Overcharged with no chance of refund (WHAT?!)

Purchased Premium for 30 days. During checkout, was told I would be charged $25.14, but was actually charged $36.69. Argued back and forth, trying to get a refund for the difference, but was only offered additional days. Support kept referring to the fact that the service was used being the reason for not refunding. Eventually devolved into them saying it was pretty much my fault that I wouldn't receive a refund because I used part of the data.

Avoid at all costs. They'll just charge you more than what you think with no way to fix it. Shady business practices aside, the performance received for Premium was kind of lackluster.

EDIT (For reply): Nice try. Was charged the conversion fee this morning. Doesn't change the fact that I was shown what I was supposed to pay, in USD, at checkout and was charged almost $15 more than that.

Their product is great

Their product has always been great. Their reliability and speed has always been superb. If you have a problem they get on the stick promptly. They compensate you for errors in their network very good. As they did in my case. That is why I have been a customer for years and will continue to do so. So use them as that helps us all.

Has gotten pretty bad

Not so great

After loosing access to my account because of a "suspicious activity" and after a very long struggle, I finally gained back access to my account.

1. I've been charged more for my subscription than it's advertised, and it's not because of convert rates or anything like that. ( I've only realised that when the support team asked for my receipt )

2. Even after all the struggle, the team wouldn't make a commercial gesture and just returned what I had left of my subscription before the issue ( and they only did that after I asked for it, else I would've just given them money for nothing. )

3. They're not open to discussion and are just doing the bare minimum.

Broadly speaking it's a good website, until you've got an issue.

Just like you can read an email in the application, or you can read it in the web version, this is de-facto a standard nowadays. The time in the screenshot is the time in our time zone, not yours. We have remote team, we work from different countries, with different time zones.

You are right, we have such a tool to protect your work from DDoS attacks. But we unblock users when they contact us.

You write that they answered you. Surely they asked you for your IP address in order to unblock it. If you did not send an IP address, then they will not be able to unblock you. I think our answers just ended up in SPAM. Check your spam, find out your IP and write your IP to us so that you can be unblocked.

Fast, friendly and efficient

Meeting a technical issue I sent a message to Keep2Share support center. I got very quickly a first answer asking me to describe more precisely the problem in order to solve it. The good and the not so good!

Credits to K2S for fast response to support mails. I went through the hassle of signing up for a year with a 10% free addition. I did not see it so support added the 10% free afterwards on my request. I however also noticed after downloading only 20GB of files my limit was reached (80GB limit). Support explained, even clicking a link of a 10GB video without downloading the video (like in visiting the page with a screenshot of the video where the actual download link is not pressed but where you could stream the video), or just stream a second of a 10GB video, would deduct 10GB from your balance. I'm glad K2C is not a bank. I would be bankrupt just for looking at my balance.

It does not come across as a mature service as it seems they have no ability to actually measure what you download. They just calculate the size of the files you "looked at" with or witouth downloading or streaming it.

Still happy with the service, just have to pay extra attention. This is not how i expected it to work at all. I requested them to give me some room for the day as i want to finish downloading what i bought it for today so let's see...

Thanks for your feedback, Ronny! Indeed, we take into account the tariff if you start watching a video, even if you watched 1% of the daily quota, 100% will be taken into account, but until the end of the day you can download the file repeatedly and this will not affect the daily quota.
You may be using download manager extensions. Extensions of this kind automatically request data from links on the page to determine the size and type of file; for a traffic accounting system, this looks like the start of a download, because the extension actually downloads several kilobytes. This is also possible when using some antivirus software; this software will also check the links on the page.
