TERRIBLE-MAKE SURE YOU READ BEFORE PURCHASE-
hired a marquee, projector and screen and spa for my
wife's birthday weekend surprise. Waited all day and at
7pm received a call to say the van broke down at mid
day and that they won't be delivering today. Could have
made other plans if they would have communicated
sooner. Birthday ruined. They came the next day at 7pm
despite the fact I made clear I have rescheduled plans
and it needs to arrive before 4pm. Ruined the next day
too. Then told ON ARRIVAL that they no longer allow
the spa to be placed inside the marquee as advertised
(see photo) due to problems with projector equipment
being ruined by others in the past. Spa sat out side the
marquee over 6 metres away from the projector screen
meaning a weekend of sitting in a spa in the rain when
the marquee was purchased for cover (see photo). The
spa also did not come with lights as advertised. I had
also overpaid by £68 which the company informed me
of, and I was aware of anyway - due to issues with the
setup of their website. I am still awaiting the refund
over 2 weeks later. Representative who has dealt with
my purchase spoke to the accounts department who
say they will refund when they get around to it. So
unprofessional. There was no offer of any solution and
feels as though now they have had my money off me l
am no longer of any importance. It is clear to me they
have no intention of refunding me and now the matter
has been passed to my legal representative. This has
been a terrible experience from start to finish. I will
continue to update on this review until the refund has
been made. AVOID! There are more professional, less
stressful and cheaper alternatives out there
Update: that fastest response I have had from this
company is when they responded to my totally
honest review. As they didn't like my review they
are now pretending that they owe me a refund of
£18.24 instead of the verbally promised and
emailed confirmation that I am owed the correct
sum of £68.48. (See attached email) Maybe this company would have
the decency to contact me directly and explain why
they are stealing my money? Still awaiting the
refund 15 days later.......
UPDATE: 31/8/21 - still awaiting the £50 refund which this company has promised to pay due to my overpayment. It has now been almost 2 months. No contact from any of the management team. Only contact is from the representative who claims to be new to the job and made a mistake in offering and agreeing to my refund. When my company offers a refund either as a mistake or not, we honour it. This is called good honest business. Details have now been passed to the ombudsman to review.
