Hi my name is Karen Bell.  KBC Creations Ltd is my dream, which I started in June 2026. As a counsellor and teacher, I create therapeutic stories and resources to help children of all ages understand feelings, navigate life changes and build confidence in who they are. Our younger children’s series, Stories for Life’s Big Feelings, follows Mia and Boo. Boo is Mia’s lovable purple “monster” who represents her feelings. He is not really a monster at all, he simply tries a little too hard to protect Mia when her feelings become big. Through stories, children can begin to understand what is happening inside them, learn that feelings are safe to feel and discover ways to talk about what they need. Children can even have their very own Boo! Alongside our individual books and resources, KBC Creations Ltd specialises in curriculum-aligned resources for schools, SEND provisions and professionals working with children. Our school and professional packs are designed to support meaningful conversations about emotional wellbeing, relationships, confidence, boundaries and the challenges children face as they grow. Coming soon is a new comic-style series for children aged 8+, covering the real-life experiences children may be navigating while still needing support with life’s big feelings: moving and starting new schools, making friends, fitting in, growing independence and coping with change in themselves and their families. The wider aim of KBC Creations Ltd is to help create a safer world in which children are valued, listened to and protected from abuse and neglect. We believe that learning can begin early: helping children know that they are important, that their feelings matter and that they deserve to be heard. Validating feelings, building self-worth and developing confidence can provide foundations that last throughout life. We have begun with our early-years resources and are currently introducing them to schools, starting locally and gradually reaching further afield.
