My very close friend has been using KCT for probate following her mother's death. They are absolutely atrocious and totally incompetent. They're keep repeating use this company as a trustee, we're saying that company has been declared bankrupt. This is only on example but they are so incompetent that I'm uncertain that they know what bankruptcy means.
KCT: A company that has been declared bankrupt no longer exists. It can't act as trustee because it doesn't exist.
Their level of total incompetence is surprising.
19/3/25 addition
Trustpilot is threatening to remove this review unless I provide my details to KCT. I have provided my name and email address.
I'm adding to this review. KCT don't feel that they have to explain their actions and repeatedly refuse to answer questions. Ask them questions to explain their actions and they ignore them. You have to remind them "You didn't respond to my question about ..."
KCT treat what you say with total contempt either not reading your emails or totally ignoring it. This is the issue with the bankrupt company that KCT is repeatedly directing to use as a trustee. Are they not reading emails repeatedly pointing out that the company is bankrupt or are so incompetent that they don't know what bankruptcy means?
KCT are bullying. Despite refusing to explain their actions, they state you have to do this which will cost these amounts. There is no choice and very little explanation.
Legal letters from KCT are not grammatically correct - they've not bothered to proof-read them to check that sentences make sense.
19/8/25 This is continuing - KCT continuing to be totally incompetent, failing to do what was agreed, failing to explain.
It's unfortunate that my friend doesn't take my advice and leave this shower. If it was me I would be trying to get them shut down, take action against them.

While our particular Probate case took over two years to finalize, I felt KCT, in particular SMS who was our Personal Estate Manager, kept us very well informed with monthly updates on progress, even if at times it felt there wasn't any. Every case is different, where we thought just one Probate application was required, it ended up being two, due to information discovered by KCT without going into specifics.
Being 3500 Miles away and a 5 hour time difference, we felt it easier for KCT and SMS to manage pretty much everything including the family house sale and the dreaded tax implications. Yes it cost extra but it was in my opinion worth it. I appreciate the time and effort put into our file by KCT and our Probate Manager SMS. Hopefully never have to go through this again, but I would definitely choose KCT if we did.

We started out at an absolute loss as to what to do about my late father's UK estate and Kings Court Trust was recommended to us. We reached out from New Zealand and connected with the most courteous and supportive, Joanna Coleman. From the very first communication through to the resolve, Joanna was completely professional but with such a personal approach. Joanna listened to our challenges and afforded us everything within her remit to help us reach our conclusion. She was so patient with us and her warm and friendly disposition was just wonderful to have when we were under such pressure. Joanna guided us in such a sensitive and personal way for which we are forever grateful. We can not recommend Joanna and her services highly enough, thank you Joanna for taking care of us.

King's Court Trust were very helpful in applying for a probate for my sister and I.
Any questions or answers we needed, they were there to help. I would recommend Kings Court Trust as they were so helpful, especially Aoife Croft, who was our contact there.

I am the executor of a multi million pound estate.
Do not touch them with a barge pole.
Look at their annual accounts which boasts that they boost their cash flow with your inheritance money to make profit and the bottom line.
That’s why they delay, don’t return calls, and are entirely unprofessional. Without your inheritance money in the bank they are bust
Stuart don’t bother emailing me when you see this as with all of their employees he only works half the week.

Probate came through very quickly. Isfal Hussein was very prompt and clear in providing advice. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend KCT to others.

The probate application was completed by 2 different strands of the company. I have to be honest and say that I was not entirely impressed with the Client Services first part of the process. However when it passed to the person (Aoife Croft) who completed the overall process and passed it to the Probate Service it was extremely smooth. Thanks to Aoife for her support.

I am currently extremely frustrated and losing sleep, due to this one employee of this company. When I agreed to employ their services I felt very confident in their professionalism and until the lady who was dealing with my sisters estate left the company in December 2024 that confidence was well deserved, but since then it has all but disapeared. I have changed my answer when people ask me if KCT is a company that I would recommend from a yes to a very definite NO.

I am very happy with the service I received. I contacted Kings Court about a month after my mum passed away, it was a very difficult and emotional time for me. I was so overwhelmed, there were so much things to sort out regarding my mum's estate and didn't know where to start. Many thanks to my Personal Estate Manager, Angela Thomas who made a difficult and emotional time easier to cope with and the process of managing my mum's estate seamless. Her professionalism, expertise and knowledge has been top notch. She regularly kept me updated on progress throughout the whole process and was very patient and always available to answer questions and give advice. I would highly recommend this company.

The service has been absolutely excellent from start to finish. Both advisers I spoke to (Corey and Wayne) were absolutely brilliant. The service was incredibly reasonably priced, and it was some of the best customer service I have ever received. I would definitely use them again and recommend to everyone I know.

Our Personal Estate Manager (Ifzal Hussain), was very responsive to requests for more information. We are in Australia which made the process difficult on a number of levels, and their were two Executors/Trustees he had to work with. It took 18 months for the process to be complete, but this seemed reasonable given the circumstances, and we are happy with the outcome.

As a family we used Kings Court Trust (KCT) because we were spread far and wide and we felt it best to have a central administrator from start to finish at such a difficult time following the loss of our father.
KCT helped us all the way through probate, selling a property and winding up our Dad's estate. They were very professional and kept to their contracted cost.
Winding up an estate of a loved one is time consuming and emotional. It was comforting to have a team to guide us through and a Personal Estate Manager as our point person.
We had a few issues in the beginning but KCT addressed them and continued to help us and deliver.
We had to change estate managers mid process due to unforseen circumstances but the replacement manager (LA) we were assigned was delightful; very helpful and empathetic and picked up the file details quickly and was able to move things forward expertly. We would thoroughly recommend her for her kindness and professionalism.
