I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this lot. A lesson learnt! I ordered a woollen throw for the foot stool in the sitting room. What came seemed to be the wrong colour, harsh and bright, and cheaply made. It wasn't expensive in the first place so I wasn't expecting a lot. The edges were overlocked, not finished as a genuine Scottish rug is finished so I decided to return. I have never been asked to email a company first, but hey ho, I did. They asked for photos, so I spread it on the floor and took photos, very strange! The email came back that they had sent the wrong item and they would refund. They sent me a prepaid label and I have now been refunded. That was a surprise that it came so quickly. Basically, they are sending stuff not ordered in the hope that the customer will keep it.

They get 1 star for the prepaid label to return. I asked for my original postage charge to be refunded but, of course, it hasn't been.

Disgraceful company, don’t care about anything, order rugby kit for my son, was 5 day delivery, this change due to stock taking issues, when dispatched sent to the wrong address. Called the company and they did care.. really don’t trust them. Scammers

Dreadful service all round. They took immediate payment for the scarf I ordered, but it was almost two weeks before they despatched it. When it arrived, I wasn't best pleased: really cheap-looking, inferior so-called 'lambswool' and a good six inches longer than advertised. Never again!

UPDATE: 12th Jan 2025...
Following my email to Kilt, I have now received a lambswool scarf. It's actually really nice. I'd attach photos if I could. However, would it have arrived if I didn't know someone in Trading Standards? I don't know. Another of life's many mysteries!
Like many of the reviews below, I wish I'd checked Trust Pilot first. I ordered a 'cashmere' scarf on 31st Dec. No sign of it yet and it's now 8th Jan. I can't find any tracking details on the shop site.
Urghhh! How can people behave like this and sleep at night? I find it so hard to understand these behaviours.
I'll be talking to a friend in Trading Standards if Kilt don't respond positively to an email that I just sent them. He is like a terrier and will do his level best to sort it out if possible.
Another learning curve!

Website suggests this is a Scottish shop selling Scottish cashmere product - this is a lie. Company is not Scottish and sells cheap/fake Chinese cashmere. Delivery timescale was awful and the scarf I bought is made out of the worst ‘cashmere’ I’ve ever seen, incredibly course fibres, definitely not proper cashmere. Do not purchase from this scam company.

Wish I'd checked the poor reviews on here before ordering from this company. Late to ship my order then only part of my order is coming. Asked for a full refund but given partial one with the part order sent out in post despite my request. Wouldn't mind but they are still showing the item as in stock on the website and taking orders despite not having them in stock!!!

Terrible customer service, they replied to email but less than helpful. One to avoid...

I ordered a Tartan Walker Umbrella from the Sale. I received a Royal Stewart Umbrella which is nothing like the Walker Tartan! Not very impressed.

I got all my items in a few days after I ordered them. The items were well packed and everything was in good working order. Id ordered from another site and the items I got was not real leather, they were real leather from Kilt. I did a review because id seen a few negative reviews. I was expecting problems but I had none. Would buy from again.

Great customer experience, contacted them as my order was last minute but needed in time for a birthday celebration. Item was dispatched same day….just received by postie. Would definitely recommend.

Placed order no communication from them at all. I had to contact them. To be told that order was cancelled due to failing quality check! Poor service awaiting communication refund

Ordered various food items. After 10 days contacted them. Received instant response, which I think was standard letter. 'Your order will be despatched today (it wasn't) and received within 48 hours' (it wasn't). The priority of your order and the shipping has been upgraded' - really, after 10 days? Was despatched 2 days later, received 2 days after that, making 2 weeks since order. Items had been crammed into too small a box, and packages were squashed. Would not use again.

Really good quality scarves. I placed an order for a lambswool scarf on the website and received it within 4 days - was very impressed with the delivery time given I had seen some of the negative reviews before purchasing. I am very pleased with my order and have made a second purchase. Well done kilt.co.uk!

Waited longer than advertised delivery, finally had an email saying two of the items had been dispatched, but two items would not be delivered and I would receive a refund, out of just four items, only two could be delivered and one of those was a Christmas present, never ever again will I use this company.

I made a purchase of a kilt and a rugby T-shirt on a Sunday night for a stag do at a great price.Unfortunately I panicked on the Monday as I needed to have them by Friday so went with a more expensive option that I could collect nearby. I asked for a refund Monday night by email (order hadn't dispatched yet) and had it first thing Tuesday.

I cant say as to the items quality themselves as I cancelled but customer service and cancellation speed was great. Think they might be a little slow to dispatch because they share warehouse space/shops with other sites (I imagine from the website similarities). So i would recommend giving plenty of time for dispatch and delivery.

But otherwise they did great and I'll probably try again next time with more time beforehand.

My experience with this company was dreadful. My kids bought me gifts for my birthday. A sporran which was so appallingly damaged in went back. Refund was processed. Clan cufflinks literally fell apart as I took them out the package. Worst thing was the disappointment on my boy’s faces. No response to my email. Couldn’t recommend this crew to anyone.

Bought a handbag from this company. The faux leather on one of the handles started coming away and splitting after 2 months of limited use. The company were not interested in replacing or even repairing the handbag. Not fit for purpose. Terrible customer service.

Ordered some Clan cuff links and kilt pins and arrived quickly and no fuss
