A simple and seamless service. Started with every two weeks. Within a the first month I opted for every week and worth it. Thank you for a great service.

I like the reminder of the pickup day. I wish I could choose only once a month in the colder months.

If you don’t want to deal with the mess of doing your own compost, this is a great service. They are easy to work with, collecting your bucket on a regular schedule and replacing it with a new one. Three customer service features I like are the yearly billing discount option, the pick up reminder emails, and the pick up person’s effort to collect the bucket even when I forget to put it out. Also I appreciate being able to stop service when went on vacation.

This is such a simple way to put less in our landfills! Great service!

Key City Compost has gone above and beyond to make sure I am able to compost, which is super cool! If I forget to put my bucket out, they'll leave an additional one for me anyway. Once, during a move, they even followed me to my new home to pick up my compost after I'd forgotten to adjust the address! Key City is the greatest and Frederick is incredibly lucky to have a program like this! Thank you for all that you do!

Such a great service. So easy, effective and clean and the customer support is top notch.

Good for the environment, good for our community.

The composting service is good for the environment by moving compostable materials out of landfills and converting them to usable compost. It helps our community's bottom line by reducing trash collection fees. It also helps keep plastic trash bags out of the wast stream. Since all the messy stuff goes in the compost bin, the rest of the trash is essentially dry so I can use a paper bag to dispose of it.

I am so grateful for this service! I cannot compost at my home, and the ability to turn my kitchen waste back into soil makes me happy. The bins are clean and fresh each time, and two weeks per bin works great for a single person. I look forward to receiving compost in spring for my garden beds!

Couldn’t ask for an easier way to move forward on a path towards an environmentally friendly and sustainable home. We have less than one bag of trash a week now and it is never stinky! It is such a great feeling to know that all of our food waste is going back into the ground in a nourishing way, rather than being trapped in a landfill and contributing to atmospheric methane levels. Key City Compost has always been quick to respond to my questions and any changes I need to make for my pickups. They are very professional and easy to work with.

It makes me happy to be able to have my compostable trash put to use other than filling up the land fills. Even better, the soil I received from the compost made my hydrangea bloom like I've never seen before.

I've been a customer since April of 2019 and have never had any problems.

They are always true to their word - My compost bucket is picked up and replaced when they say it will be and when there are schedule changes needed (weather, holidays, etc...) I always get enough notice.

I've also had occasional questions about what I can put in the bucket and I've always gotten prompt answers.

I love that I can keep my food scraps out of the landfill and still get quality compost for my garden without having to do all the hard work in between.

I can fit a surprising amount in my weekly bucket! Our trash is significantly lessened. Rates seem reasonable to me.

I fully support my community in the desire to have every single resident utilize Key Compost, not just because it is good for the planet, but also because there is less trash blowing around our beautiful neighborhood when there are fewer attractions for squirrels and crows breaking into garbage bags!

Key Compost is very reliable in their pick up and delivery of 5 gallon pails, and the items that are allowed for composting are so generous that it cuts back on frequency of putting out regular trash. Thank you Key Compost!

They send emails to remind you of service. Always courteous if we have any interactions but don’t usually. Enjoy the soil to add to our garden, but mostly glad to do something better with our waste.

Thanks for always contacting us by email the day before our scheduled pick-up. And, a big thanks for re-scheduling for an early pick-up due to the snowstorm. Good thinking and planning!
