Bad business
The smaller skin was used. When I took to have the skin installed. They said the smaller skin was too small.The bass skin was missing black tar like substance in the middle and was also too small also. A friend who ordered from the same company had a bad experience as well. For someone who is inexperienced I was not advised properly. They were more interested in the sale than advising or making sure I ordered the right thing.

We can be reached at info@kalakendar.com or by calling 416 - 463-3111, the information is listed on our website and all the emails we send out during your order process. We offer complimentary customer support for all most anything you purchase on our site; shipped directly by us. In most cases we can also trouble shoot the issues you’re having remotely; avoiding the costs of shipping it back to us. The difference purchasing from a local music shop and big box online store; our business is run by musicians for other musicians. I would suggest if you’re having an issue with your purchase; please come to us first so we may assist and try and resolve the problem you’re having.
It seems like there are some half-truths being said and perhaps you need to vent out your frustrations on someone. We were always willing to resolve the issue you're facing, but since you've made a false accusation towards us, it needs to be addressed. First off; the sizes of the drum heads which were shipped to you; are per your order, You had ordered a 6" and a 9" which should also be marked on your drum heads shipped, please also review you e-invoice emailed to you. Now if you've measured incorrectly; that's something out of our control, however we also have a measuring guide online to help customers who are "inexperienced". Plus if you're still not sure, why didn't you just give us a call to help you determine the correct size? As for the "black tar" you never ordered any dholak masala...so it was never shipped to you. More importantly; Any experienced installer knows that Dholak Masala CAN NOT be preinstalled on the drum head prior to fitting/wetting it.
Lastly, and I find this almost laughable; we don't use or have high pressured sales people to sell drum heads. We're musicians for other musicians our time is dedicated towards the promotion of Indian music everywhere. There is no record in our system that you called, not even an email advising you on what to purchase; other than the email you sent to us stating that "shipping prices are too high".
A very nice harmonium
A very nice harmonium. Tuning is excellent. A 10 inch visible crack on the board just below the keyboard is a bit disapointing. Otherwise a very nice instrument.

I just received the items I ordered today and it was exactly the correct size. I am very happy with the service. Kala Kendar Music contacted me several times about the other drum head I need but they didn't have the size in stock as it was an odd size. I recommend them for hard to find ethnic instruments. Also impressed with the quality of the drum head I did get.
