Deserves a zero star for service

Deserves a zero star for service. It was our first and last time at the Kashmir Grill. Went there to celebrate 2 birthdays. Wanted to support a local business and experience new food. We ordered and a bottle of tap water was put on the table. About 15 minutes later a stack of plates was put on the table along with a dish with 3 dates. The server said nothing. Two large groups came in as well as another party of 3. All of them received their food. After we had sat for an hour I went and told the manager that we were leaving. He said the food would be ready in 2 minutes. That made me think it must have been sitting in the kitchen for a long time. There was no apology for the total lack of service. I have no idea what the food tastes like and never will. If you want to go to a restaurant that ignores its customers this is the one for you

The manager seemed like a nice man

The manager seemed like a nice man, but the food was absolutely disappointing. I originally wanted beef biryani, but they told me they couldn’t serve it this was still 30 minutes before closing. Against my will, I went with chicken biryani and asked for medium spice (since I don’t like food that’s either too bland or too fiery).

What I got was basically a giant plate of rice with only 4 small pieces of chicken buried in it. Calling that “chicken biryani” is a stretch. The pile of rice is too spicy that I tried it with yogurt and water and yet couldn't have more than 2 spoon of it.

Flavor was off, portion balance was terrible, and overall it was a complete waste of money.

I even tipped 5% since it was my first time there, but honestly, $17 down the drain. Definitely won’t be returning, and will be leaving this review all over channels I have.
