Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to receive a negative review, especially as it comes in the midst of our ongoing efforts to resolve your concerns through email, telephone, and WhatsApp communications.

We understand this arose when Qatar Airways denied boarding to one child due to passport validity requirements for a Nepal on-arrival visa (less than 3 months remaining). As a result, an adult chose to accompany the child, leading to a no-show for those two passengers on the onward journey, which unfortunately made that portion non-refundable under the airline's policy.

Throughout, our team communicated via phone, WhatsApp (while you were at Heathrow and after arriving in Kathmandu), and email to explain the options. We advised on speaking with airline staff at the airport for all but possible option but it did not worked. So post the travel dates we seek approval from Qatar Airways for allowing the re-issuing for non-used segment for those travellers denied boarding at London Heathrow. Once approved, we confirmed the applicable reissue charges, including any fare difference, plus no-show penalty and admin fee.

We regret if any of our communications caused confusion or added to your frustration, and we sincerely apologise for that. Your experience has highlighted that needs clarity during challenging situations.

We're glad we've now been able to resolve this directly with you, including assisting with rebooking for the remaining family members, and we appreciate your understanding and patience in learning that airlines have strict policies about no-show and our efforts to get resolution to reissue the ticket.

I am sure you accept our proactive customer service both while you were stranded at the airport and after part of the family member reached Nepal and assuring our best support at all times compared to those online and offline travel agents.

If there's anything more we can do to help, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you Kandala Travels for all your efforts and support with our Scotland trip. We did enjoy every minute of our 7 day trip. Firstly the 9-seater van was in excellent condition and was very comfortable. The tour guide, Mr. Kamaljit SIngh ji, was much more friendly and helpful than anything else in the tour. Mr. Kamaljit Singh ji was very polite, considerate and helpful at all times. The accommodation at all stops was clean, neat and comfortable. The food served as per the itinerary was also very good and delicious. We missed a couple of attractions, but that was entirely due to our time keeping. Overall we enjoyed the trip in every bit and will surely recommend to family and friends. Lastly but by no means the least, we appreciate the time and efforts put in by Deepu to make our trip a grand success. Thank you.

Thanks for arranging the trip to Devon Cornwall

Thanks for arranging the trip to Devon and Cornwall for 3 days as private tours. We really enjoyed the trip. Although, visiting the places in the itenary , we felt like we were rushed and in a hurry. We needed more time to explore the places. Maximum time we got for each place is like 1 Hour. Accommodation in Leonardo Hotel Plymouth was extremely a remarkable experience with complimentary breakfast included. But for the dinner I think seats could have been reserved for the entire group in one table instead of separate tables. The food was really good, but it was a long wait for food and water.

Driver Ravi, was so friendly and helpful.

Lack integrity and can rip you off if not careful

I did a last minute booking for the 3 days glimpse of Scotland trip and was one of the worst mistakes i did in a long time! First of all they wanted me to pay adult fare for my 12 year old child and with extreme difficulty and persuasion they considered as child with bed! They are saying 12 year is adult everywhere and ofcourse they had to pay only child ticket for her everywhere!
Pros: The hotel we stayed in Glasgow was alright and the Ben Nevis cable car experience was good! The dinner was good for one night and visited the Harry Potter bridge!
Cons: The trip wasn't well timed or planned seamlessly! Most of the time was spend on looking for way to get a parking or waiting for the tour admin to get tickets! And when we go to any places we were given just 5 mins or 15 mins and rushed without sometimes even seeing what we paid for, especially at the Edinburgh castle! And he even says that we will be left behind if we are late but we have waited for the admins to come back on bus for half hour plus! We missed few spots even though it wasn't really our mistake it was put on the people travelling!
In addition I had bad experience trying to cancel as my daughter got unwell and they have policy of taking all money if it's a day before! After much talking the director was okay to give as much he can but he mentioned he had less passengers that trip and will consider if anyone can be replaced! I didn't want to loose such a huge amount! Later morning I got a mail asking for medical certificate for any reimbursement and they know we don't have that for sickness a while back! So basically they tacticallly didn't want to reimburse! And more over the main thing that I hated was personally making us feel bad for sales persons time talking to me which basically was to consider a child as a child! Their integrity is pretty bad in my experience even though they hit some booking they did not help! And yes he even collected 1£ each for the Harry Potter bridge visit!(felt very petty)

So if you have option to travel on your own or friends place to stay or travel with always consider that option if freedom of time to see and enjoy the place is priority along with saving some money!
I am writing a detailed review as others don't get into trouble and loose if this not what they are looking for!

