KitchenSaver Bait and Switch

I recently contacted KitchenSaver for a consultation. The salesman came out a gave a 3-hour pitch for their service/product. During that pitch it was said that at the end of the presentation we would know the total cost of their service. We were presented with that cost and the required down payment. After discussing we decided to accept the offer and provided a down payment of $2340 or 30% of the total cost. The following day I received a phone call from the salesman saying that there was a mistake on the down payment and that it should have been 33% not 30%. I added another $260 to the down payment for a total of $2600. The following week I received another phone call from a KitchenSaver VP saying the when the project manager looked over the proposal there was a discrepancy of $3600. This with no one ever coming out to take measurements and after being provided with the total cost of the project. I was told the Kitchen Saver would "split the difference" and I would be responsible for another $1800. I was also given the option to cancel, which I accepted. Can you say bait and switch.

Very high pressure sales

Very high pressure sales! Work appears to be well done we will see. They do not value home owners time. One worker wants to work after hours one worker shows at noon and one will only work 9 to 5. But biggest complaint was that the cabinet for my built in oven (Kitchen saver had dimensions for oven at start of project). when appliance installers came to install oven it did not fit because cabinet was wrong size. After contacting the companies representee he wish to talk to installers where he belittled the installers. than me and my wife. This representee of the company wanted us to modify cabinet when we refused to cut this cabinet, he offered if we would pay $250.00 he would send somebody out to modify the cabinet that was clearly not the size needed for oven.
