Bought a BIO FUEL fire, it was DAMAGED/UNSAFE

Bought a BIO FUEL fire, it arrived damaged, spent THREE MONTHS trying to get them to refund without success.
Company is all one as Blumfeldt/Chal-Tec it is impossible to get further than the initial INF@ stage, they simply IGNORE FACTS GIVEN are very very IGNORANT impo. I am now making application to the County Court for judgement to get my money refunded.
I would advise AVOID THESE COMPANIES as there are much better companies to buy from.

Dreadful company

Order number: 0408466548. Dreadful company. Microwave arrived and looked fine, but the door wouldn’t open. You have to push down in the top of the door to open it. Then it turns on but doesn’t heat anything up. Filled in the return form. Heard nothing. 2 emails, 2 live chats and still no return/replacement or refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY they are dreadful!

Poor quality and expensive

Poor quality and expensive.
I bought a VitaPour water filter in December 2024. Cost over £300. I replace the filter, another £70 and now the machine stopped working all together. It would have been cheaper to buy bottled water.
The manual that came with the machine is useless as it mentions buttons that do not exist or are mot documented such as water intake button, reset button, none of them exist.

Avoid at all cost!!!
Klarstein must be the worst online company I have ever had to deal with. Their products are poor quality and their customer service is non-existent.
I purchased a infrared heat panel and when it arrived I noticed the box was damaged, on closer inspection the box had been cut open and resealed. When I removed the heater it was damaged in several places. I took photos and contacted Klarstein, followed their guidelines for returning the goods but they did not! They initially offered a discount for the broken electric heater. I said no I wished to return the product and obtain a refund. This was the start of their delaying tactics, they requested a video, more pics, they delayed in answering emails, and eventually stopped any communication. I contacted my bank to process a chargeback, they were very helpful and after approx one month they managed to get the payment refunded. Only then did Klarstein contact me to arrange for the return of the goods, not at anytime did they offer me a refund, they only contacted me as the bank had processed a chargeback. They are a terrible company to deal with, impossible to contact via phone and ignore your emails. As a footnote - they also messed up my address and told me to contact the delivery company to fix the issue!!!

Poor quality & Faulty cooker hood

Faulty and poor quality cooker hood. The metal is flimsy, the LED lights are poor and the item didn't work!
It's taken over a month of emails & phone calls to get a response to returning the item, delaying the kitchen refurbishment project. I have had to purchase another cooker hood from a different company in order to progress.

Used to be good. Phone number gone off website and website not applying the 10% discount. Pathetic

Pointless reply 4 days later! You've lost the sale. I went and bought elsewhere. You'll not get any business from me again.

Why you taken the phone number off the website? I don't use any company you can't contact directly via phone.

All off for Xmas but still taking sales. You can't have your cake and eat it. If you're not at work, don't take the sale.

Worst experience in product and customer service!

I bought an air fryer, stainless steel, 34 l, which broke after only 11 months of occasional use.
I waited more than a month for them to send me a repaired device but I didn't get my repaired device, they sent me another used device that was so dirty and greasy that it was disgusting as if it had been sent from the scrapyard.

I have never had a new device break after only 11 months and be sent an old dirty and greasy device so I will never buy a product from Klarstein again, it advertises itself as a German company but the devices are from China.

Response to company attempt to remove complaint!

Company reply was just insincere empty words that only serve to cover up unprofessional practices!

On Jan 6 you copy/paste your "sincere" response but you did nothing!
You said that my complaint is taken "very seriously" - but you acted contrary to your words - you only "very seriously" tried to remove my complaint!

My true complaint is the only honest and not your unprofessional manipulation against the (ex)customers of your products.

First your product breaks after only 11 months of occasional use - then after 1-2 months you send me not mine, who knows how long used, dirty, greasy fryer as if from a flea market - and that's not enough you try to dispute my genuine complaint which only proves that you not only sell bad products but also practice very bad and dishonest relationship with (NEVER AGAIN) customers!

Delivery and CS problematic

Delivery of mini fridge nothing but problematic. Took almost 1 month to receive by which point I had tried to cancel but not possible. Attempts to email have failed and chats completed on website conducted but no follow up. Still chasing Klarstein for returns label so I can have unit sent back. Order 0408241370
To add since update i have emailed the info email address on 30.12.25 which is in addition to chat previous week. Would expect someone to contact me.

Ordered a steam oven on 3 dec 2025

Ordered a steam oven on 3 dec 2025. Keep waiting for it but dpd havent update the tracking history for several days that’s why i chat with customer service. They promise to get back to me after 2 -3 days but they never. Finally i updated myself on dpd website and found it has arrived uk depot on 19 dec. i then reschedule a delivery to 22 dec but i didnt get the time slot on that day. After checked, it said it has been packed and return to sender.

I called Klarstein customer service but they couldn’t answer why the product is sending back. Keep saying sorry but either can refund or resend. Have to dispatch again from Germany, god knows how long have to wait for again. I choose refund and would like to said their customer service is the worst, so as my purchase experience.

Brilliant company to deal with

Brilliant company to deal with. We had a few hiccups with the item, which was a suitability issue on our side, so the original was returned and a different style supplied. Kept informed at all times, and now that the new unit is installed it looks fantastic.

Faulty fire and ghosting

Bought a fire in May 2025 and which is now faulty. I wanted to return the item to them for a full refund and they offered me 10%. After a number of emails asking again for collection and refund over a period of 4 weeks they are now ghosting me. My order number is 0407372172 and my ticket number is 8007693189. I thought a German company would be better than this. I would not recommend them to anyone.

So in spite of the reply to my initial review, Klarstein have not been in touch with me and I am still £230 out of pocket for trusting they would honour their part of our contract. Please do not waste your money buying from them.
