Not a scam, just terrible customer experience
They sell good wine, at reasonable prices - but I’d strongly recommend ordering online elsewhere from the many options out there. I realised at checkout that there was a note confirming that next day delivery wasn’t possible due to holiday - but this was ok as the date committed to was in time for the event I was ordering the wine for. This day passed with no communication despite me chasing an update. Two days later they cancelled my order without checking if this is what I wanted, and were then unable to reinstate it. The refund then took over 48 hours. I put the order back through on the promise of a free apology bottle. My order was delivered without the free bottle. When I complained they said that this “offer” was unavailable with the new customer 10% discount. At one point when I had received no communication and I checked the reviews, I genuinely thought this was a scam website and started speaking to my bank about how to recover the money. It turns out it isn’t - they just can’t fulfil orders on time and their customer service is dreadful. Real shame.
