On 02.10.2026 I sent 1,123.16 USDT (TRC-20) for two orders. Payment was received.
The exchange was frozen "based on a preliminary AML assessment". No risk indicator or provider was named.
They refuse to return the funds to the sending address unless I email a passport and a selfie holding it.
When I asked which legal entity would receive my passport, they replied this information is "not provided to unidentified users… without a legal request" - while replying to me by my order numbers.
No legal entity is named anywhere on the site. Lapu Labs OÜ, the Estonian company public sources link to the service, was dissolved in March 2024.
Per their AML policy the check takes "on average 1 to 10 business days, but may last an indefinite time"; no refund until it ends.
BestChange rates Kingex with a red AML tag: "high risk of unjustified long delays".
My opinion: AML is used here as a pretext to hold customers' money. Do not send funds or ID documents to a service that refuses to identify itself.

There is an important clarification regarding your review: Kingex did not receive the funds. The transaction was blocked at the deposit address by an automated AML check. Therefore, the claim that the service received and is holding your USDT does not reflect what happened.
The block was triggered by medium- and high-risk indicators associated with the sending address. You mentioned some of these risks in your correspondence with us. The possibility of an AML review was disclosed before the orders were placed, and you confirmed your agreement to the service rules. You did not use the free sending-address check we offer before payment.
You have already received Kingex’s official response to your inquiry by email.

The statements in this review are untrue and omit material facts regarding the transaction.
The funds were not blocked arbitrarily or without reason. The transaction was subject to AML screening and generated multiple risk indicators, including:
— Sanctions
— Fraud
— Seized Assets
— Fraudulent Cryptocurrency Exchange
—Other risk indicators identified during the AML analysis
These indicators required additional verification before the transaction could be processed further.
The statement that Kingex “refuse to return” the funds is also false. Kingex has never refused to return the funds. You was informed that the funds may be returned after completion of the required AML verification. Alternatively, you may choose to complete the verification and proceed with the order, subject to the outcome of the review.
Presenting this situation as an arbitrary seizure of funds and claiming that Kingex simply refuses to return them is therefore a misleading representation of the actual circumstances.
It is also notable that you successfully used our service previously without raising the concerns described in this review. These issues arose only after yours transaction was subject to AML screening and multiple risk indicators were identified.
Kingex applies AML/KYC procedures to protect the service and its users and to comply with applicable compliance requirements. The fact that a customer disagrees with an AML review does not make the review arbitrary or optional.

I put my virtual Macys card on their site to sell it. Agreed on the price the offered and they were supposed to put money on my cash app. That was Thursday today is Saturday I've received only automated email responses to my inquiries about the still processing gift card. I went to Macys com checked the balance ... It is $0.00. They stole $50. Unbelievable!