We note that over the past two years, you’ve frequently inquired us about last-minute bookings, often seeking significant discounts or cancellations with reasons we couldn’t verify. Again when making booking you held one of team member on hold for 1.5 hours past our office closing time, still we patiently answered all your questions while you were constantly bargaining to get maximum discount on your booking.

However, we’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the Glasgow hotel accommodation on our tour, the Ben Nevis cable car, one of the dinners, and the visit to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (commonly known as the Harry Potter Bridge). However, we’re sorry the trip did not fully meet your expectations.

On the matter of pricing for your 12-year-old daughter, our policy, clearly stated on our website, classifies children aged 12 and above as adults for most tours, as we are charged adult rates for certain tour components. After extensive negotiations from you, we made an exception by accommodating your request charged your daughter with a bed at a reduced rate. We aim to be transparent about all costs, though it is clearly published on the site and regret any misunderstanding.

Regarding the itinerary, we acknowledge that logistical challenges, such as traffic jams on M8, coach parking and ticket collections, can occasionally disrupt schedules. Specifically, at Edinburgh Castle, the ticket printing machines were down for nearly 30 minutes, an issue beyond our control. The castle staff joined our tour manager to personally apologize to the group for this delay. Despite this, we’re sorry you felt rushed during the visit. Time limits are set to keep the group on track, but we’re actively reviewing our planning to enhance pacing and communication. We also note that our tour manager observed your daughter enjoying the tour, and we’re glad she was able to participate fully despite your initial concerns about her health.

Concerning the £1 fee for the Glenfinnan Viaduct visit, this optional stop, not part of the standard itinerary, required a contribution to the National Trust for Scotland, as explained by our tour leader before we take you to the attraction, who provided receipts for the proof of the payment. Rest all group did not raised any concerns and contributed their share. If you are not happy to pay this you should have remain seated in the coach while we parked at the attraction to save your £1 and avoided visiting this attraction. We’re sorry if any staff interactions made you feel uncomfortable.

On your cancellation request, our policy requires a medical certificate for refunds within 24 hours. Without documentation, we couldn’t process your last-minute cancellation request, despite your claim of your daughter’s illness, followed by a different explanation regarding her condition. Our director explored options, but this wasn’t feasible due to the last-minute nature of your request, made just hours before departure. We regret any perception of unfairness; our goal is to balance policy adherence with customer care.

Your feedback about our communication has been shared with our team to ensure more empathetic and professional engagement. Regarding your request for a home drop-off, our fixed drop-off points are designed for efficiency and fairness, and we couldn’t accommodate a deviation.

While we strive to accommodate our customers, we must maintain consistent policies. We have retained all relevant WhatsApp and email communications for clarity.

To address your experience, we’d like to offer a 10% discount on a future multi-day tours , subject to availability, as a gesture of goodwill. We value your feedback and hope to provide a better experience moving forward.

Big No for kandala travels

Recently we picked kandala travels for a 3 day Scotland trip from 24th Aug to 26th Aug , we had a horrible experience with Bus amenities

Air conditioning inside the bus is stopped working from 2nd day of the trip for back half of the bus and we felt suffocated and nauseous through out the trip

Toilet inside the bus was smelling very bad throughout the trip which is added to the lack of air condition

Bus driver was rude and he was rushing and scolding the passengers throughout the bus for later coming into bus for few minutes . We were travelling with our aged in-laws so they had to rush all the time for toilet breaks.

Food experience: breakfast provided are not indian and have very less options for vegetarians

We were given 30 mins time for picking lunch all the days and 10 min toilet break which was hard to meet this timelines if queues are very big
We didn't had a proper lunch for 3 days and we travelled with our 3 year old kid who became cranky because of lack of proper food

Dinner : first day dinner was ok but the second day we were taken to a new restaurant around 10 that restaurant was packed with other bus tourists (3 bus people) we had to wait till 11 and queues are very big and bale to eta around 11:30 and most of the food items are finished we adjusted with remainings

No shopping time for souvenirs long hours journey without air conditioners

In conclusion, I would strongly advise against booking any tours with Kandala Travels. It was a thoroughly disappointing and frustrating experience, and I believe it would be a grave mistake to entrust them with your vacation plans. Save yourself the energy and frustration and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and relaxing travel experience. Kandala Travels is a big NO

Scotland cities and highlands tour at it best.

