I visited Kaspa's Desserts today at the Longwell Green branch and had a really disappointing experience.

I ordered a slice of blueberry cake, which was brought over warmed. Cake like that shouldn’t be served warm, so I sent it back and asked for it not to be heated. There was no apology at all. When the replacement arrived, it was dry, stale, and so hard I could barely cut through it, they obviously had heated it up to try and disguise the fact it was stale.

I asked the staff how long the cake had been on display, and was told it had been there for three days, which is honestly shocking and raises concerns about food quality and safety.

Although I did get a refund in the end, the staff were very rude throughout and didn’t offer any apology for the situation.

Overall, pretty shocking

Kaspas Longwell Green Bristol.Center of Discrimination.

I had a deeply upsetting experience at Kaspa’s Desserts in Longwell Green, Bristol, on 15 May 2025 between 19:17 and 19:37. My group and I were refused service while white customers around us were being served without any issue. We were ignored and treated with clear disrespect.

This was not the first time we’ve been treated unfairly here, but this time the discrimination felt blatant. It appeared to be based on our race and religion, which left us feeling humiliated and excluded.

I expected better from a national dessert chain in a diverse city like Bristol. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable. I hope Kaspa’s management will take this seriously and investigate how their staff are treating customers.

Until then, I strongly discourage others—especially people of colour or religious minorities—from visiting this branch.
