Interesting but BAD! support.

As some already reported Kerish products have bad support Downloaded licensed version on special for one year. Installed it on drive D. Runs more than 2-3 minutes (short time) or I'm trying to update the software it pops up error message: setting folder is not found. Report it to Kerish support. One week later Not in my email box not in their support website. The ticket was not updated neither replied for 1 week now. Maybe will not be answered ever. Very bad support. Kerish PC doctor does what many programs do but it combines all features in one place. Will I ever buy it? The answer is with such a awful support they will never see my dollar

Customer Support is less than 1/4 star.

The product is fine. BUT the Customer Support portion is less than 1 star. This has occurred over 5 times in the past few years, and recently, due to a question for Support.

I sent in the request via their website, I get an email response back, stating give them a few hours. Here is partial reply back to me--

"Thank you for contacting Kerish Products technical support service.
Your request has been received. You can check the status of your request and read our responses anytime by clicking this link.

As a rule, we respond to requests within several hours on the same business day."

Then 2 days later I get the following from them "Unfortunately, it is taking us longer than we expected to resolve your request.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible."

Now it is 4 days since receiving that email. No email or any response of any other kind received.

Problem that I have with this support response, is that when they finally contact you, which can be 3 to 4 weeks later, or more, they ask what your assistance needed is. How am I supposed to remember what my Kerish problem was, or the question was, that I sent to them, SINCE I had to do it on their website and not via email (where I can keep a copy of my inquiry/question)?

A previous time that I had contacted support, I had to go through this same process, and I received a response back over 4 weeks later, stating sorry for misplaced customer support, what was my question again (!). I could not remember what I sent in question wise.

So, software is good, BUT for any Customer Support Assistance, do not count on it.

Due to not getting my questions answered, reference the software usage, I do not want to chance a system problem with the questions I had on a few functions of it, so I uninstalled it.

Don't update your drivers with this software!

Most functions of this software work great. Twice I tried to update my software drivers with their software and both times my computer would not boot afterwards. Reported the problem to Kerish and was told "not their problem, must be a Microsoft problem". Don't know if this is just with my computer running Windows 11 but luckily I have very good backup software (which told me the format of the hard drive was corrupted)

Behold The Extended Review of Doom

Kerish does a lot of things that others don't and for a somewhat fair price.

Let's go through point by point as of today, feb 2025:

1. We're still stuck at v4.95 since Nov 2023; I hope v5 will be insane because otherwise it's a bit disappointing. The interface is oldish. Badly configurated at first, need to go through all settings, it should be simpler. You must spend some time in it.

2. Kerish is more useful on stock windows, but not so useful for AtlasOS, ReviOS and similar open source project. Kerish seems to always be consuming at least ~3% of my CPU and ~20mb ram, so that's okay.

3. Lots of features hasn't been updated in years, some are buggy and you can get free and better (open source) alternatives.

4. The scanning is extensive and most of the features are slow but thorough, the auto cleaning is too frequent, which is bad because your PC generate stuff to use later just to be deleted and generated again, bleachbit is more thorough but risky. You should clean only once every 2 weeks or once a month.

5. Auto problem solver/ auto error repair: good but not always detecting issues and some stuff are so rare that it's not useful for a normal user on the latest windows, on the contrary, it consume monitoring resources.

6. Win Tweaker: good but winaero tweaker is better and free.

7. Driver update is ok, not as good as SDIO (free), driver easy or glarys driver updater.

8. The "recommandation" tool is nice and save some time.

9. Startup Optimization: not as good as Glary's, a bit better than windows tool but not as good as microsoft Autoruns.

10. Optimization of Services: awesome, but you can achieve the same with WinUtil (CTT) & Optimizer (github) & Hone Optimizer, and for free.

11. Task Scheduler Opti: it's good but you can just open your task scheduler or Autoruns.

12. Internet Booster: This one is awesome but ONLY IF you use TCP optimizer after it (both are complementary), 1 MAJOR issue is the CCP=none is absolutely not recommended. ACK=2 is bad for gaming.

13. Memory Optimization: Great but memreduct (free) is much better.

14. Defrag: Complete trash, free open source alternatives are much better, like ultra defrag, glary's one is better and o&o defrag is the king.

15. File recovery, File shredder are fine but slow.

16. Disk map: Quite bad and very slow, wiztree is much better, and free.

17. Fast search etc: wizfile and everything are both much better and free.

18. Hardware monitoring does not always work well or is accurate, I disabled it for more performances, not as good as HWiNFO (free), for exemple.

19. Apps Live Opti: Windows already has "Affinity", which change the priorities automatically, so does the "game mode", so for apps you can achieve the same thing using prio or process lasso.

Otherwise it's actually good for gaming, max priority for CPU, HDD, RAM etc, but in reality it's like only 10% better, on stock windows.

20. PC Protection: Actually good, windows Defender came back higher on recent benchmarks and if you add a layer of security with kerish and Next DNS, then you will be set for life.

21. PC Control: Annoying if not configured.

Now the Tools:

- Software uninstaller: good and similar to geek uninstaller, but the later is free.

- Running processes and other similar tools can be replaced for better and free alternative like procmon.

- Service tool: actually better than windows default interface for normal users.

- Context menu editor: confusing.

- Locked file: Very slow & unstable, can be used directly on some files, can crash explorer.exe, can cause bluescreen, similar to Powertoys unlocker, which can also unlock processes, and is free.

- Domain map: a good idea for advanced users, otherwise use Next DNS, it's free.

- Most of the other tools are okay or good enough but you have free alternative and many people will never use them.

Conclusion: It's a no brainer, if you want a decent "all in one" package I would say it's good enough, above many other similar software, especially if you don't want to have many different program installed.

Otherwise it's not worth it if you're using AtlasOS with free open source tools like the few I mentioned.

Many years ago, I showed Kerish to a friend and he bought it immediately and offered me 1 license key, twice. So I'm not complaining but if I had paid for it, I would say it's a 6/10.

I absolutely LOVE it. and NO I have no affiliation or membership of this company, just an ordinary Joe who is grateful for great programs like this. Thank You KD

I just got kerishpcdr today

I just got kerishpcdr today. I performed all of their optimization options along with a full scan. I read the details of each section in which the tool had suggestions for fixing and/or optimization then after creating a restore point I let the tool fix everything. My boot and shutdown is now half as long as it was. Also, before there was a 30 to 50 second delay after startup for any desktop icon rt click to open the context menu. This delay is now less than 5 seconds. I notice my programs start faster and are generally more responsive. Less than two weeks ago I used two highly recommended PC ccleaners... (;-) so obviously Kerish found more tricks and performed much better in improving my laptop performance. I highly recommend it.

Best system optimizer out there!

I have been using Kerish Doctor for about 3 years now and it works great, cleans up my machine without removing anything pertinent. Much better than CC Cleaner, ASC or Ashampoo and it is much more lightweight. Can't recommend enough!
