Poor workmanship and poor customer service

The Kerb Appeal director came to my house as I was looking for a new drive and quoted me a decent price for doing an anthracite resin drive. What they do is they take a 20% deposit then pass on the work to a sub contractor to whom you pay the balance. The sub contractor superficially did a good job and it looked great at first however he did not put down a concrete base. After a year the resin started to come away. After many phone calls during which they tried to blame me for having the temerity to park my car on the drive, they eventually returned and had to re-do about 3 square metres putting down concrete this time. The colours now don't match perfectly. In addition there are now other parts of the drive which have come away and I have several holes about 30cm x 30cm where the resin has totally gone. They no longer reply to my calls. The sad thing is that I think the contractor who laid my drive wasn't incompetent, he deliberately cut corners to maximise his profit knowing that he would be off the scene when the issues surfaced. Also many rust spots have appeared on the drive. I don't know if this was unavoidable or whether poor quality materials were used. Either way it looks a mess and won't wash off.

TOTAL SCAM!! AVOID…

We had Kerb Appeal at our door in January thos year offering deals for driveways which we were desperate to get done. Of course we got a quote and they made us a really good offer for a resin driveway. My boyfriend paid the deposit that night of £3150 with the rest due on completion. Initially we wanted it doing ASAP so got booked in for mid Feb. Then my boyfriends grandma died and he had to help pay for the funeral. We contacted Kerb Appeal straight away asking for a refund and explained our circumstances. We were within the 14 day cooling off period. They arsed about before telling us to complete the slip on the bottom of the invoice asking for a refund and told us to send it to their new address at Pride Park. I drove round all the units for over an hour but could not find the unit, even asked other businesses of which no one knew of them. I went back the next day and found the unit but it was empty, they had told me they were in the process of moving in so thought nothing of it.
After alot of phone calls and texts to various people we had spoken too, they came back to us saying we were out of the cooling off period and they had already bought materials for the job, but said they would hold our deposit until we were ready to proceed.
Today by boyfriend rang the guy who came to do the quote, only to be told they have ceased trading!
Absolutely disgusted in these people. How can someone do this to so many people? They need locking up! Boyfriend is currenly on the phone to the police as recommended further down this list.

Lovely space and friendly host

Lovely space and friendly host. We were attended to by Jack and karia and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place with personalized service.

Just a company out to steal money

Just a company out to steal money. They did do the drive in January this year so badly that eventually they came back and took it up saying they would be back the following week to relay . Not seen or heard off them since . They don't answer the phone or reply to any messages.
Just found out on company house website that there request to dissolve the company has been suspended. An objection has been received by the registrar.
I would suggest that everyone makes a complaint to company house via there website

!! WE ALL NEED TO OBJECT ASAP !!

They applied to be struck off (dissolved) on 25th July. We all need to OBJECT ASAP to stop this from happening (on the grounds that they owe all of us money!) Several of us are on mainstream social media. Let’s meet up on there??

I thought I'd add our experience to…

I thought I'd add our experience to this ever growing saga. We paid a deposit for a resin driveway in march this year. Installation date was for September. 2 visits from the rep and 1 visit from the surveyor in March. All seemed ok. At the point we paid the deposit and signed the paperwork my husband noticed the invoice didn't have either a vat reg number or a company number. Being an accountant and having an eye for the small print, he questioned this and requested both numbers. Rep called "head office" and got both numbers. (They should have been on the document in first place). Fast forward to last week when we decided to bring the installation date forward to August. We tried every which way to contact this company, phone calls, emails etc but no response. Then I come across this site and read all these reviews! To say the penny dropped is an understatement! Not a word from anyone at kerb appeal and our deposit of £2,800 gone. I've contacted the police and trading standards and logged with both. Only a few weeks ago this company were showcasing their wares at a local car boot!

We paid money over 1 year ago for a…rs

We paid money over 1 year ago for a resin patio , shed base and dismantle a porch , nothing has been done at all , we have had a shed in store for 6 months , we contacted trading standards and carried out directions suggested by them , writing a letter and paying for signed for , but obviously no one in the office to receive it , contacted the police on two occasions and didn't want to help said its a civil matter , this was premeditated, the man knew what he is doing , and as stated his done this before and probably before that , I cannot possibly think what amount of money has gone through this man's hand's or where it's all gone , if he has assets take them away ,strip him ,and who else was involved, this is absolutely deverstating

Yet another scammed customer.............. Paid £600 deposit in February with an install date of May 2025 promised. Nothing heard since, only an answering service when you phone the main number. I was answered by a guy when I phoned in early May and was promised I was top of his list and he would call me back same day - clearly a professional liar and fraudster.

Paid a large deposit in April 2025

Paid a large deposit in April 2025, had surveyor out and then all went very quiet. Became concerned as not heard anything from the company, only to receive a letter informing us the company is no longer trading. They will be in contact with us to discuss our options?
The only option I am interested in is our deposit being returned but no one answering telephones or returning call after I was able to leave a message on 18.06.25.
I will be taking legal advice, contacting the police and trading standards after reading all those others that have had the unfortunate dealings with this company and also had money taken.
Any guidance from others will be greatly appreciated.

Resin bound Drive

Had my old cracked drive resurfaced 6 months ago with resin bound aggregate. Intially I was happy but very soon areas of the drive became loose and started to crumble. Weeds have started to penetate through the surface despite a 15 year guarantee.
None of the messages left on their answer phone or emails have received replies
Avoid these people

More scamming just a different name

I have already commented on here but was surprised to see a Consumer comment re the company supposedly honouring jobs. If this was a customer who had been scammed they would have been rather more vocal. This is yet another scam from the same company, willing to rob yet more people. They won’t do a decent job. That word doesn’t exist for them. Barge pole comes to mind. I want my money back as promised. No contact from anyone the owner his mother and others should do the right thing. I have contacted the Police. Does anyone know if they are treating this seriously.

FRAUD

Hi all, well we have been had too,, We paid a deposit and were supposed to survey done this morning but they were a 'no show' - Left 3 voice messages and nothing. After looking at the reviews over the last week I have reported them to the police (Nottingham and Derby) as well as Action Fraud and Trading standards,, that was a fun morning - Also speaking to the bank!!! I would advise you to avoid them under whatever company name they are using now,, how disappointing.
