Absolutely terrible experience with…

Absolutely terrible experience with Enterprise.

I made a confirmed booking for a van to support a house move to Leicester, only to receive a call at 7:30pm the evening before saying there were no vehicles available — despite my reservation being confirmed in advance.

This left me in a very difficult position with almost no notice. I was forced to urgently find an alternative, which ended up costing me over £200 more and required hiring the van for an extra day.

What made things worse was the attitude when I called to question it. I was told, “we’re not here through the night, so tough,” which is completely unacceptable customer service.

A confirmed booking clearly means very little here. Not only was the service unreliable, but the way the situation was handled showed a complete lack of care for the customer.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before relying on Enterprise for anything time-critical.

Never again

I thought they were good as the picked me up. When it came to returning the vehicle I had to drive it there.

Now when I took the vehicle it was on 170 when I returned it they said it was 4.84 litres short. I was shocked. I took the car to the petrol station and put £5 in which made it 220 miles. I was fuming because I have rented here many times and always gave the car back with much more petrol than I got it. They've never said anything. I hope the pettiness has given them peace. I won't be going back.

Belgrade rent a car

When I came to pick up the car, I first had to convince your employee that I had already paid for a second driver. When I was asked to take out additional insurance, I politely declined. Your employee then told me that I would need to pay €1,200 instead of the agreed €500 as a deposit. I pointed out that the form stated €500, but he claimed that it was an old amount and that the new amounts had supposedly not been updated yet.

Additionally, I was required to sign a form stating that in the event of damage, I give permission for an unlimited amount to be deducted from my account. I did not trust this, so I decided to take the extra insurance. I ended up paying around €200 for a three-day car rental, making it the most expensive car rental I have ever experienced.

When I returned the car, I overheard your employee, who was assisting another customer, mention that this customer only had to pay a €900 deposit. Clearly, there is inconsistency, which I consider to be fraud. Customers are essentially forced into taking extra insurance. This is the last time I will rent a car from Alamo or Enterprise.

Awful Service by Enterprise UK

I was referred to Enterprise by my insurance company as I am entitled to hire car cover on my policy. Was emailed a booking reservation the day after dropping my own car off at the garage for repairs on Mon 6th Feb and it said 21 days rental, which sounded good. I rang and asked if I was picking it up or was it being delivered and they said unfortunately they had no cars available right now but would call me back as soon as they had one. I told them I needed a car by the Thursday as I would need to drive to work, and that I didn’t mind which car it was. I was told I would be placed at the top of their priority list. I heard nothing all week and had to rush around asking people for lifts.

Skip forward to Monday 13th and the garage tell me that there will be extra repairs done as they found more damage so I ring Enterprise and check - no, still no cars available. They’ll ‘call me back as soon as one becomes available’.
I am incredibly frustrated at this point as I still need to rely on other family members and Work colleagues to get to work.
My insurance company aren’t really helping much either.
Again, nothing all week and eventually, I contact the garage and they tell me my car is finished and ready to collect.
12 days of waiting for a hire car is absolutely pathetic when you think that this is one of the biggest rental companies in the UK.
I will not be using them again.

Valencia airport. Don't bother, they are painful!

Enterprise rent a car, Valencia! We hired a vehicle between the 6th-9th October. Which I have now done the last 4 times I have been to Valencia (be it Alamo, Enterprise or Budget). I like the ease a pleasant service, which i prefer and pay the extra for. We were given 6817 LPC, this was not the size of vehicle we expected and as nothing else was on offer we went with it. However, we were travelling to Benidorm and we had a sign flash up, which said Ad Blue or the car will stop in 60km. Not what I really expected on a car which would have been properly checked, a light was showing on the dashboard when we left, we didn't know what the sign meant at that stage. Rather than causing hassle, we stopped and added the adblue. When we returned we mentioned this and handed over the receipt (I took a copy). It's been over 3 months and I've had no communication on this and when I will get my reimbursement. as mentioned I go with you for ease of hire, but not having a car properly checked over and the light on the dashboard told you that, was not really impressed. What's less impressive is the process no one wants to reimburse me or contact me.

Would use from choice

Didn’t use this company out of choice it was through my insurance. on collection of the car I didn’t fill it to the same point of usage To which they wanted to charge me £30 for £5 worth of petrol: the car was collected earlier than arrange hence why: the driver didn’t seem to be to happy that I asked to take the keys back to get it filled.

Very dissatisfied with this company

Very dissatisfied with this company. I wanted to rent a Volkswagon Atlas as was advertised. When I called 2 days away from the lease date to confirm I would indeed get an atlas, I was told there was no guarantee. I checked other local Enterprise companies and none had an Atlas as advertised. I specifically wanted to rent one to try it out on a trip.In the end, the rep. had completely cancelled my reservation and then took forever to re-book. I will not use Enterprise again. It has declined in quality!
