Dave, Josh, and Blake do a great job breaking private lending down into a real process. It’s not hypey, it’s not vague, and it’s definitely not presented like some easy-money shortcut. They teach you how to evaluate the borrower, the deal, the collateral, the documents, the draw process, and the downside risk in a practical way.

What I appreciated most is how conservative and protective the training is. They’re constantly reinforcing that your job is to protect principal first, verify everything, and trust the process instead of getting rushed by a borrower or distracted by a high return.

The curriculum is detailed, but it’s also very practical. I feel like I now have a much clearer framework for looking at private lending opportunities and knowing what questions to ask before money ever leaves my account.

If you’re serious about learning private lending the right way, I’d highly recommend Just Be The Bank.

The 2.5 day workshop was exactly as advertised. The Stech Family knows this stuff inside and out. As much as I liked the recorded curriculum and assessments, I really enjoyed the Q & A sessions. And so far, the coaching calls have been very helpful! Highly recommend Just Be The Bank to anyone wanting to learn how to start or scale a private lending business.

The JBB workshop this past weekend gave me insight, structure, and helped me set goals for my upcoming venture as a private lender. The extreme attention to detail by Dave, his sons, and his team made the information provided digestible and gave a clear picture into the world of private lending. Here are my pointers on what I thought the JBB workshop did masterfully:

Organization: The structure and order that things were presented made everything easy to understand. The subjects had a natural progression that made each section beneficial, and as someone with little experience in this, the structure of the presentations gives a great picture on where to start and what my steps are (in order).
Content: The content provided, specifically the videos, don't waste anybody's time. They are clearly revised, well-scripted, and flow naturally. Although this might not be the most fun topic to some, the clear presentations make taking notes, understanding the information, and gaining insight into a new topic very rewarding.
Attachments: Dave and his team graciously attach templates and copies of documentation that they use. Apart from having a clear guide, I also get the documentation necessary to take my first or any step I need. It helps any JBBer gain structure and instant help in any phase they may find themselves.
"No BS": Dave and his sons go straight to the point, in the videos and during the live sessions. There is absolutely no intent to waste time with irrelevant questions, strange scenarios, or chit chat. You are there to learn and you cleared your schedule for this; they have no intention of disregarding that.
Honesty: The content provided is exceptional, but Dave and his sons can't cover everything. It makes it clear that unique challenges will be presented throughout one's time as a private lender. They provide an exceptional framework to follow, but it's up to you to put in the sweat equity.

On a more personal note, and slightly less related to JBB. Listening to Dave in JBB and through the Rainmaker program has been a pleasure. I'm 28 and the wisdom, kindness, and insight shared by Dave cannot be understated in shaping my 2026 and my future. His outlook, extreme intentionality, data drivenness, and love has struck me deeply. I have absolutely no intention of squandering the advice and wisdom that has been shared with me. I am very thankful!
