convenient to go there right after to stock up before starting the trip. And there is not much traffic so you can ease into the new driving style (both automatic and on the lift).
Overall everything went great but the highlight was definitely the personal support and assistance we recieved

Mould/damp stink
High mileage car (~380k km) that has a stink of mould/damp that we can't get rid of even with a Repco smelly. Friends could smell it as we pulled up.
I don't think there is a panel that isn't dented or scratched.
It was cheap, but the above along with the pickup issues I think I'd spend more next time.

They steal money without saying what they are taking them for.
It’s been 10 days since we returned the car and they are still trying to steal money from my card. After we dropped off the car they charged me twice the same day for tolls and that’s borderline ok since they did not say a word about any additional charges at drop-off. But still you’re trying to get more money 10 days after the car has been returned? You guys are nasty.

jucy is so so good.
1. the gas bottle door has been broken from starting. it can not close, because its lock parts was broken. so, I taped it all through my trip.
2. kitchen sink glass cover cannot keep opening. it closes gradually.
so, I taped it to wall.
