I WANT TO ORDER BUT...

I called the toll free number on Sat evening and waited on hold for 26 minutes, never having the opportunity to speak with anyone.
Unfortunately the site does not include toll free hours of operation, so I’m not sure if anyone was even stationed on behalf of the company. I did memorize the melody they have on repeat while you wait. 😑
So I researched further, finding a direct number, in which the recording promised a call back... that was 24 hours ago, and it’s now Tuesday evening.
Very strange for a NW company to be lacking in prompt service. After all, Nike, Nordstrom and many other companies I love and trust come from there.
I hope I’m able to get assistance after writing this review. I’d love to order a sectional and a womb chair ASAP.

After 6 months searching

After 6 months searching, we purchased the Roche sofa Caramel Premium Leather. We were very nervous because the reviews were bad, but the product looked exactly what we were looking for. Bad reviews mostly related to customer service. We decided to move forward through Amazon, thinking Amazon would respond if kardiel did not. We requested swatches, within 2 days we go then for free.by the time we decided to buy, Amazon did not have the sofa we wanted so we continued with kardiel. Sofa came within 2 weeks in perfect condition. Did not purchase White glove service, but FedEx did an amazing job, the guy helped us. Look great. Will buy again kardiel products.

bad communication and frustrating experience

I ordered the protractor desk on January 4th. I was told it was on back order and set to ship on 1/25. Never heard from anyone and called on 2/1 and customer service said it would ship out the 8th. It did not ship out the 8th. I received part of my order on 2/27 but it was missing a large box. I finally received that box today 2/5/19. So all in all, 2 months from order to product being delivered. They also use a horrible shipping company (ceva) who schedule 4 hour delivery windows and were late BOTH times they delivered (since they forgot the one box on the first shipment). Kardiel, you have a great product, drop your shipping company and get better expected shipping dates.

Kardiel reached out to me and asked for me to remove my review for $200. I said I would not. Here is their email and my email response.

"Sometimes we drop the ball and things do not go as planned. We would like a chance to clean the slate. In exchange for you holding judgement on your previous experience with us, and removing your current review on trustpilot, we offer a $200 credit to give us another chance to prove that we can deliver a positive experience for you. If you are interested in accepting our olive branch, delete the review and reply to this email. I will credit your store account $200 for you to use however you please and we promise to do our best to give you an experience you can be proud to share.

No thanks. My review was written a year ago I believe. This took over a year to try and make This right? I don’t want a credit and all I was asking for was my product. Kardiel has some of the worst customer service I have seen in any industry. $200 doesn’t even come close to the frustration they caused. People should be aware of the kind of service they offer and I will keep my review on there. I will also continue to recommend to others to not use them for any reason at all.

Thank you for taking the time to review. I appreciate the fact that you think we have great products! That means a great deal to us, we are a small family company and we work really hard to produce a great product.

I wanted to review your communication and delivery concerns because those topics your were clearly not happy with.

You are correct, your order was on its way and experienced about a week delay arriving from the manufacturer. The arrival date is an approx time but still it should have triggered an update and looking back at your records I do not see one occurred. I'm getting with my purchasing team and tech department to figure out what had occurred and why you were not updated as per usual.

As far as not shipping out on the 8th of February, your order was ready to go but the shippers did not arrive. Why? Well it happens to be the same time Seattle received a record amount of snowfall and literally shut down. We are great with rain in Seattle but 11 inches of snow - nope we can't deal. Concerning the freight delivery, it is not convenient that the carrier had to return another day to deliver a box they missed delivering the first time. I've looked back through our records and located the customer service complaint you'd made and good news - our customer service team not only assisted and communicated with you but has already reported the issue to our shipping team to discussed with Ceva to review what took place on your order.

It's obvious that we could have done better, the extreme weather delay couldn't have been timed worse. The delivery company should have not had to return the next day to deliver the forgotten box. I certainly do apologize but in the end I am happy that you love the product and in the event you decide to give us another try - I've updated your customer record to reflect your shipping company preferences.

