Environmentally Unsustainable
Building a shower and used Knauf Aquapanel. Will tile walls and want a skim for the sloping ceiling. Knauf UK recommend Knauf Interior Skim for the ceiling. They advise it comes in 25Kg bags only and is 5Kg per m2, so in essence their recommendation is I throw 80% of the bag away. Most shower ceilings are circa 1m2. Most shower walls are tiled. Knauf know this but only sell in 25Kg bags and so know most is thrown away. It gets worse: their recommended stockist told me their minimum order is 1 pallet. Knauf, you need to live up to your environmental statement rather than onlu paying lip service to it.
