Helpful, knowledgable, good quality at the right price
The Kala Kendar staff where immediately helpful and attentenive (But not overbearing). After I made my order, they checked in with me to review the exact instrument they would ship and make sure everything was right. They shipped to the US and everything arrived in perfect condition. The instruments and hardware are very good quality.

Bought Shruti Box S1 Pro
Shruti Box S1 Pro. G to G Octave A432Hz tuning. Very pleased with my Shruti box. Good craftsmanship and the sound is excellent. Shipping to Scotland from Canada took just a week. Customer service at Kala Kendar was friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

Very good service from Kala Kendar, wish my luck was better though
Very good service from Kala Kendar. Arrived on time and well packaged. Bought a tabla case for my dayan (very nice case) a set of bayan pegs (love them - nicely made large diameter that are hard to find) and a narayan badya 6 inch tabla head. The head was very well made, fit perfectly and looked great. I would have selected it myself if I was choosing from several. Unfortunately it doesn't sound very good. That's the risk we take when we put a new head on a drum. They can look great, no defects and you just never know until you install it. It was quite expensive, more than I ever paid for a replacement head so I feel dissapointed but in no way fault Kala Kendar. Should have just bought a new drum as I often do becasue I hate the risk involved with changing heads. They very rarely sound as good as a head made on the shell itself. Overall satisfied with Kala Kendar as i always have been. Just wish my luck had been better!