I ordered a desk from Kardiel and…

I ordered a desk from Kardiel and unfortunately, I had to cancel the order after a month of misinformation regarding items being in stock, cause of delays and delivery dates. Please take note that just because the website says "in-stock" does not mean that it is actually in-stock. I was told that I would receive calls within 24 hours and was never contacted. 3 days later still no contact. When the shipping date was pushed back multiple times and vague explanations of "storms" were provided it became apparent that Kardiel was not fully disclosing the facts and circumstances. Maybe Kardiel is a great company.. but my experiences was otherwise.

UPDATE: Thank you for the reply below. However I would highlight that i was informed today that the product would not ship till the end of next week. I can provide the chat transcript if it would be helpful. Also earlier today your website noted that the product had been in stock since Feb 6th. It appears to have now been changed since raising the issue earlier. Again...it is this misinformation that causes frustration.

Monroe sofa in analine leather

I purchased the Monroe sofa in analine grey leather online. It was just what I was looking for and looks very beautiful in my living room. The color is a standard medium gray, and looks very sleek.

The most important feature for us for our small living room was the shallow depth in the sofa. Many sofas out there look sleek but are very bulky, but this sofa was one of the shallowest we’ve seen (and we searched for hundreds!!), so was able to fit within our tight space. While it’s only 33”, it does not feel shallow at all when you sit on it. It’s very comfortable - you can sit upright without feeling like you’re too far forward, you can lounge without feeling like you’re leaning too far back, and it’s just the right height for crossing my legs (I’m 5’3” and my husband is 5’11”).

The purchase and delivery process were seamless. Delivery was prompt and without issues. The only thing is that it arrives all boxed up and the delivery people don’t unbox it for you. So it didn’t actually fit through my front door because it was still boxed up, so they left it in my garage. And I eventually had to unbox it and move it in myself. But not a super big deal.

I was super nervous about ordering furniture online, but all in all I’m glad I took a chance on this sofa! We are really enjoying it and would purchase it again!

One of The Few QUALITY Mid Century Replicas

I have several original mid century pieces and a few replicas. A few replicas look and feel cheap so no matter how inexpensive they were, they were a ripoff.

However, the womb chair from Kardiel is indistinguishable from the real deal, as I also own one.

I purchased Eleanor mid-century modern classic sofa to upgrade my living room. I'm truly happy I choose this sofa.. This sofa is very comfortable, high quality made and good price. Especially the leather is very good quality. It's very beautiful and you won't regret to get them. I highly recommend people to get it. They packaged very good without any damage.

Very happy with Kardiel chairs purchased

I recently purchased two Jackie Chairs in Top Grain Premium Soft Aniline Leather (Bolivarian Brown). I/we love the chairs. The quality of construction and the materials met the expectations set by the informative web site. These chairs will hold up to regular family use for many years to come.

I will offer some suggestions where Kardiel can do things even better.

One area of concern for making this purchase was the seat dimensions of the chair. The web site does not include this important measurement. It is available for the asking however. The chair has ample seat size beyond expectation.

The quality of the leather is amazing. I’d like to do my best to keep it this way. Leather care suggestions would be helpful.

While shipping concluded with minimal issues, there were some areas for improvement. The shipping company had the chairs in their local warehouse for days without contacting me to arrange a delivery time. I noticed this and called them to see what the delay was. They did not have my contact information beyond name and delivery address. The phone contact information did not reach them for some reason. Also once the delivery truck arrived the driver indicated that they are to remove the chairs from the crates but don’t have the tools to do so. Better description of the shipping process and the crate size and materials would be very useful as would be a true “white glove” delivery service option.

All things considered I love the chairs and would not hesitate to order from Kardiel again and I have already recommended Kardiel to others. In fact the chairs speak for themselves. All one needs to do is try them!

Great line, great workmanship, great value!

Their line is great, affordable, and the workmanship is first-rate. I ordered two Manta chairs and one Le Corbusier recliner - absolutely beautiful. I was particularly impressive with the craftsmanship and finish on the tubular chrome frame of the recliner. Flawless workmanship that I would have expected in a much more expensive item. Kardiel is the real deal! I'll be back!

Worst buying experience ever!

Worst buying experience ever!

