We've been guiding on the Bow River since 2008, so going on 15+ years now of putting anglers on trophy brown and rainbow trout. The average fish here runs about 19 inches. The Bow River flows right through the city of Calgary and holds over 3,000 trout per mile. That makes it one of the top fly fishing destinations in the world, and we fish it 200+ days a year. We always know what's hatching, where the fish are sitting, and which flies are actually working. Not last week. Today. We're 100% local Calgary guides. No outsourced staff, no seasonal hires coming in from out of province. When you book with King Trout, you're fishing with someone who lives on this river. We run full-day float trips ($750 CAD) and half-day trips ($525 CAD), both out of a professional drift boat. Everything is included. Rods, reels, waders, boots, flies, and hotel pickup from your Calgary accommodation. Full-day trips include lunch on the water too. Doesn't matter if you've never held a fly rod before or your chasing a personal best on 6X tippet. We tailor every trip to your experience level. Season runs April through October. We're members of the Angling Outfitter Guide Association of Alberta (AOGAA), fully insured, and first aid certified. Come fish the Bow with us.
