My wife and I have bought Kathmandu products for years and they used to have quality products for which you did not mind paying higher prices. However in recent times I have had shoes that fall apart,... See more

Very disappointed
Very disappointed, brought the Grangers wash + repel clothing 2 in 1 for my Kathmandu Waterproof jacket that was leaking like a siv, went over to their store in henderson to get sorted and they charged me $45.98 for it which I thought was excessive for a bit of waterproof liquid, then I see it at Rebel Sport for $32.99 for exactly the same product, 25% dearer at Kathmandu being used to repairing their waterproof jackets!!! which I thought was a bit of a a rip off. Will make sure I google before i buy next time but thought id highlight to warn others
First Order placed and Missing Jacket not in the Package Delivered
First Order placed and received but the main Kathmandu Epiq Mens Hooded Down Puffer 600 Fill Warm Winter Jacket Men's Puffer Jacket - Eddy/Meteor was not in the package and not delivered. Pretty Dissappointed ☹️ as it was a present.
Love shopping their Stuff.
Love shopping their Bottles, T shirts and Rain Wear Jackets from them....either via Newmarket Store or via Store in Henderson or via Click and Collect.... All of my experiences have been 5 stars.
Blatent greenwashing + other not to be trusted practices
Blatent green-washing "Kathmandu has pulled an advertisement for its $600 “biodegradable” BioDown puffer jacket following a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). " from article titled 'Are claims that a puffer jacket can keep you warm and help the planet too good to be true?' on NZ's consumer protection body website (consumer org nz)
Katmandu was already in my bad books when they refused to give me refund as I paid cash. I purchased a tent that was unused and still in original packaging and within 5 days of original purchase. The store manager said refund was only possible with Katmandu vouchers. Unacceptable.
Since that day I realised a once loved NZ business has lost its way.
Kmart has better quality outdoor gear
Their quality used to be ok years ago. But now all their products fall to bits within a month or two of regular use. They will not refund or replace since they blame all damages on the consumer not the poor quality of the items. Have given them several chances but the same thing keeps happening. I now have no trust in their brand and instead choose to support earth sea sky.
Click and Collect.
Mid January 2021. Purchased two items online for click and collect from the Timaru store. Items arrived 4 working days later, which is more than acceptable given the holiday period and delays due to covid. Was promptly advised of arrival and of the procedure to collect. Helpful staff, really easy process.
Kathmandu recommends scam travel insurance company World Nomads
As a loyal customer for the past 15 years, I have to say that I am very disappointed that Kathmandu recommends the scam travel insurance company World Nomads. I was scammed following your recommendation.
Most of my outdoor equipment are from Kathmandu which I bought in NZ and also in the UK during my big OE. Unfortunately, some of these items were stolen in Barcelona on 6 Jan 2020. Filed claim with World Nomads and they turned out to be a scam.
An absolute shame that my favourite outdoor goods company recommended scam travel insurance. Kathmandu should do some research before putting your name on the line - read the customer reviews on World Nomads (most of the good reviews are made by people who did not have to make a claim).
An absolute shame.