I ordered a sectional worth $1500 and while the company was kind enough to keep my money with them asap even after a month I was told that it would take another week before I get it. I called after a week and I was told to wait another week. And I called today, and I've been told that it'll take roughly 2-3 weeks before I get my couch. Its disappointing how they've just not lived up to the promise of the delivery and for someone who just moved in to a new place - I have not even been able to host anyone. I would have not brought this couch had they told me from the start that it would have taken that long for them to deliver the couch. While the customer service reps were nice to talk to I do not believe that I got any accurate information from them and neither was I compensated for them being late.
Definitely not buying from them again in future. I'd rather buy from a company that has a product of relatively lower quality but lives up to their promises.

Would be cautious about buying from them - the experience is stressfull

I will start by saying that this is not a complaint about the furniture (sofa) and that the staff I dealt with was always professional and nice. The highlight of my experience and reason for the low rating is that the whole experience was riddled with over promising, not being truthful and acknowledging the shortfalls they have as a company. From the website not up to date when you place an order (they take your money but don't tell you that they don't have the item in stock), to not following through and you having to chase your order yourself. If that wasn't enough, we paid for "white glove" (inside deliver) and when our sofa finally shipped we were again promised a time frame that they could not deliver. It then became worse because the shipper they chose brought it to Denver and then decided that they could not do inside delivery to Durango. They (CEVA) called us to schedule the delivery appointment (on a Saturday) and then never showed up. We spent our weekend waiting and trying to find out what was going on, only to be told on Monday that CEVA had called Kardiel on Thursday and the owner told them to downgrade the shipment and not deliver it inside (without contacting the customer - us) and use a local shipper. I spent three days on the phone tracking down our sofa (because at first no one knew if it was still in Denver or had it gone to Durango), to finally get a call that it was in Durango from an extremely rude local shipper. They hung up on my husband, they were rude to me on the phone referring me back to Kardiel, stating that they don't do inside delivery and to take it up with the company I purchased it from. Kardiel did not take ownership during this time and it took my time away from work to deal with this, or the sofa would have been delivered too late for us to accept it. When it finally showed up, the local shipper drove into a tree (damaged it), was rude to a neighbor, and literally pulled the sofa out of their truck and let it fall on the ground. Thankfully there was no damage (Kardiel got lucky here). In the end, Kardiel's rep was nice, admitted that this was a mess and that they over promised throughout our experience, and offered us a $120 store credit. Considering the time I spent on the phone dealing with this during the 3 months experience, I have no intention of purchasing from Kardiel. Their products are nice, but be prepared to have a poor customer experience. My interactions ended with Kardiel offering to have their shipping rep contact me, which I said they can call me if they want, but of course they never did.

I recently bought a Kardiel sectional and it has refined my living room's decor beautifully!

I recently bought a Kardiel sectional sofa and am in love with it! I am crazy about the nubby, tweedy fabric, the tufting, the metal legs and the sofa's firmness. I find it extremely comfortable. The seat depth is too shallow for my husband, who is 6'8", but for average and even average/tall people it should fit perfectly. The sofa is mid-century, but would do well with other types of decor, as it is now a classic look. It really refines the look of my living room, and I love how sophisticated it is. Makes me want to have a cocktail party! I will definitely buy from Kardiel again.

I ordered the Iguazu bathtub faucet

I ordered the Iguazu bathtub faucet. It arrived within a reasonable time and was well packed with no damage. However, it was very difficult to comprehend the direction and put the faucet together because of the tight quarters for the water tubes to go into the stem from the floor. VERY difficult. And then, to fasten to the floor and get it right because the base support needs to be screwed in to determine positioning and then unscrewed to install and then reposition. I was so frustrated with the assembly and installation! Plus I had to get adapters for the faucet lines to connect to the waterlines which wasn't clear to me before I purchased. Also, they sent expansion screws for the base mounting and that wasn't what I needed. I just needed 3 inch screws to secure through flooring. Had to go buy them myself. I just hope they honor the warranty in the event that the cartridge goes bad or something else creates a problem. I really would not recommend this particular faucet because of the installation problems. I like the basic design and the swivel faucet head, but, directions are terrible and I had a terrible time with it.
