Kaiser sub-contracted the installation of the cooker hood to Kaboodle who sent a team of 3 people. Unfortunately they were unable to complete the installation. They took the old cooker hood off of the wall and fixed the new one in it's place, they connected the existing electrical supply but were unable to connect the exhaust ducting so I was left with a unusable appliance. I had to get the ducting connected using a combination of the existing plus the Kaiser supplied ducting, along with fitting a gasket that Kaboodle hadn't fitted correctly and source some screws that were missing and fitting them. I need to make clear that I had already agreed to get the stainless steel chimney (not shown in the picture) cut to size myself as they wouldn't do it but not all of this additional ducting work. Apparently, my ceilings are considered low by Kaiser/Kaboodle - they are 2.4M which is pretty normal in my understanding. Also, the team don't use dust sheets, hoover, dustpan or anything to protect the environment or to clean up after themselves and left masonry dust all over my hob.

Dissatisfied with unprofessional Installation: The vent connected to the chimney (Circled in green on below photo) was not installed professionally, therefore the performance of the hood does not work effectively. While we agreed to adjust the telescopic column ourselves during the tiling phase due to sizing concerns, the technician failed to use the required conduit adaptor, instead opting for masking tape as a temporary solution. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Replacement cooker hood installation. They just put the new one on, I understand that's their standard practice. They could have taken one step further and check on the existing vent duct to see if it is optimally installed by and at least let the user know that something can be done to improve the function of the new hood, but they didn't.

Kaiser use 3rd party installers who are quick to do the job and run away. We've had issues from Day 1 and the installer is not interested in coming back to have a look. Kaiser can't control these 3rd party installers.

The installation was accomplished efficiently by the engineer and the remnants of the previous extractor fan were removed as requested, leaving the area clean and ready for operation.

We paid £105 for the installation service. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - THESE INSTALLERS ARE NOT COMPETANT ELECTRICIANS. I would strongly recommend that you engage your own electrician to do the installation. The "installers" turned up on the appointed day and that's about as much credit as I can give them. When they removed the existing cooker from the wall (see photo of new cooker in situ) they told me that as there was not a 13amp fused power supply available they could not install the new oven. They told me to arrange this with my own electrician as they were not qualified to do it, and then rearrange a new installation visit. My electrician duly came and fitted the requisite 13 amp fused supply in less than an hour. He then spent about 30 minutes installing the new oven. He charged me less than the original installation fee paid to Kaiser. I sought a refund of my original installation fee from Kaiser but they declined to do so.