I took 4 days Scotland trip and it was very good experience with kandala travel. Hotel accomodations and Restaurants selected are too good. We covered all your itinerary. Fortunately weather was good to explore Scottish high lands. Also we covered Lake district, Glasgow, Edinburgh city.
One down side of the tour I felt was timing. It was struggle to follow timing throughout the tour.
Overall I was good experience and would recommend this tour.
Special Thanks to Pramod who leaded and guided the tour very efficiently as he could. He provided all the information about each tourist spots. Glengoyne Distillery visit he managed was very good experience

We are very happy with the way Kandala…

We are very happy with the way Kandala travels arranged the Cornwall & Devon trip for us in the Easter weekend few days back. Below are the points that are recognized and highly appreciated.
1. Our hotel accomodation was upgraded to a 3-star hotel and the rooms were very comfortable, hygienic and clean. Hotel staff was very supportive.
2. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast arranged for our tour when cold breakfast was initially planned.
3. We also got a chance to stop and see the iconic Stonehenge which was not in the itenary, so was a very pleasant surprise to all of us.

Overall Experience was very good !!

We recently made a trip to Devon and Cornwall, we really have had an good arrangements through travels, with 3 star hotel and indian dinner. Driver and tour leader was good and supportive to the customers and especially helping them when needed. But this time he was very friendly and suggestive. On the way back driver and tour leader also covered Stonehenge which was not in the itenary. I would definitely recommend this travels to friends and families.

Need's Tweaking:
This time dinner was arranged with one of the srilankan restaurant, food was okay, which couldn't match our taste buds. But last time when I made a trip with kandala travels food was really good, we were expecting something similar.

Kandala Travel is a joke company

Kandala Travel is a joke company. They do not read the travel brief you give them. You advise them and they come back with more mistakes. Eventually, I found a return flight which suited me. Only then did they indicate I had a booking.
The next issue was after paying electronically, they emailed to say my payment had not arrived. I checked with my bank, and the payment had been made, despite their scam alerts, which I overrode. Kandala Travel's accounts dept never once picked up my calls.

Then I spent almost 2 hours chasing a booking reference or e-tickets. Promised return calls were not forthcoming. Twice I was put through to Himanshu, only to get a voice mail! Same story when 'put through' to the manager!

Now, 1 hour 10 minutes (!!!) from take-off, they email to tell me they will email tickets in 5 minutes. How can I get to the airport, clear security and board an Amsterdam flight with that schedule?
I HAVE SEEN THE KANDALA TRAVEL REPLY. HERE IS THE BRIEF I GAVE THEM AT 10.29 WEDNESDAY MORNING:
Good morning.

I wonder if you can assist me?

We are trying to get to Odda in Norway (between Bergen and Oslo) for a music event this coming weekend. Specific timings are 8pm local time Friday night and 11am Saturday. To add to the complexity, I need to be back, not to Glasgow, but to Liverpool by 1pm on Sunday.

Either 2, or 4 people (TBC before you close tonight) will be travelling from Glasgow, returning here, although, as indicated, I will return via Liverpool (probably on Monday). We could travel Thursday evening or Friday early, returning either Saturday evening/Sunday morning, as indicated. Accommodation also required as necessary.

Due to your update review, below we reply has been updated.

After going through your review, we have investigated internally and found the following:

1. Your enquiry received through online chat and email on Wednesday, 13 Sep 2023 without any specific dates just mentioned days and our reply was not suitable more you are not decided to buy 2 or 4 tickets.

Our team has suggested an indicate itinerary looking your destination city's nearest airport.

2. Based on our suggestion you have picked and then mentioned travel dates today late morning hours.

3. We have given all suitable flight options with relevant prices.

4. From the given options, you have selected going out option but again return option was not suitable to you.

5. Today afternoon at 12:44pm we have given few other options and you have chosen a flight which is just 4hrs to schedule departure.

6. We have received an email at 14:07pm stating that you have made a payment and after checking with our accounts we confirmed that payment not received yet.

7. At 15:42 we have received payment and confirmed that your booking is in process for ticketing and assured you that you will receive e-ticket copy along with airline PNR to check-in.

8.After issuing E-ticket we have emailed to you e-tickets around 16:00 but received an email from you around 16:12 that you still have not received tickets and you were short of time to check-in.

9. Though we sent e-ticket, considering your time to check-in issue, we assured that we will speak to airlines to provide suitable alternative options to rebook.

