Kitup application

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally complain about a series of unauthorized charges made by the Kitup application to my bank account between 2025 and 2026, totaling 124.95 EUR.

Case Summary:

Subscription Status: I downloaded Kitup via the App Store on December 22, 2024, and initiated a subscription. Shortly after, I cancelled the renewal via my Apple ID settings. I have not actively used the app since August 2025.

Unauthorized Transactions: Despite my cancellation, I discovered that payments of 24.99 EUR were deducted directly from my bank account (bypassing Apple’s billing system) on the following dates: March 22, June 22, September 22, and December 22, 2025.

Current Issue: Even though my account currently shows a "Standard/Non-Premium" status and my previous subscription officially ended, a further 24.99 EUR was withdrawn on March 22, 2026, without my consent or any valid subscription agreement.

Demands:

Full Refund: I demand an immediate refund of the total 124.95 EUR unjustly withdrawn from my account.

Proof of Consent: If you claim these charges were authorized, I demand that you provide the digital log records and the explicit consent form (time-stamped) that you are legally required to maintain.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate this complaint to the relevant Consumer Protection Authorities and initiate a chargeback process through my bank.

Sincerely,

December 22, 2025

Scam

Scam. Low quality AI-generated translation and voice. Still trying to charge me 5 months after cancellation. Worst service I've seen so far.

Avoid This Company

Scammers

Review:
I have been charged multiple times by Kitupup without my consent (over £70 in total) and despite contacting them repeatedly, they keep asking for the same information over and over even after I have sent my payment receipts, the last 4 digits of my card, and my full name multiple times.

Every time I provide the details, they reply claiming they cannot “find a payment” under my email and ask me to send the exact same information again. This has been going on for weeks with no resolution and no refund.

I believe this is a deliberate stalling tactic and strongly warn others to avoid this company. I will be reporting them to my bank and consumer protection authorities for unauthorized charges.

Avoid at all costs.

Complete scam

Complete scam. Do not share your credit card info with them. The app doesn’t give you a renewal alert, doesn’t ask for your consent, the subscription cancel option doesn’t work in app and website, without giving any option to cancel or asking for your permission they simply force you to renew and upgrade. Upon filing your complain they will just let you know it was all your choice and the subscription fee is nonrefundable, which is a complete lie. Stay away from this kind of scammers.

The company made an unauthorized withdrawal from my account without my consent.

I purchased a 3-month trial membership through the application “Kitup.” During this period, I did not actively use the application. At the end of the subscription period, my membership was automatically renewed without my knowledge or consent, and a payment of $24.99 USD was withdrawn from my bank account without authorization.

Based on legal grounds and consumer rights, I am formally requesting the cancellation of my membership and a full refund for the following reasons:

1. Violation of Pre-Notification Obligation
According to the Consumer Protection Law (or the applicable legislation in my country), service providers must notify users in a clear and transparent manner before any automatic renewal takes place.
I did not receive any notification via email, SMS, or in-app alert regarding the renewal.

2. Lack of Explicit Consent
This automatic payment was made without my explicit consent, which directly violates the “informed consent” principle in distance contracts. Such cases must be interpreted in favor of the consumer.

3. Non-Usage of the Service
The renewed subscription period was not used at all, which clearly indicates consumer dissatisfaction. In such cases, digital service providers are expected to offer an unconditional refund for unused services.

4. Immediate Cancellation and Refund Request
I contacted you on the same day or the following day of the renewal to request a cancellation and refund. Despite this, no action has been taken, which is a clear violation of the rights of a good-faith consumer.

My Request
Based on the reasons listed above, I formally request:
• The cancellation of my renewed membership,
• A refund of the $24.99 USD charged to my account,
• And I hereby notify you that I will initiate legal proceedings if my request is not addressed promptly.

My Experience with KitUp – Unauthorized Charge and Poor Customer Support

update 2025/MAY/18: after some emails and this post here they refound me

Original Post
I want to share my experience with KitUp, a service I don’t recall ever subscribing to. Recently, I noticed a charge from KitUp on my account. I was confused because I don’t remember signing up, agreeing to any terms, or even knowing what this service is about.

I immediately contacted their support team to request a refund, explaining that I never intentionally subscribed and am not using their service. Despite my concerns, they refused to issue a refund.

To me, this raises serious red flags about the company's business practices. if i subcribed it was not intentional, maybe I pressed the worng botton without realising it, refusing to resolve the issue is, in my opinion, dishonest and untrustworthy. It gives the impression of a company that prioritizes profit over transparency and customer satisfaction.

I’m sharing this to warn others—check your bank statements and be cautious with platforms like KitUp. If a company can't back up its legitimacy with fair customer service, that says a lot.

I was charged $49.99 for a subscription…

I was charged $49.99 for a subscription I didn’t use. I canceled the subscription immediately and contacted support.

They promised to respond within 24 hours, but it’s been longer and I haven’t heard back.

This is not acceptable. Please refund my money or I will have to report this as fraud.