10. Since then we have been trying to reach you to rebook alternative flights and sent emails with other alternative flights.

Kindly respond to either our phone calls or emails to resolve the issue.

We took the 3 days tour to Scotland in…

We took the 3 days tour to Scotland in kandala travels.
The entire tour was well planned and executed. All the view points included in the iternary plan are covered.
Surprisingly we were also taken to Harry Potter Scenic Train which was not part of iternary plan.
The tour manager Mr.Ruthresh was very patient and informative. The accommodation in Glasgow was good and the indian food(for dinner) was excellent.
Overall a super trip, worth the money spent.
Thanks Pramod for organising such a amazing trip and guiding us the viewpoints in scottish highlands. I would strongly recommend Kandala travels for everyone.

Disappointed travel experience with Kandala

I recently embarked on a trip with Kandala Travels to Cornwall and Devon from the 26th to the 28th of August, and I must say it was one of the most subpar travel experiences I have ever had. Here's a rundown of the myriad disappointments we encountered:

1. **Lack of Basic Amenities**: The journey began with disappointment as the bus lacked even the most basic amenities. There was no WiFi, no refreshments or water facility, and no toilets on the coach. For a modern travel agency, this is simply unacceptable.

2. **Inept Tour Manager**: Instead of a knowledgeable tour guide, we were stuck with a tour manager who had no clue how to guide us or manage the group. He failed miserably in ensuring that the trip adhered to the promised timings.

3. **Unreliable Itinerary**: The itinerary was a complete mess. It kept changing without any explanation or consultation. Promised destinations like Torquay were replaced with Plymouth, and the highlight for some, Minack's Theatre, was entirely skipped. Instead of Newquay beaches, we were taken to Tintagel Castle, a place not mentioned in the original itinerary.

4. **Rushed Sightseeing**: The majority of our time was spent on the coach, and when we finally reached our destinations, we were given a mere 1-1.5 hours to explore before being rushed back to the bus. Even meal times were restricted to a paltry 30 minutes.

5. **Incompetent Tour Manager and Commentary**: The tour manager displayed a shocking lack of knowledge about the places we visited and provided minimal entertainment or information during the journey. The commentary was nonexistent, leaving us feeling completely in the dark about the sites we passed.

6. **Dreadful Dining Experience**: One of the low points of the trip was the dinner at Cinnamon Gardens, Plymouth. We were treated rudely, the food was of poor quality and excessively oily, and there was no distinction between vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Utensils were unclean, and we had to repeatedly request basic items like spoons and tissues.
Their behavior was far from accommodating, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we stepped in. This was in stark contrast to the treatment provided to another group, the supposedly prestigious "Star Tour" group, who were received with politeness and humility.
To add insult to injury, the manager of the restaurant imposed a strict 30-minute time limit on our dinner, essentially rushing us through the meal. This abrupt approach was justified by the impending arrival of the "Star Tour" group, but it only made us feel like second-class citizens or, worse yet, beggars.

7. **Pickup and Drop Point Hassles**: Although our pickup experience was punctual and smooth, the promised drop-off points evolved into a harrowing ordeal. The tour manager, to our dismay, conveyed that the driver couldn't continue due to his working hours being exhausted. Regrettably, the travel agency displayed a shocking lack of preparedness by failing to arrange an alternative driver or vehicle to ensure our safe return.

This situation forced us to escalate matters considerably. Our group had to engage in a protracted battle, resorting to emails as our calls to Mr. Pramod remained unanswered, compounding our frustration. It was only when we were compelled to mention the possibility of involving the authorities, specifically the police, that the travel agency finally took action to provide the appropriate and necessary arrangements.

8. **The Sole Bright Spot**: The only positive aspect of the tour was the driver, who drove safely throughout the trip.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise against booking any tours with Kandala Travels. It was a thoroughly disappointing and frustrating experience, and I believe it would be a grave mistake to entrust them with your vacation plans. Save yourself the energy and frustration and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and relaxing travel experience. Kandala Travels is a big NO.
Update:
I booked my ticket a week before on 18 Aug 2023. The itinerary I received differed from others, and we were only informed of changes by the tour manager when the trip commenced, with no prior notice. We weren't told that the tour leader was only responsible for operations and not guiding.
I can't say for others but my group didn't abuse the operational tour leader, but we felt helpless as management decisions were opaque.
My group was punctual but had to wait 1.5 hours for latecomers.
We weren't informed that the Indian buffet was high in demand. The restaurant's pressure didn't justify rude behaviour.
We were dropped at Wembley Tower instead of CT stop, we took the bus on our own and didn't took the cab facility which was provided only after causing us stress for 2 hours without any apologies.

Thank you for booking with us. Kindly note this coach tour original offer is with 2 star with cold packed breakfast. But we upgraded to a 3* with hot breakfast.

1. We have not promised these amenities or refreshments or water facilities in our coach in inclusion section on our package.
Regarding Toilet, Cornwall and Devon usually operated in minibus and however due to the group size we have used midi bus and all types of Midi buses will not have Toilets on board. Any how we have not promised the toilet on board facilities

2. At the time of the booking and during the tour, the tour leader clearly declared that this is scenic tour we do not provide any tour guide facilities unlike our Scotland tours.

3. As your tour leader explained due to the size of the coach we can not access the Torquay beach hence he has offered Plymouth beach. With regards to Minack Theater, we clearly mentioned that at the time of the booking, after and during the tour due to coach size restrictions we were unable to take you as the valley is inaccessible.

An alternative option was a long walk on side of the road and for your own safety the tour manager offered 15mins taxi facility from Land's End, if you complete Land's End within given time but as you and other group members returned so late and there is no way we could even do Minack Theater.

FYI., on 27th Aug 2023, Minack Theater is closed for general admission due to a performance and one must purchase an entrance ticket for the show. Even then since you all shouted on tour leader and our back office operations Manager. Since Minack Theater is not accessible we offered Tintagel Castle which one of the beacutiful ruined castle in Cornwall and there also group has taken more than 1 hr extra resulted in driving restrictions.

Any group tour due to the legal driving restrictions we have limited time. Moreover the itinerary is not elaborative to cover all attractions in details otherwise this will be 7-8 days tour.

Regarding a meal, due to bank holiday weekend, the tour leader clearly mentioned that Indian buffet dinner is on huge demand by many tour operators hence the restaurant restricted us for 30-45mins only. During that night we have our own 2 groups and other operators so you can imagine how busy is our restaurant partners to accommodate more than 500 guests on any particular night.

5. As we clearly mentioned Tour leader is only responsible for operational and he is not guide. We declared this at the time of booking and during the tour as well.

6. I am sorry for your discomfort at the restaurant and as our restaurant partners they fairly treat any guests from any tour company. You may be offended due to time slots of the group but as we explained above the demand of Indian food by Asian tour operator put any restaurant company under so stress.

7. As per the law any professional driver can only drive max of of 9hrs including their driving legal breaks. On the day 3, at the Tintagel Castle group delayed by 1hr 15mins resulted in driving extra is not possible. Due to delay, your tour leader and driver while coordinating with back office team and Operations Manager Mr. Pramod, the entire group is tried to reach him and it is impossible for one person to answer all of your calls. While we write this reply, we did check with our operational team and even some of you threat your tour leader too and abused him.

Though the group do not have legal options for your delays of returning coach resulting in drop off, as good will gesture we offered taxi facilties and not even a courtesy of 'thank you' from any of the group members.

We hope this will clarify all your concerns and look forward to serve you again.

Bad experience

Bad experience. Unprofessional staff.
Went to Durdledoor in April. Could not see the main arch there because of the misguidance by their staff. We were directed into wrong direction and then they told that the main arch got washed away last month which was the most stupidest thing to say by someone in the profession. We had limited time of only an hour due to mismanagement by the staff and couldnt explore the location entirely.
They did not even admit to their mistakes and were covering up for their staff.
Decide to never take their services again and would not recommend anyone to take.

After the tour we have reached out to you and other two families who have misunderstood the person next to our tour leader.

As mentioned and apologized our coach Driver has parked in different location even after the correct postcodes were given in tour notes. That has led to extra time reaching out to the actual visiting one of the main day trip attraction on your tour i.e Bournemouth and Durdle Door trip.

Please note our tour leader was under pressure due to driver error and all guests were delayed to comeback to the coach in the given time.

As the delay is happened in finding right location, the other guests in the tour (who is not an employee of Kandala Travel not in our uniform), who completely mislead other guests resulted you could not reach the attraction.

With our sincere apologies to you and other guests who missed an opportunity to go close beach & the main arch, were offered vouchers including your family to redeem on our any of the products, flights, hotels, tours and other packages.

Once again please accept our sincere apologies and hope you will utilize the vouchers on your future bookings.
